This week's ECW on SciFi earned a 1.6 cable rating. That is down from last week's 1.7 number with Steve Austin's appearance being hyped.

The ratings are in for MTV's Wrestling Society X marathon from this past Tuesday. The first show scored a 0.6 cable rating. The second, third and fourth shows earned a 0.4 while the fifth show earned a 0.3.

The series finale is set to air next week on MTV.

Batista's official website (www.davebatista.com) was hacked sometime yesterday. The home page had big white letters that said Turkish hackers were there. There was also a big poem posted about Armenians and it said "Peace at home, peace in the world." Anyways, the site is fine now as everything has since been restored.

Candice Michelle appeared on the Monday Night Mayhem audio wrestling show last night (audio can be found on AudioWrestling.com) and confirmed that she had a MySpace page. She said that fans would often come to her in between shows and tell her that they talked to her on MySpace. Candice would then say that she didn't have a MySpace page and that these "Candice's" were people pretending to be her. She also said that she's home only two days a week and she can't reply to everyone via e-mail on her official website. She still wants to communicate with her fans and thus she plans on posting blogs on her MySpace page in the future. Her official MySpace page is located at
myspace.com/reallycandicemichelle. It is produced by the people behind her official website CandiceMichelle.com, which was recently relaunched.

A DX vs. Rated RKO match is not scheduled to take place at SummerSlam. The reason for this is that Vince McMahon doesn't know what he can with the team to keep them hot until SummerSlam. As things stand now, an Edge vs. Randy Orton feud is scheduled to take place well before SummerSlam. No word yet on who will be the babyface and who will be the heel in the program.

On the otherhand, when Triple H comes back, which should be at SummerSlam, he wants to have a natural feud. Which is why he wants to continue his feud with Rated RKO. However, Edge is politicking to not work against Triple H when he recovers.

Rick Walters sent this in: On March 30, The Fox Theatre, where the Hall Of Fame ceremony is to take place, will host a premiere of Stone Cold Steve Austin's movie "The Condemned." At this time it is unknown if tickets will be made available to the public. More information will be released later in the week. The film is set for nationwide release on April 27.

John Woodworth sent this in: There is an article about Trump vs. McMahon over a SI.com. It mentions everything from Stone Cold being the guest referee to Rosie O'Donnell.

There is a new "Superstar 2 Superstar" feature up on WWE.com with WWE's Ashley interviewing Playboy's Hugh Hefner.

An interview with Donald Trump is up at WWE.com.

Edge talks about his appearance on MadTV that will air this Saturday night on FOX at WWE.com as well.

WWE Films' "The Marine" starring John Cena came in at #13 last week on the DVD rental charts, doing $2.1 million in sales. The movie has now grossed over $24 million in rentals to date, which is more than five million dollars better than the movie did while in theaters.

Billboard's Top 10 listing for "Recreational Sports" DVD sales have now been released. WWE was actually knocked from its #1 spot this week courtesy of the Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl DVD. WWE came in at #2 with the new DX DVD, #3 with Royal Rumble 2007, #7 with ECW: Extreme Rules, #8 with Armageddon 2006 and #9 with New Year's Revolution 2007. TNA held the #10 spot with Genesis 2006.

WWE.com has updated their "Where Are They Now" section featuring a new update with Luna Vachon. Past updates include Brutus Beefcake, Smash, Kevin Sullivan, Greg Valentine and many others.

In a recent blog entry by Jim Ross over on his official website (jrsbarbq.com), Ross talked about the recent edition of "Cold Pizza" on ESPN that covered the current "Battle of the Billionaires" storyline between Donald Trump and Vince McMahon and was not very pleased with what he saw. Ross also talked about The Rock's appearance on Raw this past Monday, if current TNA star and NWA World Champion Christian Cage would ever return to WWE and more. Here are some highlights:

