More TNA Bullshit

Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
There's another AJ vs. Angle TItle match tonight after Genesis was said to be his last shot of the year. Hogan "changed his mind."

Never mind that the main event of Genesis was billed as the last match of the year for the title between these two and now everyone that didn't pay for it get to see it for free. Another fuck you to the TNA fans.

In the LD, the TNA marks called it fine. Never mind also how WWE was crucified on here for running Orton vs. Cena again after the billed final match a few WEEKS later. This is four days later but since it's TNA, everything is fine.

Go ahead. Defend this latest double standard.

I see what you're saying about some TNA fans making hypocrites out of themselves, but how is it "bullshit" that the program continues, especially when you yourself have defended the likes of Orton/Cena and Orton/HHH continuing after countless 'blow off' matches? This is the same thing, yet you hate it. Well, that makes you no different than TNA fans hating Orton's programs with Cena and HHH. In fact, it's sort of worse since at least AJ and Angle put on consistently good matches, whereas 75% of those Orton/HHH & Orton/Cena matches were absolute shitfest (ESPECIALLY Orton vs. HHH).

How is it different/ When was Orton/HHH or Orton/Cena billed as the final title shot (Orton vs. Cena was apparently billed as the last title shot but their next match was non-title. Thank you FTS on that one)? This is just more of TNA getting money off their fans and then switching it up, which to be fair, WWE has indeed done in the past. Never said they hadn't done it in their history.

I didn't have a problem with the WWE doing it. And I don't see the problem here.

In fact, I think it's funny you seem upset that TNA is doing things to get money out of fans. Because, you know, that's their job.

Seems WCWish to me. Get all the money we can now, worry about what happens when the fans wise up and stop buying the PPVs later.

Sure think Mr. Biased, if you actually watched the show you would see why he was given another shot, it was because Styles cheated. Seriously, how the fuck do you not get that? Someone cheated so Hogan did the RIGHT thing and gave him a rematch.

Christ you just love to hate on anything involving Hogan in any shape or form.

I'm with X. AJ cheated, Hogan is punishing him. Replace Hogan with Cornette or McMahon and we wouldn't have this.

Or, KB, is this just you being a little picky like you admit to being in your PPV reviews?

No, you would still hear it.

Stick to the storylines. That would calm me down a lot. Don't jerk around the fans that actually pay to see it.

How are they not sticking to the storyline KB? AJ Styles got a dirty win over Kurt Angle, an unfair win because he cheated. This gives a perfect REASON to have the next match on Impact. Explain to me how this is jerking the fans around. Because they get to see two great wrestlers lock up three times instead of just twice? Yeah, I bet TNA fans are really pissed about that.

Genesis. The PPV had a very limited build. I don't think anyone would argue that. The one draw on it would have been AJ vs. Angle and it's Angle's LAST shot this year. Nothing was said about last unless so and so happens. They said last, period. My issue is that this is the third issue of false advertising TNA did at that show. Hall didn't wrestle because he didn't look right in tights. (To be fair though, that's somewhat outside of TNA's control, but they couldn't have had him in a t-shirt or something?). Lashley didn't wrestle. There is no reason for that at all. Yes, Anderson is indeed the bigger deal, but if that's the case, why make Abyss vs. Lashley at all? With Lashley they're trying to hook the MMA crowd right? Why would a crowd that might have been persuaded to buy the show because of Lashley want to see Anderson instead? Third, people bought the show to see AJ vs. Angle potentially for the last time. That's I believe 35 dollars that they paid to see the show and three of the eight matches, all of which were the biggest on the card. I mean seriously, something tells me that Morely vs. Daniels and ODB vs. Tara didn't sell a lot of shows.

So from the perspective of a fan that bought the show and saw Angle lose, how do you think they reacted when they heard that the match they just paid to see is going to be shown for free on television, despite them saying it was the LAST time this year it would happen for the title? If I'm a person that buys TNA PPVs, why should I buy another one if I might just get to see the main event, which is the biggest draw of the night in theory, for free four days later?

