Raw's Match of the Week: Justin Gabriel .vs. Randy Orton
- Besides a botched 450 splash, Justin Gabriel held his own in this main event. I see a possible U.S. title in his future.

TNA Impact Match of the Week: The Pope .vs. Fortune (5 on 1 handicap match)
- This seemed to be the most legit match of the night. I caught myself saying "That's It?!" during the Anderson .vs. RVD match. Too bad because I was really looking forward to seeing these to square off. note: I didn't exactly have alot to choose from this week with all the drama unfolding. Don't get me wrong, I love TNA, but we'd gone through more than half the program without a match. In this time, the knockouts title even changed hands. Again, I'm not complaining, I truly love TNA.

Smackdown Match of the Week: Edge .vs. Dolph Ziggler
- HANDS DOWN!! This was the overall match of the week. I couldn't have been happier with the way this match turned out. Although Dolph Ziggler was on the losing end of the match, he came out a more believable I.C. champ. These two showed out!!

Match Of The Week

WWE Monday Night Raw Standouts

John Cena & Randy Orton vs. Michael McGuillicutty & Husky Harris - Fun tag team match even if the outcome was never seriously in doubt. Still, it was a chance for Harris & McGuillicutty to have a strong outing against the two top faces in the WWE and they were able to pull that off. Cena & Orton get the win at the 10 minute mark but the two NXT Season II Rookies did well in their first outing on Raw.

Battle Royal - This was alright as battle royals go. The overall purpose of it was to basically give Team SmackDown! a little extra juice as this was the go home Raw to Bragging Rights and they were able to do that in a fun way. Nothing overly special here, though it was nice to see SmackDown! come out on top in this situation. I like that more emphasis is being put on the brand and as long as they keep things from being like they were on the show's debut on Syfy, then it's all good.

WWE Superstars Standouts

Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre vs. MVP & Chris Masters - This was a fun and energetic tag match on the throwaway show. The outcome of the match was never in doubt, but MVP & Masters looked good together and gave the reigning tag champs a competitive match. Rhodes & McIntyre did pick up the win and it's nice to see the tag champs racking up wins.

TNA iMPACT Standouts

Mickie James vs. Sarita - This was Mickie's debut match in TNA and while it wasn't a classic, it was a good solid match and lots better than we've seen out of the Knockouts in quite a while. It was just refreshing to see a Knockout segment that didn't have The Beautiful People at the center of it. Hell, it was refreshing to see a Knockout segment/match without TBP in it at all. TNA didn't make Mickie's debut feel special or anything, but it was a good solid match.

Mr. Anderson vs. Kazarian - This was an Ultimate X match and it did its job of hyping the Mr. Anderson arm injury. However, one of my biggest issues with TNA is their abuse of gimmick matches. Ultimate X used to be TNA's signature match, but TNA is relegating it to the realm of "just another match". There was no build up, no hype or anything. I didn't really feel this match all that much and would have preferred a standard match to this. Kazarian got the win with half the locker room coming out to help him, in the form of Fortune, and they made Kazarian look like a scrub. He was in a match that he has lots of experience in and he's booked to not be able to win against a man with one arm.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Standouts

John Morrison vs. Alberto Del Rio - This was a short match at 5 minutes, but it was a quality 5 minutes. Both looked strong and good against each other with both men getting in about the same amount of offense throughout. Del Rio got the win via the armbar submission but the match looked like it could go either way throughout. I'd love to see these two get about 15 minutes and a program in the future.

Edge vs. CM Punk - I liked this match a lot. It was just a lot of fun even though it did start out a little slowly. As with JoMo/Del Rio, Edge & Punk went back and forth with both getting in a lot of offense and the match looked like it could've gone either way. I'm assuming Edge wins via DQ and all the members of the teams at Bragging Rights hit the ring for a fun round of quick finishers. Edge has been better the past few weeks than he's been in months and I'd love a program between Punk and himself.

