Dan sent the following: I went to the East Rutherford, NJ house show on Thursday, and I have a couple of notes. First- the ladder match that was reported is in fact true. Hardy vs. Nitro vs. Carlito. Also, I found it weird that during the intermission, they played the Big Show's entrance theme.

- Jim Ross feels that Federline has a has a natural gift of being a wrestling antagonist and was professional to work with during the time in the WWE. Perhaps K-Fed’s next career will be reviving the wrestling manager’s role in the WWE much like Estrada has embarked upon.

- As of yet, it is not known who will be part of the announcing team for this year’s Royal Rumble.

- Do not be surprised if Bret Hart doesn’t take part in any festivities for the 10th anniversary of the Survivor Series screw job.

If you hear a rumor for a potential Batista vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi (New Japan) match floating around, you can attribute it to the Tokyo Sports newspaper. Apparently New Japan President Simon Inoki claimed an 'import gaijin' would show up at New Japan's 2/18 Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan show. Inoki meet with WWE officials in Stamford, CT last month in an attempt to exchange talent.

World Wrestling Entertainment sent a camera crew to Ocala, Florida this week to interview former NWA World Champion Dory Funk Jr. for a forthcoming DVD release regarding famous wrestling families. Footage was filmed of Dory Funk Jr.'s wrestling school and he also discussed some current wrestling stars that trained under him. PWInsider reports the DVD is scheduled for a June release.

Vince McMahon mentioned the Donald Trump/Rosie O'Donnell feud this past Monday on Raw for a reason. The plan right now is to have a "Battle of the Billionaires" angle leading into the Royal Rumble between Donald Trump and Vince McMahon. The angle would culminate with Vince managing a wrestler who would face a wrestler that Trump would be managing. This isn't a done deal as of yet as both parties are still negotiating.

Bobby Lashley has been named the 2006 wrestler of the year by BlackAthlete.net.

The Pepsi Arena, located in Albany, New York has changed it's name to the Times Union Center. The arena has housed many WWE shows in the past, including Ric Flair's Royal Rumble victory in 1992, and Kurt Angle's first WWE championship win against The Rock in 2000. We are based n Albany, NY and cover all wrestling events from the arena and the general Capital Region area.

Chris Cutrer sent the following: One of the extras on the Survivor Series 06 DVD is the main event from the first Survivor Series in 87 with Hulk Hogan/Bam Bam Bigelow/Don Muraco/Ken Patera/Paul Orndorff vs. Andre the Giant/One Man Gang/King Kong Bundy/Rick Rude/Butch Reed. During the match, Michael Cole (who handles commentary with JBL, replacing the original commentary) refers to the One Man Gang as "the late, great One Man Gang". Unless I missed something I'm sure that he is still among the living.

That is one hell of an error. Indeed, One Man Gang is alive and well, working as a prison security guard in the Southern United States. He's done several shoot interviews and convention appearances in recent years as well, so I am really surprised that error made it onto the DVD.

I think that's funny as fuck. They'll probably induct him into the H.O.F. this year because of it.

-- Yesterday it was reported that WWE diva Candice Michelle will be making her first public appearance since he nose surgery at an upcoming autograph session. This is not true as Michelle has already done several photo shoots and is scheduled to appear at the MGM Grand Resort/Casino's Studio 54 for their industry night launch "Influence" on Tuesday.

NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia is now engaged to Carmella DeCesare, Playboy's 2004 Playmate of the Year and WWE diva wannabe.

Orlando, FL is said to be the front-runner for Wrestlemania 24. WWE had been talking about holding the event in Las Vegas, NV, but those plans are off, reports Dave Meltzer.

Kevin Federline received praise backstage for his work ethic and positive attitude.

ECW head writer Dave Lagana is pushing for Chris Masters to go to ECW and get a big push but Raw head writer Brian Gerwitz wants to keep Masters on Raw.

WWE and Time Warner have worked out an agreement and there will be no lawsuit over the Mr. McMahon Kiss My Ass cartoons.

The Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that one of the reasons for Brad Armstrong being teamed with Joey Styles and Tazz recently on ECW is because the company is testing Armstrong's commentary ability should Tazz not comes to terms on a renewal with WWE.

As we noted earlier, Tazz's contract with WWE expires in March. Tazz denied being approached by the company about a renewal in an audio commentary recently on ECW.com and claimed any reports saying otherwise were false.

The Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that Rey Mysterio's contract with WWE is scheduled to expire in May or June of 2008.

When he returns to the company in mid-2007 following his knee surgery, the early word is that WWE management will start to press him to sign a new long-term renewal. Should Mysterio not agree to a new long-term deal, it is very possible that WWE could choose to "job him out" so to speak for a full year before TNA could step up with a deal.

Based on what is known at this time, TNA is very interested in signing Mysterio should he become available.

In the latest edition of WWE Magazine, JBL talked about his least favorite match. JBL said, "The worst thing I've ever been associated with, I was so embarrassed, I wanted to quit the business." JBL was referring to the infamous July 2002 match on RAW between Bradshaw & Trish Stratus vs. Christopher Nowinski & Jackie Gayda. In the match, Gayda botched several moves, and for the capper at the end of the match, Trish attempted to bulldog Gayda from the top rope, but she missed her and Gayda fell down anyways to be pinned. Jackie was subsequently sent down to OVW.

The debut of Booker T's PWA show on 12/21 in Pasadena, Texas drew 400 fans. The show featured Booker, Sharmell, Haas, Torrie Wilson, Mikey, Mitch, Conway, Dupree, Umaga and Benjamin. Torrie and Mitch are currently dating.

