Mickie/Winter: I Don't Get It...

Full disclosure I am a Mickie mark. She is my favorite female wrestler

That being said, I don't get what they are doing with Mickie/Winter. Winter wins the KO title. 2 weeks later, Mickie wins the tile back. Next PPV Winter wins it back. What's the point? I don't get the back and forth.

I thought about that aswell watching No Surrender today.

Maybe they want it to be a brutal rivalry, with the title changing hands from one woman to another, as each tries to outdo the other. Each week Winter gets crazier and crazier, and Mickie becomes more obsessed with doing her away for good.

Hopefully having a series of specialty matches the knockouts in TNA perform so well at: Hardcore match, Ladder match, Steel Cage Match, then finally a Last Knockout Standing to end the rivalry, with Mickie coming out on top.

But knowing Russo, this is probably another swerve. Expect Mickie to win it back in the rematch via Angelinas interference gone wrong, then Winter and Angelina will feud.

I was disappointed with last night's outcome. Come on, Winter won the exact same way she won her first title a month ago! The only difference was that she spewed blood on Angelina Love first by mistake; I couldn't believe Mickie James fell for that again, though I might have missed something.

I will still watch Impact the next few weeks and see how they turn this around before or at Bound For Glory. I'm certainly not going to quit watching because I disagree with the booking for a PPV. I want Mickie to win her title back at all costs and a Last Knockout Standing match would be pretty neat. Isn't that what pro wrestling is all about, the heel getting their just deserts from the babyface?

I too was a little shocked to read that Winter won the Knockouts title again, particularly after having won it then lost it in such a short span of time.

I agree that the most likely theme being attempted here is that the Knockouts title is hotly contested by two of the main stars on the roster. They're both of equal caliber, so they continuously trade the belt back and forth. Though multiple quick title changes would typically serve to devalue a championship, the exception here is that it's the same two women who are involved in an escalating feud.

Rather than being a "girl of the month" type of moniker that nearly every woman in the division has been labeled with at some point, TNA seem to be taking a different tact with the Knockouts Championship. I too see Mickie/Winter going down the same road Mickie/Tara did with a feud escalation that concludes in an appropriate blow-off. As an aside, I think the Mickie/Tara cage match on iMPACT still stands out as one of the best contests the show has seen since I've started watching. Hopefully, Mickie/Winter will get an appropriate send-off and overall strengthen the Knockouts championship in the process.

The knockouts division really seems to have lost its direction, every step foreword they take two steps back. this feud is really just lost its spark and direction. understand Mickie losing the title the first time , its what heels do and no one can hold it forever but just a repeat doesn't help it just makes it like a loaf of bread. if you don't do anything with it the bread will get stale and moldy.

As much as I hated Mickie losing the title, I get that she had to lose it at sometime so I was fine with it. Winter winning by 'cheating' did not hurt Mickie at all. Then Mickie won it back and I was confused as to why they had her drop it so soon. I thought Mickie would retain with Angelina perhaps causing Winter to lose accidently thus setting up the start of a Winter/Angelina feud. having Winter win back the title makes no sense to me and I am glad I am not the only one.

i didnt get the move here either but then after talking about last nights ppv with 1 of my friends i got to thinking....what if winter won back the title from mickie just so she can go back into a fued with Velvet Sky with velvet trying to save angelina from winter but this time for the knockouts title? say winter beats mickie clean on impact in the coming weeks shes out of the title picture then who can step up sense shes already the 2nd top face? Velvet Sky! i could see velvet possibly winning the knockouts title from winter at BFG or winter wins and the fued keeps going with Velvet taking the title later this year.....honestly i still think Velvet Sky WILL be knockouts champ later this year!

As much as I may disagree with this booking decision how is it any different than a double title switch during a house show tour?

In the end I feel we will see a 4-way with Mickie, Winter, Angelina, and Velvet with Velvet finally winning the title at BFG

Personally, i'm not a big fan of Mickie James, especially now that she in TNA so in a way i'm glad she lost the title again. The fact of the matter is that either a) Mickie Wins the belt back before bound for glory only to lose it to Velvet Sky at Bound For Glory or B) Winter face both Mickie and Velvet at Bound For Glory and lose to Velvet. Because one way or the other, Velvet is getting the championship next. That the direction they've been going with for months now.

So, O.K. maybe switching the championship back and forth like that made no sense and having Mickie lose to winter 3 times the same way in the spend of a month makes Mickie look stupid, both that TNA booking 101, it doesn'T make sense but i stop trying to make sense od anything TNA is doing so i gonna leave you with a small advice, don't try making sense of TNA bookings, it's not worth it.

Well i'm glad Winter won ( she is so damn hot and reminds me of a female wrestler i know where i live), maybe this will turn out like a series type of match like maybe an cage match between her and Mickie James for the title. Maybe TNA will have Winter face Velvet-Sky for the title( win win situation for me because i get to see Winter and Velvets-Sky's pigeons).

I suspect Mickie to win it back to start a later feud for Winter and Love.The problem is who feuds with Mickie then? Melina if she joins? Gail if she returns doubt it since she will be a babyface.Maybe have Sky get her opportunity and feud with Mickie where she wins.Also she can feud with Sarita and Rosita
