Favre is overrated.

Lions beat the Redskins. Two futile franchises.

It's going to be annoying listening to everyone singing Favre's praises for one drive that was so epic apparently despite him failing completely on the previous series. But he's better than Jesus apparently so it's cool.
How did he completely fail? I didn't see the game, but it looks like he moved the chains once, made a penalty, completed a 9 yard pass, and threw two incompletions.

Are two incompletions "complete failure" now?

I find it amusing how blind and nonsensical the Favre hate is. Why? Because he wants to play football. How awful.

That's what happened, but it was more about the way he looked. He looked lost out there on that series and like he was once again just trying to be the hero on his own. The winning series he was fine on, but the one before that was just flat out awful.

I suppose the same way you seem to expected Favre to win with pathetic teams, and a torn bicep muscle?

If Favre is hurt to the point where his prefomance is going to hinder his team in any way than perhaps the selfish bastard so sit his injured ass on the bench, thing is Favre is so obsessed with keeping his fucking streak alive that he refuses to do what's better for the team any chooses to do what he feels benefits him most, and I didn't expect Favre to win with "pathetic" teams I did however expect him to play smart in OT of the NFC championship game, all he had to do was throw sort safe passes to get his team in FG range and then let the kicker win the game, instead of making a horriable throw that ended up not only costing GB the game but their season as well

So...in one series out of, what, 10 or 15, YOU thought he looked uncomfortable?

Yeah, that makes sense. Clearly people should be focusing more on that then his 24/46 for 306 yards and 2 TDs, including the game winner. Why focus on a game winning drive, when you thought he looked lost on one drive?

How DARE Favre get credit for his play today when you thought he looked lost!

Favre's back up was Kellen Clemens last year. Favre with one arm > Kellen Clemens.

Yes and I watched them completely fall apart in the playoffs, funny how you left that game out, seeing as how it was not only the biggest game of the season for them but also the worst game they played all fucking year
:lmao: This is so funny! First you say they choke around week 10 and then when I prove you wrong you focus on the playoff game and ignore your incorrect statement. And if you think a 26 to 14 loss is the worst game they played all year when they lost by 13 to the Titans, I would say they played just as bad if not worse that game. I have a feeling you only watch Packer games. Their poor QB was the only reason they didn't do better last year.

Could say the same about Brady....

Funny, but I always thought it was the coach of the team who decided who played and when.

I didn't realize things changed. Apparently any one who wants to play can, right? That's silly. Mangini knew he was hurt, and still thought playing Favre was better than playing Kellen Clemens...not that I blame him.

thing is Favre is so obsessed with keeping his fucking streak alive that he refuses to do what's better for the team any chooses to do what he feels benefits him most
Again, the COACH decides who plays, not the player. And again, I'd take Favre with a torn bicep over Clemens.

You DO realize that Favre doesn't call the plays right? You do realize that the Packers had run 14 times in the game for a grand total of 28 yards, right? Which means that the Giants D-Line was peeling their ears back, and the defense was committing totally to the pass, correct?

Favre didn't HAVE a short receiver, except for his running back who was still behind the line of scrimmage. He was throwing to his best WR, and on a day where the HIGH temperature was 5 degrees Fahrenheit, he just under threw the ball. It happens.

That's not a choke, that's running the play your offensive coordinator called, and under throwing it on an incredibly cold day. Perhaps a little objectivity and reason would be nice.

I said on one series he looked lost, never the whole game.
What you said was that you thought it was silly that people would praise Favre for his performance on the last drive, when in one drive out of 10-15, you thought he looked lost.

As if giving praise to Favre for his comeback was terrible, because on one series he didn't look good.

Could say the same about Brady....
I haven't said anything about Brady...not even sure what you are talking about really.

I don't have a problem with the last drive getting talked about. I just want them to say how bad he looked just before that instead of the showering of praise that he gets. He's built up to be this divine being that graces us with his presence. That was the case about 13 years ago. Now he's barely above average.

What about Brady DIAR? You getting your daily fill of haterade?

Lions won. About damn time. I was actually rooting for them to win. I feel bad for the Redskins for being the team to lose to them.

I was pointing out that there where times when Brady looked lost or put up a bad series, but that didn't discredit anything else he did and nobody attacks him for it either. Seems Favre and Brady are judged on 2 different levels. Bias.

What the fuck? You're wanting them to specifically talk negatively about Favre, in a way they wouldn't talk about ANYONE else, just because he made a game winning drive? That's stupid. I don't say that often when you post, but that's just stupid. They, whoever "they" are, wouldn't talk about the previous series for ANY quarterback in the league...why should they for Favre?

Besides the fact you have a nonsensical hatred for him.

He's built up to be this divine being that graces us with his presence.
By who? I listen to ESPN radio all the time, and he gets routinely bashed on there. I've seen shows on ESPN where he gets bashed, and he was supposedly even getting bashed by his teammates behind his back, with the whole "schism" comment.

Who exactly is building him up? Or do you just like to follow the popular opinion without thinking for yourself?

That was the case about 13 years ago. Now he's barely above average.
He's 3-0, seemed to play a hell of a game today, and is quarterbacking a team many feel is Super Bowl ready.

What more can you want from him?

For fuck sake the fact that I have to point this out clearly shows what kind of fucking ****** you really are, I said that's when they usually start to choke, usually doesn't mean always, so last season they were decent the last few games, clearly that means they're going to the SB this year:rolleyes:

and I live on the right next to MN, all I get are Viking games so I tend to see them play more than I do the Packers

Gotcha. It's not just Brady either. It's every QB in the league. But apparently we should hold Favre to a different standard.

Damn i never thought I'd have to explain thigns like this to you Sly, but to be fair you did say you didn't see the game.

The ending went like this: Vikings had a bad drive, SF can't run the clock out and a minute later, Favre gets another chance and plays great. That all happened in about three minutes, and there was an odd penalty that took away a touchdown on the next to last drive. It's certainly something that will make the highlight shows. My issue is simple: I want it balanced out. I don't want it ignored that a fairly decent Favre's home fans were booing him for how bad he was playing late in the 4th. As long as that's at least mentioned along with the great (and it was great) drive, I'm all well and good.

And yes, I do have a nonsensical hatred of him. That's part of being a fan. You have nonsensical likes and dislikes of teams and players. There's no reason for me to like the Cowboys but I do. There's no reason for me to dislike Favre but I do. It comes with the territory.

Favre has never been as good as Brady has been. Ever. Favre never put up the kind of numbers Brady did in 2007.

And what do you mean bias? That's a load of horseshit, all week long all over ESPN 24/7 they've been saying "The Pats are dead, Brady isn't as good as he used to be, he's overrated, blah blah blah", I've had to listen to that BS all week long. People can't wait to criticize Brady and the Pats. Guess it's all of that success.

Are you done making an ass out of yourself? Good. Grow up ok and stop flipping out on people. Pay attention, they played good the last 9 games that is not a few buddy. The fact you took a damn joke about the Bengals and Vikes being in the SB seriously says alot about you. I was never serious about that and you are the only one who took it that way. What you did was claim they choke with no proof, I gave you some and you ignored it. Does a 5 -3 record after week 10 in 2007 count? A few bad games but did ok. Not that any of that should count, things change year by year.

What planet are you living on? Everywhere I go people praise Brady as a god, fans are harder on Favre then Brady as they hate Favre. Except in that SB a few years back when you would swear the Giants where 18-0 and the Pats weren't even there. WTF was that all about ESPN?