That's my issue.

There's your first problem, thinking people actually cared that this was Angle's "last shot". Especially since Hogan worded it as his "Last shot at AJ STYLE'S title in 2010", which basically told the fans that when AJ loses the belt Angle will get back involved most likely. Seeing as how his contract is nearing it's end, it makes perfect sense for them to want a reason to take Angle off TV for awhile, and this is how they're doing it, by having it appear that he was screwed in more than one match and that Hogan may be involved in it.

Nothing was said about last unless so and so happens. They said last, period. My issue is that this is the third issue of false advertising TNA did at that show.

Oh my god, false advertising in wrestling?!?! Say it isn't so!

Yeah, every wrestling promotion on the face of the PLANET has falsely advertised things KB, the WWE does it constantly with their television matches that are supposed to happen and then never do. They've done it on PPV several times as well.

Hall didn't wrestle because he didn't look right in tights. (To be fair though, that's somewhat outside of TNA's control, but they couldn't have had him in a t-shirt or something?).

This has what to do with AJ Styles and Kurt Angle?

Lashley didn't wrestle.

Because he has an upcoming MMA fight to train for, he's going to be on TV alot less now.

There is no reason for that at all.

Again, what does Lashley and Hall have to do with the topic of AJ Styles and Kurt Angle? Oh, right, absolutely nothing. But there are very valid reasons for not having Hall and Lashley wrestle, one because Hall is fucking abysmal in the ring these days and is a junkie joke of a man, and Lashley isn't going to be wrestling much because he has a big MMA fight to train for.

Yes, Anderson is indeed the bigger deal, but if that's the case, why make Abyss vs. Lashley at all? With Lashley they're trying to hook the MMA crowd right?

No, not at all. The guy has been in like three fights. They brought Lashley in because of his wrestling background and his time in the WWE, not for his three fights that nobody saw in the sport of MMA.

Why would a crowd that might have been persuaded to buy the show because of Lashley want to see Anderson instead?

Who the fuck is going to buy that show for Lashley KB? No one. And again, this has WHAT to do with Styles and Angle?

Third, people bought the show to see AJ vs. Angle potentially for the last time.

No, they bought it to see AJ and Angle wrestle. I guarantee you no one bought it because they thought this was legitimately the LAST time Angle and Styles would ever wrestle. But again, with Angle's contract coming close to expiring, what they're doing right now makes perfect sense, you just refuse to acknowledge that.

That's I believe 35 dollars that they paid to see the show and three of the eight matches, all of which were the biggest on the card. I mean seriously, something tells me that Morely vs. Daniels and ODB vs. Tara didn't sell a lot of shows.

What's your point here? More bitching about Genesis? Yeah, it wasn't a great PPV, what's your point here?

So from the perspective of a fan that bought the show and saw Angle lose, how do you think they reacted when they heard that the match they just paid to see is going to be shown for free on television

Right, because obviously it was the exact same match KB right? No. Not at all. Their Impact match was like a grand total of 10 minutes, including commercial breaks. Versus a near FORTY MINUTE match at Genesis. How the fuck is that "the same match"? Seriously? So if Shawn Michaels just beat Bret Hart with a rollup in say five seconds on the Raw after Wrestlemania 12, that would be the same match they had the night before, the 60 minute one?

Do you think TNA fans don't like good wrestling or something? You think anyone was pissed that they were getting to see Styles vs Angle in the main event? You're picking apart shit that absolutely NO ONE besides yourself cares about. The fans don't give a fuck if a match was falsely advertised, what is your point here?

despite them saying it was the LAST time this year it would happen for the title? If I'm a person that buys TNA PPVs, why should I buy another one if I might just get to see the main event, which is the biggest draw of the night in theory, for free four days later?

That's my issue.