Randy Orton vs. Kane - I thought this was a solid main event for the show. Some probably won't like that Kane dominated much of the match, but it makes perfect sense for SmackDown! to be portrayed as being equal to Raw. That's been the theme with the Bragging Rights build up and the show moving to Syfy. Kane looked strong against Orton and Orton did get in a good share of offense. Orton gets the win after Taker's bell tolls and the lights go out, providing a distraction for Orton to hit the RKO. It wasn't a "dream match" as the commentators were hyping, but it was a solid main event I thought.

Match Of The Week: Edge vs. CM Punk - This was easily the MOTW in my opinion. It was fun and was the most competitive match I've seen on television this week. It's the sort of match that would've been a very nice teaser for a potential feud if these two were on the same brand. I'd love to see the brand format come to an end as I think feuds between Punk & Edge and Morrison & Del Rio hold a lot of possibilities. Punk & Edge looked very good and I liked that the match ended the way it did. Run ins can get old if they're done too much of course, but I liked how they were able to make it feel that it was really anyone's match throughout.

WWE provided a lot of wrestling this week on three shows. Impact not so much so let's get to it.

WWE Monday Night RAW

John Cena & Randy Orton vs Husky Harris & Michael McGuillicutty (curse his last name) - A nice tag match that really showed off the rookies quite well especially Harris. I'm genuinely interested in an Orton/Cena star team somewhere in the future. I hope the rookies continue as a tag team as they work pretty well as a team.

Brand Warfare Battle Royal - I'm a fan of these matches and this one was good for me. I like the spot with Morrison and Del Rio eliminating each other. I also like Swagger still showing resentment to Edge. The finish was well done with the Big Show and Edge standing tall.

WWE Superstars

MVP & Chris Masters vs Drew McIntyre & "Dashing" Cody Rhodes - A good tag match that showed the dominance of the tag champs. Rhodes and McIntyre continue to look great as a team and I'm glad to see Drew's original entrance back.

TNA iMPACT!

Mickie James vs Sarita - How bad is it that a women's match was the best match of the night for your show? Anyway, damn did Mickie and Sarita look good in both the wrestling sense and looks. Nice to see the revamp KO division. I would like to see Sarita more than once a month though.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown

John Morrison vs Alberto Del Rio - A quick fast paced match with both guys looking good. I was disappointed to see Del Rio to get the win though as Morrison is becoming a favorite of mine with his match quality as of late. This is how they should be booking Morrison though. Not through promos but going out there and performing which he can do. He did however rip Swagger quite nicely in the opening segment with that English language line.

Edge vs CM Punk - A very anticipated match for me and it delivered. Both guys look great and worked well with each other. Even though it didn't have a clean finish, I didn't mind b/c neither man don't need a clean lost at this point. I like the skirmish b/w both teams at the end although it was disappointing to see Punk go down last. I definitely want a future fued b/w both guys though.

Randy Orton vs Kane - I was suprisingly into this match as Orton worked alright with Kane. I thought Kane looked real dominant against Orton. I liked the finish of the match as it doesn't weaken Kane or Orton one bit. Undertaker pulling Kane under ring though was very creepy and I'm pretty sure I wet myself when I saw it.

Match of the Week: Edge vs CM Punk - Like Jack-Hammer said, this was easily MOTW. A great competitive match b/w two of the best right now which didn't have none of them looking weak after it and I hope to see a future fued b/w the two.

Edge vs CM Punk really had no challenge whatsoever when it comes to the quality of matches this week. Is it because the week sucked? More or less yeah, but also because Edge vs CM Punk was actually pretty good.

Very back and forth match. Kinda must admit I marked out a little bit when they announced the match to begin with. Also I liked the follow-up after the match ending in A DQ. The fact that they had everybody beating down on each other and ending it where we began all the finisher-fests actually made sure that the DQ didn't hurt the match whatsoever.

What about Tyler and Davey on HDNET? That was a great fucking match. Good back and forth, some nice spots and although the Punk Edge match was very good this was fucking great. Cammon guys ROH is on TV too.

Checked out Black/Richards on the interweb just for the hell of it, and it certainly was pretty good. Might as well go with it just to do something different. It's not like anyone has HDNet, but I'm sure there's some pretty decent wrestling there on a consistent basis.

