I have a few games that I'm anticipating.
Super Mario Galaxy 2:
It's already out here in the States, but I need money to get it, and as such I am still anticipating it. IGN gave it a 10, which is only making me want it more. The added Yoshi elements look to be really good, and it looks like Luigi is more involved, which I like.
Madden NFL 11:
They have made such drastic changes this year, and it really looks to have made the game even better. They added the Greatest Play-By-Play man ever in Gus Johnson, changed the play-calling to make it realistic, and fixed both the running game and kicking game, 2 things that were lackluster in previous years.
and finally, I have no clue how no one mentioned this one
NBA JAM:
When Midway went under, EA picked up the NBA Jam rights, and it either flew under the radar for some reason. Well, NBA Jam is BACK (coming out for Wii sometime later this year), and they are doing a fantastic job with it so far. They brought in Mark Turmell, the creator of the original, to work with the game. They also brought back the original voice of NBA Jam Tim Kitzrow, who will deliver all the classic 1-liners, as well as some new ones (including some that are being decided by a fan-vote on the NBA Jam Facebook page). The preliminary rosters were decided by a fan voting on their website (obviously changes will be made for guys changing teams). Also, apparently there are supposedly going to be a crapload of unlockables and hidden stuff, just like in the past. They also have said that if you want to relive the glory days and play as your favorite team from the original game, you can do it.
I don't think I ever have been as anticipated for a video game as I am for NBA Jam. I am not a big basketball fan anymore, but I will be getting this game as soon as it comes out, and orgasming at the greatness of this game, which appears to be a perfect mix of old and new.