Again, you seem to think a match that was roughly ten minutes long and was clipped on television is the same thing as a near 40 minute PPV main event.

You've gone past smarkdom at this point KB. Now you're just looking for something to criticize in everything.

Oh my GOODNESS, are you STILL bitching about this? Dude. Its happened many, many times. He cheated, The GM gave the challenger another chance. For someone who has watched so much wrestling, you are making yourself look extremely petty and biased with all this. This has happened TONS of times, and I know you know that.

No argument, as I know it's for AJ's title only. Again, he got another title shot though, so the final part was bullshit wasn't it?

Yeah, every wrestling promotion on the face of the PLANET has falsely advertised things KB, the WWE does it constantly with their television matches that are supposed to happen and then never do. They've done it on PPV several times as well.

TV means nothing, as it costs nothing to see. And 3 times at one show? Think that MIGHT be a bit much?

This has what to do with AJ Styles and Kurt Angle?

*points to thread title* TNA bullshit remember.

Because he has an upcoming MMA fight to train for, he's going to be on TV alot less now.

So since TNA obviously knew this, they just had to mention his name on television as wrestling at the show right? No bait and switch there AT ALL. Nope, not TNA.

Then don't make them two of the three big reasons to buy the show and then just cancel on it. That's nothing more than jerking the fans around and that's flat out bullshit.

Who the fuck is going to buy that show for Lashley KB? No one. And again, this has WHAT to do with Styles and Angle?

Maybe the MMA fans they're clearly trying to bring in?

No, they bought it to see AJ and Angle wrestle. I guarantee you no one bought it because they thought this was legitimately the LAST time Angle and Styles would ever wrestle. But again, with Angle's contract coming close to expiring, what they're doing right now makes perfect sense, you just refuse to acknowledge that.

Then TNA fans are nothing but blind sheep and fucking morons. It was the only reason to buy the show because instead of focusing on the build for this, the show that brings in MONEY, we had to give Hogan and Bischoff 5 interviews each and the Nasty Boys 3 right? Screw this money idea. Old people need to be on TV!

Right, because obviously it was the exact same match KB right? No. Not at all. Their Impact match was like a grand total of 10 minutes, including commercial breaks. Sure they like good wrestling. And once TNA gets caught with this idiocy, they'll be able to watch what's called good wrestling in WWE since TNA will be out of business in 3 years.

You've gone past smarkdom at this point KB. Now you're just looking for something to criticize in everything.

You and FTS crack me up to no end. You would defend this company if it was just Hogan and Bischoff doing Who's On First for 2 hours.

Yep. Bullshit then and bullshit now.

I literally just said in my last post that Genesis was a shitty PPV. And I'm the one who's blindly sticking up for TNA in everything they do? Read Norcal's post, because he summed it up best.

Why is it bullshit? If I had paid that 35$ I wouldve been pissed at AJ for cheating, and then excited the next night when he was gonna get his justice. Thats, uh, the way it works, always has. Its not bullshit, not nearly. End of.

Oh no it's Hogan Norcal. Didn't you know Hogan secretly wants to rule the world and crush all logical booking and wrestling that stands before him?

Dude KB you're being worked hardcore by Hogan/Bischoff/Russo, and it's making me LOL.

I wouldn't even have said Genesis sucked. It was actually ok. Just don't like the smoke and mirrors booking with very little meat to it. It would help if they stopped trying to force every single thing in there.

I believe WCW used these tactics. You can hear all about it on the WWE produced DVD since they're not in business anymore.

It just strikes me as odd that out of the group of guys we have here who know their shit, KB is the ONLY ONE who has the slightest problem with this, and yet, he doesnt find that a bit off.

:lmao:

what the hell are you even talking about here? Little pesky good looking heel champion is cheating his way barely out of every title defense, and the kindly old GM is trying to make things right. Its about as meat and potatoes as it gets man :lmao:
