Most Anticipated Game Of 2010

PsychoBlack

Damn it feels good to be a Taylor!!
which game are you most excited for that comes out this year because theres so many great sequels coming out and i just wanted to know what everyone thought

For me itd have to be either skate3 or mafiaII ie been waiting for these games forever and mafia looks amazing while skate looks kind of sketchy but im sur ethe guys at EA will get it right

There are two games i'm looking forward to. One of those being the new splinter cell. I've been waiting on this game to come out for along time. It looks amazing, and I just got the demo and it's amazing! I cannot wait for this game.

The other is Halo Reach. I'm praying they've done a good job with the campaign after the horrible campaign in Halo 3. The multiplayer looks amazing, and I'm looking forward to playing the beta when it comes out in a couple of weeks.

Metroid: Other M

This game I think will be a surprise hit, traditionally Metroid hasn't done too well and the GC versions were a bit poor. Thankfully this isn't a prime game and with Team Ninja at the helm you can expect a pretty good game.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

So far looks like Super Mario Galaxy 1 with Yoshi added in. So what, SMG is one of my favourite games ever. This will again be another fun filled game which has you staying up for 'one more level', new additions such as an update of the map, new levels and new power ups are making this a must!

Zelda

All we know is this:

Come on E3

I agree with Paradox. Halo:Reach is a game I am really looking forward to. I have seen all of the videos leading up to the Beta and the multiplayer looks really good. Hopefully the campaign will have improved from Halo 3. If they could take the length of the Halo 3 campaign and put it with the Halo:ODST type storyline I think it should be a terrific game.

SvR 2011, Halo Reach, and Red Dead Redemption are all games I'm waiting for. Rockstar hasn't been impressing me a lot lately but the stuff I've seen in the Red Dead game looks awesome and will be a great sequel to the series.

Halo Reach, it's obviously going to blow Cock of Duty out of the water. I mean let's face it, Halo is the king pin of XBL Multiplayer and with the mute button on little kiddies, it makes it a lot easier to concentrate.

As for SvR 2011, I think we're in store for a real big update this year and I can't wait to see what it is. Smackdown games always have replay value with me and they are just fun to play on your PSP or DS for long car trips.

I have to admit I'm not really anticipating any games right now, except mabye Fable 3, absolutely loved the sequels to those.

But I must admit, while it has already been released, it was something I really.. and I mean REALLY anticipated, and that was Mass Effect 2, released early in 2010, but if you ask me, it's gonna be a tough one to top for me to anticipate, not even Dragon Age - Awakening surpassed my anticipation for Mass Effect 2 (and yes I was looking forward to Awakening pretty hard)

So Mass Effect 2 is gonna be my choice.

Easily, Marvel VS Capcom 3. Now they're saying it's comin' out at the end of 010 or 011, so this is a 50/50 shot on the point of the thread. Anybody who's enjoyed any of the Capcom VS Games, knows how exciting this is. First off, the game's gonna be in the vein of SFIV; which is badass. AND they have confirmed... Dante from Devil May Cry is going to be in it, as well as the greatest Marvel Comic Book Character ever Created; Deadpool. Other then that, not too much else is known about the game; but I for one am extremely excited for it.

Others are naturally, the new Zelda game [I mean obviously.], Dead Rising 2, Max Payne 3, and Metroid: Other M.

someone mentioned red dead redemption it looks sweet as fuck ive never played the first one but from what i hear its likke grand theft auto but a western correct? and im also a ps3 guy so halo is out of the question for me (not to mention when i play it at a friends house i suck ass) the football ames from EA are going to be amazing as always this year as well

For me it's the God Of War Collection (I never played it on PS2, shocking I know) the graphics are great, trophies have been added and it's my favourite genre of game, plus I love Greek Mythology. I'm also anticipating Prince Of Persia: The Forgotton Sands, I always wanted to know what happened inbetween Sands Of Time and Warrior Within and I'll finally be able to find out.

Instead of going with the obvious ones, I'm going to choose a game I heard about earlier today and can say I honestly MTFO'd about.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3

I LOVED the MvC series. I want to play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom badly, and MvC2 is one of my top fighting games I've ever played. MvC3 is going to be in 3D with 2D environments, and it already is looking awesome.