Match Of The Week

WWE Bragging Rights Standouts

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler - This was the opening match of the ppv, a Champion vs. Champion match and it was fantastic. Bryan & Ziggler have great chemistry together and delivered an extremely competitive and high energy match up. Over the past several weeks, Dolph Ziggler has really looked great in the ring and Daniel Bryan continues to impress me. This match was just plain fun, there's really no other way to look at it. Bryan gets the win around the 16.5 minute mark with the LaBelle Lock and I liked how even though Ziggler lost, he looked strong and appeared to look like he could have beaten Bryan.

Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown! - While the whole brand rivalry thing didn't mean much to me, this was still a fun 7 on 7 elimination tag match. It was hard for me to overly care about the story behind this because I don't buy into the rivalry of the brands and the WWE doesn't really do much to make me care. Still, the match was fun and gave a lot of guys a chance to shine to some degree, except for Santino but that's how it should be as he's a comedy jobber. Team SmackDown! ultimately got the win here close to the 30 minute mark for the second year in a row.

Kane vs. The Undertaker - This was the weakest of the 3 standout matches for me, but I thought it was a generally solid brawl between these two. Nothing overly special happened during the match but both of them worked hard. The Nexus came out and beat the snot out of Taker to prevent him from winning the match and Kane retains. Kane won the match, which is how it should have ended and the feud is done for now. Nothing spectacular, but I thought it was quite solid.

WWE Monday Night Raw Standouts

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler - This was a rematch from the night before and it was also great. It was an extremely competitive match, went back and forth, great chemistry, both wrestlers looked strong throughout and the crowd was super hot for it. Bryan got the win again about the 11 or 12 minute mark via the LaBelle Lock.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton - I know people are kind of tired of seeing these two wrestle, this is really only the second time this year, but they always put on great matches and this was no exception. If Cena won, Wade Barrett picked the special ref for his match with Orton at Survivor Series and vice versa if Orton won. It was a very good back and forth match with both of them working hard. I liked the ending of the match as Barrett hits Cena, causing him to win via DQ as it just felt like a little payback for Cena's use of the loophole he exploited at Survivor Series. Fun match.

WWE Superstars Standouts

Tyson Kidd vs. Zack Ryder - This was a damn good match between these two and really should have been the match to close out the show. Tyson Kidd was damned impressive in the ring as he usually is and I'd love to see the WWE do something with him. He's simply too damn good in the ring to waste. He and Ryder had a competitive match, good back and forth action at times and Kidd looked as though he has the match won only to be distracted by DH Smith. It allowed Ryder time to recover, Kidd missed a springboard elbow and Ryder hits the Rough Ryder at the 10.5 minute mark for the win. It was nice to see Ryder get a win but Kidd shined here.

TNA iMPACT! Standouts

Mickie James & The Beautiful People vs. Madison Rayne, Tara & Sarita - There wasn't anything overly spectacular about this match, but it was pretty good and far better than we've seen from the Knockouts in quite a while. This match didn't equal the big brawl these 6 had at the top of the show, but it was still a pretty solid effort. The Knockouts haven't been all that relevant for a while so it's nice to see some real energy and effort being put back into it since the arrival of Mickie James.

Motor City Machine Guns vs. Ink Inc. vs. Generation Me - This was a fun, faced paced match featuring 3 young teams. This was easily the best match on iMPACT! and probably the best overall match I've seen on iMPACT! in a while. There was a lot of high energy offense and fast paced. It was a little spot heavy, but they didn't go overboard with it. The Guns get the win at the 6 minute mark. It was fairly short, but it was high quality.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Standouts

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler - As with their previous 2 matches this week, Ziggler & Bryan delivered another great match. Basically, take everything I've said about the first 2 and apply it to this one. It would've been nice to see Ziggler get a win but the WWE has managed to make him strong even though he's lost 3 times this week to Bryan.

Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio - Very high quality main event to close out tonight's show and determine a new #1 contender for the WHC. Some people don't like triple threat matches, I don't sometimes, but I do if they're pulled off like this one was tonight. It was very competitive, all three wrestlers got in a good deal of offense and got time to shine. Del Rio did look particularly strong and had a very good showing of himself against two multi time World Champions and main eventers. The crowd was extremely hot for this, there were some fun near falls and Edge ultimately got the win around the 15.5 minute mark. A high quality main event to close out SmackDown!.