On the Trump/McMahon coverage on ESPN:
"I saw the Cold Pizza show on ESPN, which I watch most mornings, and their coverage of the Battle of the Billionaires was done, as usual, tongue-in-cheek, so as to make sure their audience of “hard core” sports fans will not mistake the on air personalities as being “wrestling fans”. Of course, the ESPN on-air personalities are opinionated, speak in sound bytes, attempt to have the most controversial statement on a given show and that is o.k. for their hip, edgy programming. For the record that’s what wrestling personalities have been doing for decades and long before cable. But wrestling is show biz and ESPN are legit sports or so they want you to believe. They are entertainment, perhaps in their own way “sports/entertainment” because if their cute repartee isn’t entertaining, the hosts are gone. Days of straight forward sports casting are dead and buried. I can assure you from personal experience that many of the ESPN staffers are HUGE WWE fans and, in confidence of course, several of the ESPN on air “stars” are all fully aware of the WWE and the WWE’s global success because they all live and die with the ratings and the Monday Night Raw cable ratings by and large kick any thing ESPN does with the exception of an occasional “Special” or a big time NFL game. I am a fan of ESPN and watch their programming a great deal, but if Monday Night Raw went into a ratings dumpster like many of the ESPN shows, i.e. SportsCenter, get on a regular basis there would be MAJOR changes to the look of Raw starting, perhaps, with yours truly. I would surmise that should come as no surprise to any one who has followed the product over the past few years. Being young and being perceived as “hip” is a fact of life in the TV business and the WWE is no different than any other producer of television. It’s just sad that some ESPN on air personalities are so fragile and these individuals are so insecure that they have to place tongue in cheek when making any reference to the WWE or the business in general unless it is a tragedy. Then it is o.k. to lay it on thick because bad news or scandals are what draw ratings. On an airplane I once sat next to the former head of ESPN, whose name escapes me, who left them to go to work with Daniel Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins, and he was one of the most conceited and arrogant individuals I can remember meeting. A non jock that probably got hell from his athletic friends as a kid and evolved into a first class jackass as an adult. This “I’m better than you” attitude is sad for any one to have. Of course I reminded him that Monday Night Raw on cable earned about 4 times the rating his beloved “SportsCenter” earns in multiple airings. He did not take that well. Tough. I hope he has gotten over it."

On The Rock's return to WWE TV on Monday:
"The Rock has no contract with the WWE as far as I know. I would expect to see “The Great One” again make an appearance on RAW in the future but that is only my opinion. I don’t hold out the same hope for Rock to wrestle again but I wouldn’t either if I were him. Making movies pays well and the chance of serious injuries is significantly lessened. I thought the Rock’s taped promo was one of the many highlights on Raw Monday night."

If Christian would ever return to WWE:
"Will Christian ever return to the WWE? Most likely as he did not burn any bridges when he left and he is a talented performer. I recruited Christian and have a great deal of respect for his passion and love of the business. Plus, he is a great guy. Never say never and I hope to call more of his WWE matches."

On which match will close WrestleMania 23:
"I don’t know who officially will close Wrestlemania 23 but if I were calling the shots, and I am not, I would suggest it be Undertaker vs. Batista."

Real-Life Tension Between Candice Michelle & Melina
03/15/2007 by Ryan Clark

Candice Michelle appeared on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show on 3/15 (audio can be found on AudioWrestling.com) and she had some things to say regarding fellow RAW Diva Melina Perez.

Candice and Melina had recently engaged in a "blog battle" on WWE.com. It all started last month when Candice accused Melina of stealing one of her trademark moves in a recent match. Candice called the Inverted STF maneuver the 'Candy Clutch' whereas Melina called it 'The California Dream'. In Melina's next blog, she started off by saying, "I read Candice's blog, and I have to say I laughed so hard! Now that I'm officially on top, the jealousy is going to come out of the woodwork at full speed." In response to Candice's accusations, Melina said that she had been using the move for several years on the indy circuit before she signed with WWE in late 2003. At the time, the move was called the Kyrapractor after her character Kyra, which was one of the names she used on the independent circuit. Melina even made it a point to have a photo of her performing the maneuver while on the indy circuit posted alongside the blog. Melina then went on a long rant on how hard it was for her to make into WWE. Melina then switched the focus back to Candice by saying, "Candice Michelle, what wrestling school have you gone to? How did you get your job here with WWE? Candice, do you actually think in that pathetic pea brain of yours that I want to be you? All you are known for is GoDaddy.com. Big whoop! That's all you got! I'm living my dream! I'm The Most Dominant Diva in wrestling, Manager of Champions and the Women's Champion! Yeah, as if I'd trade spots with you. I'm an athlete, what are you?"

Considering that the posts were made on WWE.com, one would think that things being said were to help build conflict for a future storyline between the two WWE Divas. However, Melina is currently occupied in a WrestleMania program with Ashley Massaro. Also, Melina and Candice have yet to have a match or altercation on television since the blogs were made. And to further prove that what was being said was not part of a storyline, Candice noted in her interview that WWE refused to post her last blog on the company's website in which she responds to Melina's rant on her. In the unpublished blog, Candice said that she responded to Melina by saying that she's not in WWE just to be on television, but because she actually wants to be a wrestler. In the interview, Candice also added, "I would not stay in the cheapest hotels like the Red Roof Hotel and, and, deal with her bullshit backstage if I just wanted to be on TV. I live in Hollywood. I've been in Hollywood. I've been in numerous movies, commercials, you name it. I'm there because I want to learn to wrestle."

