*MERGED* [OFFICIAL] Undertaker vs Kane discussion

For Kane's own credibility he has to feud with other people in between his Final conflict with Undertaker.... During the first feud where he burned Taker in the Casket... Kane had matches both PPV and on Raw vs other wrestlers like Dude Love, and Vader etc... Vader in fact made a run in to club Kane back to the ring during the first Inferno Match.

for this Title run someone else needs to go after Kane and take the dive...

For the Undertaker we got a major milestone coming up. Survivor Series.... 20 years since his Debut match in 1990 is this year. I think for this should be Undertaker's return.... Some sort of Gimmick Match befitting the two and their "Mythology"

13 years ago the feud between the undertaker and kane started in the confines of a steel cage and at that time, no one knew who kane was, what he was capable of and why he decided to enter the then WWF. Now in 2010, it all starts again but this time Kane is the dominant one and the undertaker is the underdog. Now as we all know, Undertaker is the only superstar who is still in the company who was on the first ever episode of Raw and has never gone to other promotions like so many others have done. He is the reason that so many people still watch WWE. We all know he will defeat Kane, take the championship and the feud may continue for a couple of matches and then Kane will have his sights on another Superstar and another storyline will evolve. Im a fan of both wrestlers but don't see the point of the storyline now. The undertaker was legitimately injured by Rey Mysterio and had to take time of to recuperate and of course to get married to Michelle Mccool but the storyline the WWE came up with to cover that up does not work. Sure Kane needed a push as his character needed it but could it have been done without him having to be pushed by the one person he is supposed to be in the shadow of? WWE is so predicatable at the moment and it needs to start surprising the fans and not using storylines that are so transparent

At Wrestlemania 20, they did ask Kane to end the streak, and he refused. He said that no one would end the Undertakes undefeated Steak. That was six years ago, a lot has happened since then, mainly Takers gotten older and closer to retirement

I do see something like Kane winning the Royal Rumble to meet his brother at Wrestlemania in a buried alive match. Ok, I don't really see this PG company doing that, but it is what I want to see. The only way I feel Taker can loss at Wrestlemania is to Kane. After the match Taker retires, not to be seen again until he is inducted into the Hall of Fame.

I hope they give it some time and Kane goes on to be dominant for a little longer. I agree that he should face other people and develop some minor feuds. I like where this Kane/Undertaker feud is now and where it has the potential to go. But yes, I do hope they start to involve other superstars within the feud.

As far as the streak goes, I can think of no better "Legend Killer" to end the streak than the Viper. I hear he doesn't like being a Face and wants to stay Heel. Maybe his Viper character just needs another spin. His RKO logo already has the look of Wings made out of Bones. Perhaps there is something sinister there.

Does anyone else remember Husky Harris's little rant about wearing Cowboy boots and the Devil?

What's this Paul Bearer talk? His with NWA.

i think the undertaker should retire with the wrestlemania streak intact. its something that no one else has ever done and doubt ever will again. i dont want him to retire just yet as i think he has a lot of life in him yet, well at least getting to 21-0 at least. You have superstars with multiple championships to their name and are remembered for it. HHH for holding the WWE championship the most times, Team 3D for being 23 time tag champions, Ric flair for holding 16 plus championships in various organisations, even Bruno sammartino for holding the WWWF title for a record 11 years. there are many others.these are all mile stones and the wrestlemania winning streak should never be broken. sure, it would give someone a huge boost if they could break the dead mans run but lets face it, the undertaker is the longest serving wrestler still lacing up his boots and he should be able to retire his streak himself.

We all know that Paul Bearer is back and has the urn giving Undertaker his strength back. But I saw some people mention this in a few posts that Kane should mask again and the mask will give him his strength? In my opinion I really think that should happen. I heard Kane was going to retire soon so think of it like this...

When Kane debuted, he was a monster. Tearing through anything in his way. He looked very intimidating with his attire. People were afraid of him.

When Kane unmasked, he was a MONSTER! The storyline he had at that time was great. "DON'T MAKE FUN OF ME!!!" He would destroy anyone and not do what the fans wanted him to do. He burned JR. His feud with the Mcmahons was cool. He tombstoned Linda on the entrance ramp then feuded with Shane. I can go on with a ton of badass stuff he did at that time but my main point is that...