Match Of The Week: Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler @ Bragging Rights - This match was the general highlight of the Bragging Rights ppv and it stole the show. Daniel Bryan has quite strong performances at the WWE ppvs he's wrestled on but his showing against Ziggler was his best yet I think. I think that Bryan & Ziggler could be long term stars for the WWE and they showed why that is at the ppv. I thought this match had pretty much everything really with the exception of a build up. The downside of the Bragging Rights ppv is that there is no real brand rivalry, so it feels like a lot of the matches don't really have any consequences to follow up with. If this match had run about 10 minutes longer and had been given a month or so to build up, I think it would have been a match of the year contender. The other 2 matches they had this week on tv were great as well, but this was was simply just a little better.

Match Of The Week

Raw's Best Match: Ziggler Vs Bryan This was a Great TV Match, great chemistry both competitores looked great and very strong. Bryan wins with the LeBelle Lock at around the 12 minute mark.

Tna Impact's Best Match: MCMG Vs Ink Inc. Vs Gen Me I thought this was a Very Good Tag Match proving the Tna has the best Tag team Wrestling very excting high paced match. Guns pick up the win with the Skull & Bones.

Samckdown's Best Match: Ziggler Vs Bryan These two put on another Great TV Match tonight these two just work so well together. Bryan picked up the win in another Fantastic Match.

Match Of The Week: Daniel Bryan Vs Dolph Ziggler either one Raw Or Samckdown

The match of the week has to be Dolph Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan at Bragging Rights. There wasn't really much that could contest with this match. Neither one of them looked weak at any given point, and they simply stole the show. And they continued to show throughout this week that it wasn't a one-time thing, as they delivered on RAW and Smackdown as well.

I guess though I would throw an honorable mention to the Triple Threat match on Smackdown this week. It was pretty good for a television match. They delivered nicely, but in the end they couldn't contest with Bryan and Dolph's performance.

Again, Bryan vs Ziggler.
Not just at Bragging Rights, but Raw & SD! too.

These two guys really know how to put on a match, much like Punk/Rey did.
I'd love to see Bryan vs Punk/Jericho or JoMo as I think those matches would be insane.

Well, the WWE certainly provided some good matches especially with the trio b/w the two midcard champions. TNA is continuing their path of promos before matches but anway.

WWE Bragging Rights

Dolph Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan - Well it had the makings of a great match and it didn't disappoint in the least. Both guys worked very well together and had me hooked to a fast paced, excellent match.

Team Raw vs Team Smackdown, 7 on 7 Elimination Match - I'm actually a fan of the brand warfare concept and this match proved why as I was very into it. Each guy besides Santino of course had their moments and the match didn't drag at all.

Kane vs The Undertaker, Buried Alive Match for the World Heavyweight Title - A nice little brawl b/w the two big men. It was the buried alive part of the match that mostly kept me interested. A nice twist with the Nexus involvement and glad to see Kane pick up the victory.

WWE Monday Night RAW

Dolph Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan - Much like their match at the PPV, this one was very energetic and fast paced. Both guys continue to show their atheleticism and great in ring skills. I may want to see an actual feud b/w the two in the future.

John Cena vs Randy Orton - The big time match didn't disappoint for me as Cena and Orton do work well together. Both guys hit their usual moments and had the crowd involved from start to finish. I don't mind the DQ finish as it still leaves the question of who can beat who.

WWE Superstars

Zack Ryder vs Tyson Kidd - A decent match b/w my favorite douchebag and the better half of the Hart Dynasty. I was suprised and happy to see Ryder pick up the victory.

TNA iMPACT!

Mickie James & The Beautiful People vs Madison Rayne, Tara, & Sarita - The KO division is growing again with the new addition and actual showing of women besides TBP. It was nice to see Sarita again in consecutive weeks and to pick up the victory for her team. All of the women looked nice in the match too.