Here is a transcript of what Candice said in regards to Melina:

Candice: But if you're more of you know, kind of the girl who's been doing a lot of modeling, um, or that kind of stuff, maybe the diva contest is better for you. But I mean the one thing that I always warn people about is you know, this is the hardest business to be a part of; To work your butt off for. It's not a beauty contest so don't come in thinking oh I'm going out for you know, Hawaiian Tropics contest and hopefully you know, I'll win this prize money and that's it. There's blood, there's sweat, there's tears. Um, it's actually funny because you know, Melina's been you know, doing these blogs that I've been blogging against her with on WWE.com and recently they wouldn't put up my new blog because of the fact of the WrestleMania and goes between her and Ashley. But she accused me of only being here, being one of the girls who you know, was in the contest, in this beauty contest and is just here to be on TV. And I just come back with the thing that my resume is longer than what she can read. And if I just wanted to be on TV, I would not fly coach. I would not rent my own car. I would not drive 200 miles Friday, Saturday, Sunday all the way to Monday Night RAW each day. I would not stay in the cheapest hotels like the Red Roof Hotel and, and, deal with her bullshit backstage if I just wanted to be on TV. I live in Hollywood. I've been in Hollywood. I've been in numerous movies, commercials, you name it. I'm there because I want to learn to wrestle. I wanna show the fans what I can do. I'm there because there is a purpose of what I can do. So if people want to get into this business just to be on TV, go to Hawaiian Tropics. If you're going to be here, you know, just come here and do it because you really want to wrestle and you really want to learn this sport because you're going to work your butt off once you get here.

Hosts: And that's a minute you're not gonna hear on Monday Night RAW! Now that sounded very serious. I mean back and forth, you know, whatever internet sites you go on you hear people saying, oh this has got to be part of the storyline, you know, blah, blah, blah, but that sounded very serious. It sounded very true to life shall we say.

Candice: It is very serious you know, and you know, you try to sound, sound seriousness, you know, to give something to the storyline and unfortunately, you know, WrestleMania is taking a different turn so maybe after WrestleMania, you know, the fans will be able to see what's going on or... thank goodness for MySpace and I'll be able to blog on there and you know, give my side of the story out, but you know, I'm not here just to be here and be a pretty face here because there's so much work to be here. I mean the stuff that you deal with, trying to learn how to wrestle when you've never been to wrestling school before. Getting my nose broken in the ring. Trust me, I don't get my nose broken in the movies. I don't really get slapped in the face in the movies. You know, all that other stuff. You know, so I'm really here because I want to be here and um, you know, I'm going to show the fans that I'm here and I'm learning, and I'm training and um, you know, one of these days I'll be a great champion for them.

Vince is attempting to get JBL back in the ring. JBL was forced to retire last year due to a broken vertebrae and a herniated disc in his lower back. JBL is set to undergo a new treatment, recently a new technique was developed, to treat herniated discs in the back area.

The new treatment will stretch his spine, allowing the discs to relax and sink back in to place. JBL had numbness in his legs and loss of bladder control.

The latest discussion backstage is that JBL has no interest in returning as a full-time wrestler but more as a part time, where he would wrestle once every couple months. It’s also being said that Vince is trying to play the “hopeful father” and manipulate JBL to return.

Jakks Pacific will be releasing punching bags of John Cena, Undertaker and Batista sometime later this year. Jakks are trying to sign Dynamite Kid to a Classic Wrestling Figures contract. Also, Jakks has signed a deal with stores FYE to carry exclusive WWE figures starting this Summer.

Matt Hardy, Maria, CM Punk, and Deuce & Domino with Cherry will be appearing at the Detroit News Battle of the Bands on March 31 at Detroit's State Theater.

Steve Austin was at Lionsgate's luncheon in Las Vegas and presented a clip from "The Condemned".

Former WWE World champion Rey Mysterio was interviewed by Daily News & Analysis in India while on his current promotional tour there. He noted the translation of his ring name is "King of Mystery." He also noted that he's been training in the ring since he was five years old, calling wrestling his only passion but noting that it was the hardest time of his life since his trainer and uncle Rey Mysterio Sr. didn't hold back on him. When asked if he'd want his son Dominick to become a wrestler, Rey said he'd love him to take up the sport.