If Kane could remask one last time before he retires, he should retire as the monster he is. Bring back masked Kane and his old attire. I know people said this feud with Undertaker will end at HIAC most likely, but that's just too quick with Paul Bearer here again. I honestly don't know when it will end but all I want is for Kane to retire and leave WWE with his Masked monster gimmick.

I would love for Kane to get his mask back. In order for that to happen, the feud needs to continue into one more PPV. I would have Taker winning at HIAC and Kane invoking his rematch clause at the next PPV and it being an inferno match. Kane loses by having his face catch fire. He goes away for awhile( the break in their feud) and at Royal Rumble the teasers of Kane's return begin by costing Taker the title due to the distraction. Then at Elimination Chamber PPV, Bearer turns on Taker and costs him his rematch. Then going into WM, Bearer hypes up the return of the monster, etc. Then at WM we have Kane return with the mask being escorted by Bearer.

Now the Undertaker/Kane fued is goin on yet again. OK, so i understand the whole storyline as ive been watchin wwf/e since '87 and remember when taker made his debut, same for Kanes debut. They are "brothers" and renewed their fued yet again a few months ago. I honestly am sick and tired of this kane/taker fued. DO SOMETHING NEW AND CREATIVE WWE!!!!!

Sure its to set up the whole ending of undertaker or kane and one or both retire. I believe its stupid. Let them fued with other people. I DO NOT want to see Undertaker vs Kane at Wrestlemania for a 3rd time. They should have never done taker vs kane twice at WM. Takers WM wins should have been from different opponents each time and unique. At Night of Champions, i was there live and got up to go the the bathroom cuz i didnt want to see them again wrestling eachother. This is OLD and boring to watch them 2 go at it, STOP IT ALREADY WWE!

Undertaker should be fueding with someone whos a rising star to help get him over, not someone close to the end of their career. Kane should be fueding with Big Show, they may have had a lil fued in the past but nothing major. I'd love to see a Kane/Big Show fued for the WHC go on untill Wrestlemania.

If anything with Undertaker and him going to retire after WM, have him win the Royal Rumble, face Raws World Champion and win it at WM. Then have Miz come out and cash in MITB, but lose to taker. so Taker moves from 18-0 to 20-0 in one night. After he beats Miz, he says hes goin to retire. He'll go out with a win and World title. Unlike Flair or HBK, Undertaker should go out in style. I cant think of any other better way for undertaker to go out but with a bang like that.

So does anyone else think im right or they actually like seeing the same boring fued go on yet again here?

I have been watching WWE for as long as i can remember and i too remember both the undertakers and Kane's débuts. The undertaker made his début 22nd November 1990 as the mystery team mate for the million dollar team and made an impact 1 minute into the match. Back then, nobody could touch him, hurt him or defeat him. The WWF had their Phenom and still do, just more human now and can be hurt. A masked Kane debuted on October 5th 1997 in the first ever hell in a cell and was able to manhandle the undertaker like no one else had ever done. Wind forward 13 years and you have a bald monster who is the world heavyweight champion and supposedly has the undertakers powers. Paul Bearer is now back on the scene as he was at Kane's début and soon after the undertakers début. What has changed? Nothing really. the feud is still there, Bearer is still in the middle of both brothers and the storyline is still the same except this time there is a title belt on the line. now I've watched this storyline before. The inferno match, the fake Kane match (which was the undertaker all along) and now at HIAC they are going to fight in the cell for the championship. Its quite obvious of the outcome. The Undertaker will be weakened, coughing and having problems and so get kicked all round the ring, kick out of various pin attempts more than likely bleed like a waterfall until he is out cold on the mat and Kane is standing over his lifeless body. just as Kane is about to pin, the arena lights will go off, a beam of light will pierce the darkness from the urn and when the lights come back on the undertaker will be standing over an unconscious Kane, lift him up and tombstone Kane to hell and he will salute to the urn victorious. Its predictable. Come on WWE Writers, use your Expert storyline Knowledge and give the fans what they want. something to keep them on their toes and guessing. If Kane is going to retire soon then fine give him a really good storyline but not with the undertaker and have him re mask. if he is going then give him a grand send off rather than beaten to a pulp by his brother. Kane was never going to be a bigger star in the WWE as the Undertaker as there is only room for one Phenom.