Generation Me vs Ink Inc. vs The Motor City Machineguns, Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the TNA World Tag Team Titles - A fast paced match that showcased TNA's good tag division. All teams looked pretty good in the match with the Guns and their usual greatness shining throughout.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown

Dolph Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan - You would figure after seeing the same match 3 times in one week you would get tired of it eventually but this is certainly not the case. Once again both guys but on an equally, energetic effort and although I was cheated out of a predicted Ziggler win (damn you Milenko). I still enjoyed the match a lot.

Edge vs Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio, Triple Threat Match for the #1 Contendership for the World Heavyweight Title - As a fan of triple threats, this was a very good one. All three men showed their abilities in the ring and not once did the match drag. With a lot of nearfalls and high impact moves, I was very much into the match from start to finish. I was glad to see Edge finally pick up the victory with a great spear!

Guilty Pleasure of the Week: Sheamus vs Santino Marella - A new thing that I want to add to my weekly post in this thread. It's a match that not most people liked but I'll be damn if I didn't and this week is Sheamus vs Santino. I'm a fan of comedy matches if done right and this one was done perfectly. Of course, Santino stood no chance against Sheamus but Morrison involvement helps perfectly to generate a nice crowd pop and start a feud b/w two of the WWE brightest young stars at the moment.

Match of the Week: Dolph Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan (Bragging Rights version) - I choose the original b/c well it was the first time these two met and they really went out and put on a show. A great back and forth match that I really want to see feud b/w the two somewhere in the future.

Match Of The Week
Bragging Rights- Dolph Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan-- I always mark out for champion vs champion matches, and this one was with two guys who were very well matched up. It looked like it would set the tone for the PPV(sadly it didn't), as both men put on a wrestling clinic.

Honorable Mention
No. 1 Contenders Match- Edge vs Alberto Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio-
Triple threat matches are hit or miss for me, and we see them far too often in WWE, but this one was well done. Im really enjoying Edge wrestling as a face, because he can really go. I thought the ending was a good spot with Edge spearing Del Rio while he had Mysterio on his shoulder's. The right man won as well, and allowed one match to create/further two feuds. Well done.

A bit late on this one but the week hasn't ended yet so "Phew" lol
Bryan vs Ziggler from bragging rights was the match of the week. It made we remember that as long as wrestlers like Bryan and Kaval are still around in the wwe that matches like that can still happen. Them two are the last of the old school :worship:

Yeah, another week of somewhat mediocre wrestling. Smackdown was really the one that produced the premiere wrestling as always (I did not watch iMPACT mind you).

While the triple threat match between Cody, Drew and MVP was pretty decent I don't really think it can trump this weeks choice. It was a back and forth match and fairly well done, but I guess the fact that.. MVP.. won the match kills it quite a bit for me.

But anyway, the match of the week has to be Edge vs Alberto Del Rio. I'm a little saddened about the fact that it ended with the interference of The Nexus. Especially considering it was pretty good and had both Edge and Alberto looking great throughout this match.

Match Of The Week

WWE Monday Night Raw Standouts

Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel vs. The Hart Dynasty - This was a short match but it was pretty fun while it lasted. I'm not overly thrilled with the state of tag team wrestling in the WWE but this was a solid match given the time it had. Tyson Kidd continues to look good in the ring and Gabriel & Slater got a solid win over former tag champs.

Daniel Bryan vs. Ted DiBiase - Solid match from Bryan & DiBiase, not spectacular, but it was a very solid 6 minutes or so. The match was pretty much filler on Raw, but filler is alright with me as long as its good. Bryan looked good and the crowd was very much behind him. He gets the win via the LaBell Lock here.

Randy Orton & R-Truth vs. Wade Barrett & David Otunga - Pretty fun tag team main event to close the show. The overall hook of the match was John Cena being the ref and how he would call it. The match told a good story and continued the story of Cena's reluctant involvement in the WWE Championship match at Survivor Series as well as keeping tension between himself, Orton & Barrett. Cena called it down the middle with Orton & Truth getting the win around the 10 minute mark.