The April 2007 issue of Blender Magazine states on the News Roundup on pg. 30: Rapper The Game has denounced professional wrestler the Game and the World Wrestling Federation, accusing them of ripping off his nickname. "He's on TV wrestling and it's pretend, made up," the rapper said. "I wrestle in real life, and I win."

The Score in Canada wants to show Raw on a tape delay basis to edit off any potentially offensive content.

Mick Foley's Hardcore Diaries is currently #12 on the Wall Street Journal Non-Fiction Best-Sellers list.

A quiet weekend for WWE, with only one Raw house show, while the Smackdown/ECW crew is off. Of course, the Smackdown/ECW crew will more than make up for it next weekend with a four-day tour of Mexico starting on Thursday.

As previously posted, WWE will be back at Madison Square Garden on August 13th for a “Raw” taping. This is a strange announcement because “SummerSlam” was originally to take place at Madison Square Garden on August 19th later that week but due to the high rental costs, they switched the show to the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It looks as though a resolution has been found between the WWE and MSG but they have already sold out the “SummerSlam” show in New Jersey.

In Canada, on Monday, March 26, Stars of the Game and the Can-Am Wrestling School present, "Jericho is Raw". Piper will also be in New York City on 6/23 for the Big Apple Comic Convention, signing autographs. Tony Atlas, Rocky Johnson, and Tank Abbott are also scheduled to appear.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was among those donating time earlier this month at Destination Fashion 2007, a fundraising gala benefiting The Buoniconti Fund at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis in Florida.

Jim Ross has posted up a new blog on his official website. In regards to a WWE-TNA rivalry, Ross said, "In all due respect to all involved, the good folks at TNA have a few miles to travel before they arrive on the same level as the WWE. The huge misconception here is this; the decision makers at TNA simply need to focus on improving their product and not worry about an imagined war with the WWE. That is largely what the WWE did during the Monday night wars which cannot be compared to an updated Monday night war with TNA, in my opinion. This is not a personal attack on TNA or anyone else but the simple fact is most businesses get better when they focus on what they are doing and not what the alleged competitors are up to."

In the latest edition of "Diva Dish" on WWE.com, Jillian Hall attempts to dispel the rumors that she's mocking Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke with her new bad singer gimmick. Jillian said that she's singing because she wants to and that it has nothing to do with Hogan's daughter. "I have no idea where people are getting this idea. The only things we have in common are blonde hair and we're both pop stars. There are a lot of blonde pop stars out there; it doesn't mean I'm trying to be her. I think people are saying this only because she's associated with wrestling, but her name has never come up when it comes to what I'm doing. I'm doing my own thing," Jillian said. The story originally started in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter a few weeks ago. After Hulk Hogan read off the list of candidates for this year's WWE Hall of Fame, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H wanted to get back at him because he infuriated Vince McMahon. So they devised this new gimmick for Jillian, which in their mind, is intended to be a spoof on Brooke Hogan. They had Jillian's hair styled after Brooke Hogan. She was also given accented contact lenses to make her eyes the same unusual blue color that Brooke's eyes are.

In a rather funny note, WWE's Shopzone website is promoting a "Triple H Easter Basket" just in time for the holiday.

Services for Arnold Skaaland will be held this Monday at the Sacred Heart Church - 10 Lawton Avenue, Hartsdale, NY at 11 AM. His viewing will be the day before, Sunday, from 1-4PM and 6-9PM, at the Ballard Burand Funeral Home - 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601.

It should also be noted that WSX wrestler contracts state that they will expire 90 days after the initial airing of the Season One series finale. If that episode doesn't end up airing, it will be very interesting to see where this will leave certain performers as it won't give them the option to seek work elsewhere legally should they get offers from WWE or TNA. We will continue to follow this situation as it develops.

WWE's website has added an interesting photo shoot with WWE Women's Champion Melina where she is completely nude and covered in nothing but body paint.

SmackDown! Diva Michelle McCool recently divorced her husband of several years, so she's back to being Michelle McCool as opposed to Michelle McCool-Alexander. The two were a couple since high school.

