Morrison vs Sheamus thoughts

I agree with everyone that match was amazing, I would love to see a John Morrison Sheamus programme in the future. The match on raw could be exactly what Morrison needs to get to the next level. However this is not always the case I thought Evan Bourne was having a series of good matches over the past few months, But the WWE are now continuing to use him as a Jobber. Hopefully it wont be the same with Morrison. Raw is over pakced with too much talent at the minute

Just wanted to mention a few things:

Morrison's entrance before the entrance (those push ups, close up, parkor thing) was ridiculous. Does he need to be acrobatic to be over? If he learned to talk and get a good ground game going then his push would be good. Hell, he was good as a heel and the ECW Champion.

The match was good, nothing special, nothing great. It was his PPV match. People say he is the next Shawn Michaels. I disagree. AJ Styles is. He has done eveything in TNA that HBK did in the WWE. Morrison is the next Test or D'Lo Brown

This match was amazing. I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect. And it was nice to just sit back and watch as a wrestling fan.

There was a believable chance that JoMo could've won, and that was probably the most vested part. Against Sheamus, the freaking WWE champ, John Morrison looked like a main eventer. He had intensity, hunger, drive, and charisma. While most of the match could be labeled as spots (his spinny flippy do off the stage, the Flying Chuck Kick from the stage, and the cross body off the set,) it was exciting, fast paced, and MEMORABLE. Due to the ending of the match, three things were accomplished. Sheamus looked strong and won in heel fashion. John Morrison showed how much he wanted a main event spot. And Chris Jericho again proved that he is the best in the world at what he does.

This helped set up Jericho getting back in the title picture, and while I don't think he will win the belt, I see a feud with him and John Morrison similar to the Kofi/Orton feud from last year. It also planted the seeds of a John Morrison push. With a win over Jericho the week before and an impressive showing against Sheamus Monday, it looks like they are going to pull the trigger on JoMo. Finally, as IC25 said in his editorial, it showed us that the WWE is investing proper time in its future. This match could be the starting point from which JoMo and Sheamus base their feud for the next five years. History people, it's what writes invested storylines.

A lot of people are talking about how great, JoMo looked, but I don't see any mention of how good Sheamus looked. Putting someone over is part of the performance also. By default, if Morrison looked great, then so did Sheamus.

Just want to make sure that selling as an art form gets respect too, lol.

morrison still hasnt won me over.. his match was great, reminded me of the good old wwe days when he came flying off the titan tron.. but something about morrison that i just dont like i think it might be his gimmick, his clothing and his music and entrance he needs a change.. he needs more attitude and for the love of god needs to stop dressing like a GAY RIC FLAIR

Because of this match, i wouldn't be shocked if Morrison gets a title shot at HITC against Sheamus, assuming Sheamus wins at Night of Champions. Morrison would be able to take bumps or hit some spots that would be exciting at HITC especially if UnderTaker / Kane will be the last match of the card (their 13th year anniversary). This will give Orton and Cena something else to do. This will allow Morrison to pull a Jeff Hardy 2008 circa by doing stunts. This will allow Sheamus to win and retain the belt once more.

This match was a real career changer for Morrison. It seems like as the weeks go by, hes in there with another main eventer. Morrison looked great in this matchup as did Sheamus, but dare I say Morrison stole the show. Even Chris Jericho said(In an interview about a day after he attacked JOMO) that the future of the company lye in Morrison and Sheamus's hands.

Was I surprised? No, because when doesn't Morrison look great in a match? He proved that he could go with just about anyone, big dogs and jobbers alike. I hope this signifies a push and I think a feud with Jericho is in the works, which could finally elevate Morrison to where he needs to be, which is in the Main Event.

This match was excellent. I really enjoyed it. It was definitely PPV quality. I think the fact that Morrison has been getting a lot of exposure as of late has to be a good sign for him and he might get his main event push, while Sheamus still looked good in this match. JoMo seems to be trying a lot more, I haven't seen this kind of effort from him in a long time. JoMo has always been a favorite of mine so I'm a little bummed out that he didn't pick up the win, but he couldn't have looked any better. He's getting a much bigger connection with the crowd and he's also getting way better in ring. He's made huge improvements as of late, I can't believe how impressed I've been. Now, I think that this match was a result of both guys working their asses off so kudos to both gentleman.

Damn was this an awesome perfomance by Morrison. Not only did he prove he should be pushed against the top dogs but he also proved he should be in WWE's next movie. The guy has the movie star looks and the moves as shown in this match & before the match with his Parkour training, to be in an action move or maybe a martial-arts movie with RVD someday. He reminds me of The Crow, my opinion though.
