Motivatonal Movie Moments

Films have a way of getting to us. Making us strive for something more. Something better. Sports movies especially.

And for me, few moments in any film have ever put that spark back in my eyes the way Vision Quest did, and to be specific, this scene:

This serves to remind us that time is just an abstract measure of our lives. But it's what we do with our time - whether or not we make the most of it - that really matters.

Have to go with two moments.

First and Foremost, the ending from the film Rudy. Man... I've seen this probably over a hundred times by now, but the moments below never fails to fill my arms with fucking goosebumps. For over two hours you watch this guy give everything he has to get this one moment, and when it finally comes... man, it's something else.

And I know this is unoriginal, but The Karate Kid ending gets me every time as well. This has been parodied as much as any other scene in the history of film, but it still never gets cheesy to me. It's just a great, great moment.

My favorite movie of all time, is Shawshank Redemption. Therefore, my pick for the most moving moment is obviously going to come from that movie, and I'm sure you can guess which scene.

When Andy finally falls into the river, and is a free man, he stands there in the rain, and finally breathes the free air. It's very moving, and wraps up the entire movie. There's so many scenes that can be called moving in there, but this one defines them all.

I'd also have to go with the fight from Rocky Balboa. Sure, the movie is a step down from the originals, but I was standing in my office, cheering for Rocky as he took punch after punch, and stood toe-to-toe with the best boxer in the world. It was a great scene, and had a lot of emotion behind it.