HiaC is the final time i think these two will meet one on one. It started inside the Cell with Kane's debut and it can end in the cell. I see taker winning cause its his match type. however i find this strange... Taker vs Kane at WM20 was seven years after their first encounter but its been seven more WMs since then. and they plan to have Kane or Sheamus face taker at WM so maybe we could see Kane & Undertaker one more time.

WWE Considering a Buried Alive Match?
Posted by: Wrestling-Radio.com

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE Creative are considering a Buried Alive Match between The Undertaker and Kane to mark Takers 20th Anniversary with the company at the Survivor Series PPV.

ok well the quote says it all now im not sure if this is true or not but if wwe are considering it would you be interested?
with the pg rating can they even have a buried alive match because putting someone in a casket is one thing but throwing someone in a ditch and burying them doesnt seem "kid friendly"?

anyway if this does happen at survivour series would u be interested?
do you think it could happen with the pg rating?
would u like to see it?
could it be as interesting as previous ones?

WWE have been passing around the idea of a Buried Alive match for Undertaker's 20th Anniversary in the WWE. What better place in doing it than Survivor Series(Where the Undertaker started his legendary career). I'm not sure if it would be for the WHC but what I know is the Kane/Taker will continue after Hell in the Cell.

I personally think this might be a good idea coming from the WWE to hype up this rivalry. I'm not sure it will happen due to the fact WWE is PG, but I think WWE is trying to sneak in a little TV-14 due to the fact that Linda Senate race is over in November and Survivor Series is later down the month. If the E goes along with the idea, I can see this match ending in two ways.

1.Undertaker is betrayed by Paul Bearer and Kane wins, leaving Undertaker to come back in his American Badass gimmick so it will keep the rivalry going into WrestleMania.

2.Undertaker wins and Kane stays away from the E for a while. WrestleMania comes and Kane interfere with Undertaker match causing Undertaker to lose.

I would love to see another Buried Alive match since the last one made me hate it. Plus it will help the ratings for Survivor Series do better than last few years. What do you think?

Do WWE need a Buried Alive match to help it's fanbase plus it's ratings?
What outcome do you think will come out of this match and who do you want win?

well since a lot of you want kane to get his mask and old attire back, ive thought, how cool would it be if undertaker somehow managed to burn kane at hell in a cell, similar to what he did with edge, put kane through the middle of the ring and have it explode with pyros, everyone can think kane is gone for good, then kane could start to play mind games with taker and after a while he comes back in his old attire saying that undertaker really burned him this time, which leads to one more match between the two maybe a burried alive match or whatever

This is a match that hasnt been seen in a while so i think it would create a bit more hype with the Kane/Taker fued. I think that if they had Paul Bearer turn on Taker and let him be buried then he could take time out and come back at the Rumble.

I just cant help but think that Paul Bearer will side with Kane, the subtle hints like when he first re-emerged in the casket, it was a red tie he was wearing, the rumours are that Kane-Taker is a front runner for mania, so what kind of momentum would Kane get if he lost this fued with Taker 6 months from now? If they want to build a WM fued surely they have to make little bro go in 2-0 if they want any credibility to this fued? And the only way i can see them building this right now is by doing the screwjob and running it from here with Kane as a mega heel.

WHAT R UR THOUGHTS?

First thread so don't hit me too hard lol

The way I see it is the WWE has a new audience these days since they are in the "PG" era, and since the Undertaker seems to be on his way out what better way to end it with Kane? The man he has the most history with in WWE (other than Paul Bearer, with him added makes it even better). But, everyone complains this has been done to death, but the last time I remember The Undertaker and Kane properly feuding was Wrestlemania 20, which was OVER 6 YEARS AGO. Still, that couldn't really be classed as a real feud as it was one comeback match for Taker and that was the feud done. Even though there was a lot of build up Taker was never actually there for a promo or anything to Wrestlemania, it was just Kane hyping the match up himself and clues to The Undertaker's return.

Like I said as well, it's a new audience these days. The kids will be wondering why Undertaker and Kane have never faced off since they are "brothers" and probably like this kind of feud since they've never seen it before as they're too young to remember, and remember, it is young kids that WWE seems to listen to most these days. Don't forget the fact that the Undertaker and Kane are both in the top 5 "big man" wrestlers in history and have incredible chemistry, fantastic promo capabilities (Kane more so I'd say, still don't know why they had him mute for so many years but that's for another thread) and they are both very talented for their size.

