Most ''emotional'' storyline ever!!!

Another one that springs to mind, and im suprised no-one has mentioned, is more of a moment than an actual storyline. The night of The Rock's return, when he interupted Coach firing Eugene!! Just the way he made Eugene feel special....and when Eugene utterered the Famous ''It Doesn't Matter...'' line, kinda put a little lump in my throat :D

I think a storyline that's underrated for emotion is the buildup for The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 17. It's not as emotional as HHH vs. RKO at WM 25 but was great how Austin was trying to get back at the top and was told The Rock how he needed to beat him and win the title and The Rock playing role of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Especially because I got the feeling that it could've been anyone but he just happened to have the title, so, when everything was said and done, he got screwed over for no reason than just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Also, I think a story line that could've of reeked of emotion if they did it differently was the Invasion angle because most of those guys were never the bigger names in the industry at the time and they could've played it as guys fearing for how they were going to provide for their children or just trying to make it to the next day or something.

I think the NXT angle on RAW has some potential. Anyone else think the NXT rookies were behind the attack on the undertaker? Certainly seems to have lit a fire under Kane....no pun intended!!

Got too agree with The Undertaker Vs Yokozuna when a whole bunch of heels came out and took out the undertaker i was around 7 at the time if i remember and i cried with anger that no one helped :( Was so happy when he got his revenge :D

Another emotional storyline for me was the begginning of the Corporate Ministry when Ken Shamrock was running around trying to help Vince get Stephanie back, Just all the mind games with the teddy burning, Vince in turmoil lol lots of twists, it was a great storyline which ended with Austin being sucked in and screwed by Vince it really was one of the best storylines i have really enjoyed i got really into that one.

Great Thread

So many to mention but for me the top has the following

Taker/Flair WM18

It didn't seem that emotional to make this list but if you remember after Taker beat up Anderson/Flair's oldest son David he says something a long the lines of "don't make me find the rest of the family" That wasn't the exact words but it was something a long the lines of that and it was one of those moments where you just think "they really went there"

HHH/HBK

I think just about everybody has this in their top five. HHH says the only way he'll go with Bischoff if Eazy E brings back his best friend! They come out with the DX shirts and the fans are going nuts.. only to be followed by BAM! This then turns into Shawn getting the video footage of Hunter blind siding him. This leads to one of the best promo in the history of the post attitude era. "I'll be ready by say.... Summerslam!"

And of course you got to mention Hardy/Edge

Those who knew what happened were in shock when hardy jumped the barricade. Great booking!

HHH V Orton 2009: Once Orton hit that faitful RKO after No Way Out 2009 to Stephanie you knew HHH would blow his load i mean look at the mans face after Orton split the ring he was PISSED. The whole build to seeing HHH chase legacy through the ring the Home invasion all the way to the DDT and Kiss to Stephanie by Orton. It was some emotinal shit even though it broke kayfabe but by 2009 who didnt know HHH was with Steph.

For me it was Hogan Vs Savage at Mania 5 as it'd been building for about 8 months. I was rather young then and seeing my favourite wrestlers and best friends going on to become bitter enemies had me hooked

This one is easy for me.

It is when Shawn Michael's "lost his smile." HBK vacated the WWF title on a special Thursday Raw because, as he explained, he had a career ending knee injury. I remember seeing this and just felt crushed. This storyline got me. Yeah, the injury turned out to be nothing (possibly an excuse so Shawn didn't have to drop the belt to Bret at WM 13), but it still gets me.

A second also involves Shawn Michaels. After Shawn had his ass destroyed by several Marines outside of a night club, the WWF used the angle to really turn Shawn into a super face. Shawn ended up having to vacate the IC title and take some time off to heal up. When he returned, in a match w/ Owen Hart, Shawn was on the receiving end of an enzuigiri and "suffered a serious concussion." This led to another retirement angle while Shawn healed up.

So yeah, any angle w/ Shawn Michaels that involves retirement...this last year's WM in AZ qualifies.

This is a random one, but one that I think could've had a lot more potential if they could've pushed it out longer, and that was Shane McMahon and Test. Granted, I don't think either of them are great performers, but it was a feud that I think could've really gone a lot farther if they wanted it to. I still think it was a good feud, but just too short.

Another one that had a lot of potential but I think was just kind of short was Big Boss Man v. Nailz. This was a good feud based on revenge that just didn't go far enough.

My favorite emotional feud of all time, and I'm surprise this one hasn't been brought up yet is Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant. Andre was a friend of Hogan's for years. Then, on Piper's Pit that one fateful day, for what was seemingly no reason, Andre just ripped the cross and the shirt off of Hogan. Not only was this a great feud, but it was a feud that lasted for over 2 years. Of course, there were only one or two PPV's during the year, so you could really build things up, but that was just a great feud to me and something that really drug me in.

Here is another feud for you, that really never took off, but had a lot of potential. Randy Savage vs. George Steel all over Elizabeth. Lot of potential, just kind of fell flat for me.

the most emotional storyline for me has to be the hurricane and rosey's storyline. every time i think about them it bring a tear to my eye. everytime i think how the hurricane betrayed S.H.I.T(Super Hero In Training) i want to roll up in a little corner and cry.