WWE Superstars Standouts

Jack Swagger vs. Kaval - Very good match here with Kaval giving his overall strongest match since winning NXT Season II. Even though he still lost, he had a great showing against Jack Swagger and an argument could be made that one reason he lost was due to the interference of the Swagger Soaring Eagle. Swagger got the win via the ankle lock a little past 13 minutes. I'd like to see the WWE do something with Kaval. I'm not sure what they're waiting for exactly but I hope they don't screw up here.

TNA iMPACT! Standouts

Ink Inc. & Mickie James vs. Generation Me & Tara - This was a pretty fun mixed six person tag match. The male wrestlers handled most of the action during the match and it was a solid 6 minute match. Nothing overly spectacular, but a good match that kept the heat going with Mickie James & Tara for their match at the Turning Point ppv. I do think that TNA has a lot of work to do with GenMe as legit heels, but the match was good for the time they were given. Mickie & the Mohawks get the win.

Douglas Williams vs. Kazarian - I enjoyed this match a lot even though it was only 4 minutes. There was some legitimately good wrestling going on, lots of counters and a competitive nature to it. I'm not all that crazy about Kazarian in general, but the guy's got talent inside the ring and I've been a fan of Williams for a while now. Kazarian gets the win via some accidental interference from James Storm. I'd like to see these two get about 12-15 minutes against one another sometime in the future.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Standouts

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio - This match started SD! off last night and was very strong in my view. Both wrestlers looked good and put out a competitive effort. Del Rio is becoming one of my favorites and Edge hasn't looked as polished or energized in quite a while. I would've liked to have seen this match have a clean ending, but they were able to keep both of them looking strong by having the match come out as a no contest a little past 13 minutes.

MVP vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes - The WWE does a good job in putting on triple threat matches most of the time and this was no exception. All three guys got in some good offense and were showcased well, which is the key to having these kinds of matches come off well in my view. I have to admit that I believe MVP has gotten better in the ring while McIntyre & Rhodes both looked good as well. MVP got the win a bit past 12 minutes to become #1 contender for the IC title.

The Nexus vs. The Big Show, Edge, Kofi Kingston, Kane & Alberto Del Rio - This was a fun match, though I'm getting burned on on these huge tag team matches. The WWE has done a pretty good number of them since the SummerSlam ppv and most of them have involved The Nexus in some way. Still, it was a fun match overall that went almost 20 minutes. With Nexus invading SD!, I would've liked to have seen them win when you take into account the overall feuds going on with various members of the SD! team.

Match Of The Week: Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio - The offerings from Raw and iMPACT! this week weren't all that much to write home about. Kaval & Swagger put on a very good match on Superstars, but the problem is that there was virtually no doubt Swagger would pull off the win. The triple threat match on SD! was very well done and I've got no real complaints about it. The 10 man tag was fun but those mega tag matches are getting kind of stale. Edge against Del Rio was just a lot of fun for me. I would have preferred a clean ending here, but I get why it ended how it did. Del Rio continues to impress me and both he & Edge made one another look good.

I have to go with Edge vs Del Rio. These guys were putting on an absolute clinic until Nexus came out. Raw and Impact did not have me impressed at all and i did not watch Superstars. Hopefully WWE lets us get another Match between Del Rio and Edge in the near future

Match Of The Week

WWE Monday Night Raw Standouts

Team Orton vs. The Nexus - This was really the only standout match on Raw this past Monday for me. Most of the other matches were solid, but this is the only one that stood out. We've seen lots of these big mega tag team matches since SummerSlam and this one was pretty good overall. Just about everyone got to showcase what they've got, Daniel Bryan delivered a strong performance. Nexus gets the win after The Miz turns on the team, hits Orton with the Skull Crushing Finale and allows Barrett to get the win at the 14 minute mark. Overall, it was a fun match but I'm getting really bored with the big 10, 12 & 14 man tag matches.

WWE Superstars

Drew McIntyre vs. Kaval Standouts - I thought this was a great competitive match between McIntyre & Kaval. Overall, it's probably the strongest Kaval has looked and both guys looked strong throughout the whole thing. McIntyre has really improved since he first showed up on the scene and Kaval was able to get in lots of his unique offense. McIntyre did ultimately get the win via the Future Shock DDT at the 15 minute mark. I'm wondering what the WWE is doing with Kaval exactly. He's over with the fans, lots of stuff about him stands out as unique, his matches are often exciting and entertaining.