So what really is wrong with Undertaker and Kane fighting it out? They've only ever faced each other in one of their "trademark" match-ups before this feud (Inferno match), so now they're trying to make this the be all and end all of this feud by putting them in another two trademark match ups (Hell in a Cell and a rumoured Buried Alive match).

This is just my opinion feel free to disagree with me. :)

I'm talking about the Kane-Taker storyline. It started from the time Rey replaced Taker in the Fatal-4-Way match for WWE Fatal-4-Way PPV. Though, Taker wasn't physically involved in it, Kane was searching for the attacker. Then, Kane won the World title and Taker returned. They had 2 matches. Once, at N.O.C and then at HIAC. And Taker is still not the champion. So, I think that Taker will have his one last match and Bragging Rights, probably a Buried Alive match. Then, Kane using his rematch clause and losing. One more match and then, hopefully, it will be the end.

Now the question is, when do you think this storyline will end. Will Taker have one more match? If he wins, how many chances will Kane have? Are you tired of this storyline? How long will it continue (till which PPV)?

I was thinking about this before, i was thinking along the lines of Kane winning the buried alive match, if it's actually happening. Hearing nothing from taker for a while and having him return in sometime 2011 before mania giving Kane a better, longer more credible title run.

i could see either two main things happening for taker to return, i could see it happening at the rumble coming in at number thirty and winning, he would get a HUGE pop from the crowd and having say hes going away for sometime to "gain more powers" to defeat kane then just showing up at mania and having a match.

OR.....

have WWE creative team take the lazy way out and just do a copy cat storyline to when he returned at wrestlemania XX.

i'll be disappointed if they choose to end the feud at bragging rights once and for all.

what do you think about the rumble idea?...

I've been trying REALLY hard to become excited about this feud. I don't expect Taker and Kane to have a good match, because both men are up there in age, and both of them are pretty banged up, especially Taker. I don't think they're match at Night Of Champions was bad. I would rather see these two brawl, because they're not going to be able perform a technical masterpiece in the ring. The ending to the Hell In A Cell match was over the top. I had a feeling something like that would happen. In this feud, the supernatural elements are going to play a big part in everything.

Paul Bearer's return added a little intrigue to this feud, but things have kind of died down since then. Bearer's heel turn wasn't too much of a shock, and now Kane is "powerful" again. I don't know how it's going to happen, but Undertaker will come out on top when this feud is over. Some bizarre supernatural event will occur, and Kane will be weakened again.

I was skeptical about Undertaker VS kane 2010 at first. I felt this way because I know how this feud will eventually end. Taker will gloriously triumph over kane, become the World Heavyweight Champion, and Paul Bearer will disappear again. This feud is probably going to make it to Survivor Series. I don't know how long WWE plans to keep this up, but it gets harder for me to get into this feud as each week goes by.

At least thats what Vince McMahon appears to think. Taker vs. Kane in a buried alive match has been announced....really? Now if your not 11 or younger you know that this isnt the first time Taker and Kane have fueded. And by all means I have no problem with WWE having them fued again because they have no faith in anyone else, but buried alive? Really?

Lets look back. Buried Alive match between Stone Cold and Taker at Rock Bottom in 98, Kane helped Austin bury Taker. 2003 Survivor Series, Kane burried Taker again. How many times does Kane have to try to bury Taker in order to realized it doesnt work?

Not meaning to be a mark in anyway and I could care less how the storyline goes, but anyone else find this to be just asinine?

Crazy as this might sound, but I think everyone would be astonished if Paul Bearer buries both Undertaker and Kane at the same time! Undertaker and Kane knock each other out inside the grave and then Paul Bearer starts shoveling dirt onto both of them which leads to a no contest ending. This then gives both men time off and I know Kane is World Champion but he can be away for a bit, have Undertaker and Kane both return right around Survivor Series and hopefully Undertaker has more of a old school look to him...I'm not still digging the MMA gloves he wears and the tights and tanktop, they are still too American Bad Ass looking. He needs more of the Ministry type look. As for Kane, I doubt they will remask him, but maybe freshen up his appearance as well. This probably won't happen, but would make things interesting.