Donald Trump will be in L.A today taping an episode of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno so he will obviously not be at RAW. Look for a spoof of Donald vs. Rosie on RAW tonight. Neither will be there live.

Triple H will be flown to Birmingham for an appointment tomorrow with Dr. James Andrews today. The preliminary indication is that HHH tore his right quadriceps while executing a spinebuster in the DX vs. Team Rated RKO match at tonight's New Year's Revolution PPV in Kansas City. It is ironic that today is five years ago to the day of his televised return from a similar injury he had suffered on May 21, 2001, in San Jose.

As reported earlier, it is believed Triple H suffered another quadriceps tear after trying to execute a spinebuster on Randy Orton at the PPV last night. The severity of the injury is still unknown as of very early Monday morning. Triple H was slated to get an MRI last night in Kansas City and will be flying to Birmingham, Alabama today to be examined by Dr. James Andrews.

Photos of New Year's Revolution can be see at WWE.com.

WWE.com followed Kenny Dykstra around for the entire day leading up into New Years Revolution.

WWE.com has posted multiple backstage photos of Triple H and the medical attention he received following the World Tag Team Title Match at New Year's Revolution between Rated RKO and DX.

Trish Stratus was backstage at last night's SmackDown/ECW house show because the event happened to be in Muncie, Indiana (the first time in several years). Stratus is currently in Muncie filming her "Armed & Famous" reality series that will debut this Wednesday on CBS. Trish was simply visiting friends and there was no camera crew in tow.

WWE developmental tag team Deuce and Domino (and their valet Cherry) are on the road for this week's Smackdown/ECW swing. They appeared at last night's house show (defeating Jimmy Wang Yang and Funaki). Deuce is the adopted son of Jimmy Snuka. There has been talk of calling the 50's greasers team up to the main roster for about a year now, but they have yet to get over the hump and land on television.

Due to Triple H's knee injury, the finish of the DX-Rated RKO match at last night's New Year's Revolution PPV was changed on the fly during the match to a no contest finish.

Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart have filmed a commercial for Bud Light beer. The advertisement was taped in Tampa, Florida and may debut on national television during this year's Super Bowl.

World League Wrestling's Daniel Cross, Ace Steel, Ty Dalton and Mike DiBiase (son of Ted DiBiase) are booked for tonight's Raw and tomorrow's Smackdown/ECW tapings for tryouts/extra work. WLW is Harley Race's promotion out of Eldon, Missouri.

The recently released Amy Zidian finally broke her silence and posted the following blog on her MySpace page (myspace.com/amymariezidian). The page is legit, but set to private: Hi everyone, as we know I've been released from WWE. I still plan to train and do my best. With everything in life hard work pays off and nothing comes easy. I am a true believer in following your dreams. If they don't come true you can always know you tried. DO NOT LIVE WITH REGRET. I can live with the fact I'd always get back up and fall on my face as oppose to walking away. Believe in yourselves and your dreams.

A new wrestler by the name of George Murdoch debuted on the road at the 12/26 SmackDown house show in Hershey, PA. He is 6-8, 375 pounds and he hasn't even debuted on Deep South Wrestling's television show yet. He uses the name G. Rilla down in DSW and he is green to say the least. He started wrestling back in August. This was described as another Johnny Ace call to get him on to house shows due to the company's belief that they need to recruit physical freaks, and then teach them to be performers as opposed to recruiting performers. Murdoch was working as a bouncer at a night club in Los Angeles some time back. Tommy Dreamer saw him and told him that with his size, he should enroll in the UPW school for a few months and then send WWE a tape. Murdoch told Dreamer that he wasn't really interested, but Dreamer asked for his phone number anyways. Johnny Ace then called him and he was signed almost immediately. Murdoch is the 32nd person to be signed by the WWE that has either been trained or discovered by Rick Bassman's UPW promotion in California.

The decision to move the Great Khali from ECW to Raw was made in the last twenty-four hours, following Triple H's injury. The WWE felt it was necessary to fill the void that Triple H now leaves.

As it was reported here last week, the original plan for Khali was to challenge Lashley for the ECW World Title at WrestleMania. Khali is scheduled to make a final appearance on ECW tomorrow night, by wrestling Tommy Dreamer, which should conclude their feud.

The revamped Gene Snitsky is expected to debut for ECW soon, and may be the one who fills the role that Khali leaves behind. As for Daivari, it remains unknown whether or not he will stay with ECW. Daivari did not appear on Raw tonight, so that may be an indication that he is staying with ECW.

Changing gears, The Donald Trump impersonator was played by Ace Steel, who is a regular with Ring of Honor. The Rosie O'Donnell impersonator was played by the Virginia-area independent worker Kylie McLane.

Rosie O'Donnell, who co-hosts The View" on ABC, made no mention of the parody of her from Raw last night. As an added twist of irony, former WCW world champion David Arquette appeared on the show.

On a personal note, I attempted to watch "The View" myself this morning for the same reason, yet, I found myself changing channels only after two minutes. Any gentleman who can stomach an entire hour of that program is braver than I could ever hope to be.

As noted, Shawn Michaels promo on RAW two weeks ago where he referred to curtain jerkers was a shot at TNA and the James Gang aka VKM. HBK then made a remark about guys who call themselves "the best in ring performers of this generation". This was meant as a shot at both Bret Hart and Kurt Angle.

In a recent issue of Steppin Out magazine Tito Ortiz commented that he thinks Triple H would be a horrible MMA fighter and that pro wrestlers are nowhere near the caliber of conditioned MMA fighters.

Balls Mahoney was legit knocked out by Kevin Thorne during their match on ECW this past Tuesday.