In other Michelle McCool-related news, last week on WWE.com she wrote a commentary about her illness late last year that had her hospitalized for two weeks. Michelle claimed 14 days, although WWE.com claimed four. She was doing an overseas tour and during a match with Kristal, her back started to hurt. It wasn't normal back pain, it was debilitating pain to the point where she could not stand or even speak. She kept telling people she was fine, but then would go to bed in tears. One night she was so dehydrated that they had to hook her up to an IV. She said she couldn't remember going through the airport when she got home, and that while she was in the hospital, friends and family weren't sure she was going to live. "For the first six to seven days of my 14-day stint in the hospital, I was completely out of it, hallucinating from the combination of my low sodium and medication." She concluded with this advice: "You never know when might be your last day. You have a choice each morning: You can be in a good mood or a bad mood. Count your blessings, cherish your loved ones and remember to smile! I love you all, and can’t wait to get back in the ring and make each and every one of you prouder than ever!"

In her post on WWE.com, Michelle never once said what the actual illness that she was suffering from was other than "dehydration". The reality is that Michelle had a really bad eating disorder and was taking a ton of diet pills to the point where either her kidneys and bladder shut down or were getting very close to shutting down. Despite the claim on WWE.com, and her own claim, it's been said that she was actually in the hospital for upwards of 20 days, so it was a very, very serious life or death situation.

In unrelated news, McCool is said to be a big favorite amongst some of the older guys in the company.

Also, Torrie Wilson is going through a divorce with her husband of many years, Billy Kidman. The two co-own a tanning salon in Florida as well which could complicate things. She also recently sold her gorgeous home that was featured on MTV's Cribs. As noted many times before here on the site, she is now dating former Spirit Squad member Mitch.

WWE's website is featuring a new interview up with the injured Triple H where he talks about the upcoming WrestleMania 23. Below are a few highlights fro the interview:

- Triple H says he will be at Ford Field among the 70,000 fans. Despite being off of RAW, Triple H says he keeps in regular contact with HBK.

- On Cena facing HBK: “This is going to be a very unique challenge for John,” said Triple H. “He’s never faced anyone like Shawn in a spot like this before. Having faced HBK at WrestleMania, I can tell you that he’s stronger than you expect, faster than you expect, and more resilient than you think. Cena is going to have his hands full.”

- On HBK's state of mind: “This is as motivated as I’ve ever seen Shawn,” said The Game. “The opportunity to wrestle for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania has been like a new shot of life for HBK. It’s great to see him feel this way, and be this passionate. This is what Shawn is all about.”

- On The Undertaker: “The Undertaker is a guy that you just can’t prepare for,” said The Game. “He never stops. He’ll keep coming at you until you have nothing left. There is a reason he is called the Phenom, and there’s a reason he’s never lost at WrestleMania.”

- On Batista's chances at ending 'Taker's streak: “He’s not in the position he’s in by accident,” said Triple H. “Batista is as strong and as tough as anyone in the WWE, and he has proven that time and time again. When he wrestled me, he was in the best shape of his career, and that will be a major factor this year. If he shows up in that kind of shape, he has a real shot to end the streak.”

The Rock’s surprise appearance this past Monday on RAW was put together by Brian Gerwitz.

Gerwitz and The Rock keep in contact on a regular basis. Brian asked the Rock if he would do the cameo and he agreed. The Rock’s cameo was completely unscripted.

Based on Nielsen Media Research's fast national numbers, last night's Friday Night Smackdown scored a 2.8 rating.

Candice started talking about a blog feud she has been having with Melina on a recent radio interview. Melina has been claiming Candice is only in WWE because of her looks. Candice said WWE.com pulled her latest blog because it shoots on Melina and WWE didn't want it to take away from the feud Melina has right now with Ashley. Candice then said her resume is longer than what Melina can read. Candice said she is in WWE because she wants to learn how to wrestle, not to be on TV and Melina puts her through a lot of "bullsh*t."

These titles include a new Shawn Michaels DVD, "The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect", a Batista DVD set, a DVD dedicated to the Hell in a Cell and a SummerSlam Anthology set. A Survivor Series Anthology set is expected to be released sometime in 2009.

Static sent this in: I know its been noted already that Hogan's profile has been pulled from WWE.com, but I dont know if anyone has said that also all the Hogan merchandise on Shopzone has also been reduced to "sale prices" like they always do with superstar's items that no longer work for them.

Last night's 3/16 edition of WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew a 2.8 fast national rating with a 5 share. This is up from last week's 2.7 early number. We hope to have the final number very soon.

Don Muraco will induct his former manager, Mr. Fuji, into the WWE hall of fame on 3/31. Fuji (real name Harry Fujiwara), 72, now works as a ticket taker at a Morristown, TN movie theater.