MvC3 looks to be bringing back the simple yet crazy fun gameplay of the series, and put it on HD consoles. I can't wait.

I hope they have all the characters from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (As I was really good with Tron Bonne, and the Mega Man Legends series needs more love), and I hope each character gets their own ending. I've heard Dante and Deadpool are confirmed already, which is just fucking awesome.

By far, I am most looking forward to The Last Guardian, which shouldn't be too far from release. In case you don't know (or have simply forgotten), it is the next game from Team Ico, and features a young boy guiding and interacting with a bird/cat/monster-looking thing. The team's previous releases have been outstanding, and I expect no less from them this time. Apparently, they decided to make this type of game as sort of an expansion of the relationship between the protagonist and his horse in Shadow of the Colossus. From what I've seen, it looks like something to get really excited about. I just hope it comes out sooner than later.

For me it's a hopefully revamped svr or madden 11 i'm just praying my fave brett favre doesn't retire before or after the game comes out but all indications are looking good on the last account

I have a few games that I'm anticipating.

Super Mario Galaxy 2:
It's already out here in the States, but I need money to get it, and as such I am still anticipating it. IGN gave it a 10, which is only making me want it more. The added Yoshi elements look to be really good, and it looks like Luigi is more involved, which I like.

Madden NFL 11:
They have made such drastic changes this year, and it really looks to have made the game even better. They added the Greatest Play-By-Play man ever in Gus Johnson, changed the play-calling to make it realistic, and fixed both the running game and kicking game, 2 things that were lackluster in previous years.

and finally, I have no clue how no one mentioned this one

NBA JAM:
When Midway went under, EA picked up the NBA Jam rights, and it either flew under the radar for some reason. Well, NBA Jam is BACK (coming out for Wii sometime later this year), and they are doing a fantastic job with it so far. They brought in Mark Turmell, the creator of the original, to work with the game. They also brought back the original voice of NBA Jam Tim Kitzrow, who will deliver all the classic 1-liners, as well as some new ones (including some that are being decided by a fan-vote on the NBA Jam Facebook page). The preliminary rosters were decided by a fan voting on their website (obviously changes will be made for guys changing teams). Also, apparently there are supposedly going to be a crapload of unlockables and hidden stuff, just like in the past. They also have said that if you want to relive the glory days and play as your favorite team from the original game, you can do it.

I don't think I ever have been as anticipated for a video game as I am for NBA Jam. I am not a big basketball fan anymore, but I will be getting this game as soon as it comes out, and orgasming at the greatness of this game, which appears to be a perfect mix of old and new.

Quite easily L.A. Noire, This is rockstars first attempt in putting you in the shoes of a man of the law rather than a bounty hunter/Criminal. from the recent screens of the game it looks amazing, and hopefully will be.

It's definitely NHL 11. With the CHL making it's debut, I'm sure it'll be great fun.

I know this game is out, but I haven't played it yet so I'm gonna list it anyways, and that's Alan Wake. I don't have the money to buy it right now, but I can rent it. The only problem is, everytime I go somewhere to rent it, it's always gone.

I have a list =\

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword... I played my first Zelda game when I was 10, which was Ocarina of Time, and I've been hooked ever since. I am so excited.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - 10 years. 10 YEARS. Enough said.

Arkham Asylum 2
inFamous 2
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2
SvR 2011
Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Pokemon Black/White - Don't you dare laugh at me I know you're gonna play it too when no one's looking.

Some where down the line...

Final Fantasy versus 13

EA Sports MMA

I watched a glimpse of the E3 convention and seen bits of it there. Looks like an incredibly solid fighting game, far superior to UFC Undisputed 2010.

It has a great cast of MMA fighters that wasn't included in UFC's game, most notably Fedor.

The comic, arcade game-play looks WAY better than anything on Undisputed 2010. Looks like an easily controllable, fun mma game that is competition-friendly. Can't wait until this hits the shelves.

I've seen a myriad of other nice looking games that also incite me, however the most notable is probably this one.

i would have to medal of honor, i have always been a huge fan of that series, and now that it is coming out for ps3 and 360, look out call of duty.

the other of course madden 2011, nough said

Kingdom Hearts BBS on PSP
This game will be, IMO, one of the best by Square, with set ten years before KH1, this will offer a better, more in depth backstory. And it will have three new characters, Aqua, Ventus and Terra, I cant wait to buy this game.
FIFA 11
Generally, I just buy every FIFA game, they are iredibly enjoyable so I really cant wait to get this game
Smackdown vs Raw 2011
see FIFA 11
Theyare my most anticipated games

Fallout: New Vegas: I'm really excited for this game. From playing poker, which I love in real life, to traveling the Vegas strip looking for Super Mutants. I loved Fallout 3 and I'm looking forward to exploring the Fallout world on the west coast

i can name a few

Fable 3, cant wait to get this game
Fifa 11, i get all fifa games and the game looks much better
svr 2011, the new interactive weapons system looks awesome
assasins (spelling?) creed brotherhood- online mode, what more can be said
star wars force unleashed 2, great first game, cant wait for the sequel and return of starkiller
Call of Duty black ops, what more can be said

For me it would be Assassin's Creed Brotherhood which will blow the other AC games out the water it just looks very very good and entertaining, also SvR 2011 that will be second choice.

Smackdown Vs. RAW 2011: The game looks pretty fucking neat. The game is based around the new physics system and weapons system which is pretty cool looking. Hopefully we get a good roster and a decent control system.

Fallout: New Vegas: This game looks awesome. It has given a few new features such as group perks. The music being Frank Sinatra is awesome. The graphics look great and looks pretty enjoyable just like it's predecessor.

Assassins Creed: Brotherhood: It looks fricking awesome. It is gonna blow all the other Assassins Creed games out of the water and like 2 become better than it's predecessor.

Does anyone know if the next Silent Hill Game is out in 2010? If so that is also one as i love the Silent Hill franchise.

Good Topic. This is a good year for games with the next looking to be every bit as good or better, especially with the XBOX 360 Kinect now out, it will be interesting to see what else comes out for it in the next year. That is then and this is now though, so on to the list.

Mafia II - I am not a shooter/Action Adventure fan but I love a good story and the original was amazing, a mix of Goodfellas and The Godfather or something. I can only imagine the way this next game will be and how much ass it will kick. I never had a real problem with the controls or anything else with this game either which makes me hopeful for the sequel. I have been wanting this one since the first came out, it has been to long, but behold the moment is upon us.

Test Drive Unlimited II - I thought the first one looked pretty good and played pretty well, pretty standard for a racing game. I am a huge racing game buff so any time any of the long standing franchises releases a new game I am all for it. Test Drive was great on the PSX, XBOX/PS2, 360/PS3, and I look forward to this game carrying on the proud lineage of the franchise with dignity and grace.

NBA2K11 - This game promises to be the best basketball game in a looooong time. Part of the celebration of this revolution is the fact that they have put none other than "Hir Airness" Michael Jordan on the cover, and not only that, Michael Jordan WILL BE IN THE GAME TO USE AS WELL. I am totally psyched to be able to use Air Jordan is a decent basketball game that doesn't resemble a playable cartoon like the NBA Street.

Madden 2011 - Just because it is the next Madden game, and I want to play with a more current roster this is a game I am actually waiting for. Madden has a tendency to be inconsistent in the quality of their games year to year as some things change while others stay the same which at times has been both good and bad in the past.

SVR 2011 - I am torn on this one but still anticipating it quite heavily. I'm just not sure it's really going to be worth getting, if they are going to really do anything with it that will REALLY separate it from the previous volumes, or if it's just going to be a reproduction of the last 2 with a new roster. Nonetheless I am anticipating this game and I hope they surprise me.

NOW FOR THE GRAND FINALE

My Most Anticipated Game of the Year.

NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT

I don't know if any of you saw the E3 trailer for this one but your going to now as I have posted it just below. What I've got right here's going to turn your brain into shit!

I don't think it's been any secret that the last few Need For Speed games have been lackluster and there really hasn't been a Need For Speed that really caught the essence of the franchise since possible NFS:Carbon or Most Wanted. Pro Street was crap, Shift wasn't much better, Undercover wasn't really that good, and if you have been a Need For Speed Crack Addict like myself since the first game, than like me you too had probably begun to lose all faith in EA and the Need For Speed franchise. In recent years it's been all about Forza, the long awaited GT5, and that's about all there's been. Thank God EA finally decided it's time to take back their rightful throne with Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. It is time my friends to feel the Need For Speed once again.