TNA iMPACT Standouts

AJ Styles vs. Stevie Richards - This was a good, high quality 6 minute match that was the highlight of iMPACT! for me last night. Both of them were able to deliver some good offense and an overall entertaining match. I would've have liked to have seen it go for at least 10 minutes, but what we got was quality just the same. Styles wins the match with a botched Styles Clash that just looked plain nasty.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Standouts

Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio - Pretty strong and competitive match to open SmackDown! tonight. I thought that both of them worked well together and they each stayed in control about the same amount of time, so it was really anyone's match. Del Rio did get the win at the 14.5 minute mark with the armbar submission. I was a little surprised that Del Rio went over Kofi cleanly.

Dolph Ziggler vs. MVP - I enjoyed this match a lot and it seemed longer than it actually was, and I mean that in a good way. Ziggler & MVP have had some good matches against each other in the past and this was another one. Good back and forth action, lots of pin attempts with Ziggler ultimately getting the win at the 9 minute mark. The WWE kept MVP looking strong as his foot was on the bottom rope. Ziggler also looked strong and got a nice victory by using a tried and tested heel tacting of moving the face's foot off the ropes.

Kane vs. The Big Show - This was the match that surprised me the most out of all that I've seen this week. They've had matches in the past that haven't really been much to speak of, but this was actually surprisingly good from the two big men. They actually wrestled a pretty good match and it wasn't the punch & kick fest that I expected it to be. Big Show's punches looked fake as crap but to see him actually wrestle in a wrestling match was something different. These two hit some high impact moves here and there, a few submissions, & Kane took Show off his feet a number of times during the match. I though the ending was a little weak, but it was still ok. This match went about 15 minutes with Show getting the win via a chokeslam after Edge provides a distraction.

Match Of The Week: Drew McIntyre vs. Kaval - Generally speaking, I enjoyed this match a little bit more than any other I saw this week. Kaval is just plain fun to watch inside the ring and McIntyre has improved a helluva lot since dropping the IC title. I was surprised to see that this match went as long as it did and that they made Kaval look as strong. I hope that the WWE has something interesting planned for him in the near future. The match was competitive, a good mesh of styles and they were given enough time to put on a very good television match.

I'm going with Alberto Del Rio VS Kofi Kingston this week. This match had a nice flow to it, and there were some very impressive spots here. Dolph VS MVP surprised me. It wasn't a great match, but it delivered well. I couldn't get into Team Barrett VS Team Orton from Raw. We've seen that type of match enough times, and I've grown tired of it already. John Cena as ref put a little twist on the match, but I just couldn't get into it. The rest of the matches on Raw this week were solid enough, but I could've done without the Divas soccer themed match, because I thought it was very bad in every way.

I couldn't get into the majority of the matches on Impact. Styles VS Richards wasn't bad at all, but everything else was just too quick, and I couldn't take some of the matches seriously. And there was nothing special about Turning Point. The bulk of the matches on that pay per view were shit.

I'm a little torn this week between two matches on Smackdown.

On one hand Alberto Del Rio vs Kofi Kingston was a great match. Very back and forth and it continues letting Alberto look great in the mid-card. And the match still didn't really make Kofi look any weak.

Dolph Ziggler vs MVP. While I'm not too high on MVP at all, this match was pretty good actually. It had Dolph looking strong as always, and I like that they also make him look like a smart champion the way he dragged MVP's foot off the rope to continue the pin. It allows for him to become more of an "ultimate" champion in terms of having the strength and ability to retain, but also do it in a smart way.

I guess though I would have to go with Alberto Del Rio vs Kofi. Mostly because it felt like Dolph was the one to "carry" the other match to make it great. Where as Kofi and Alberto both managed to make their match look great.

I'm going to have to go with Kofi vs Del Rio to. Del rio is that kind of dude that I love to hate. I hate his style and i hate his charicter. But honestly I can't wait to see him wrestle. I don't like the dude, but i really can't get over the fact that if he keeps it up he could be a really great champ in the next few years.

Wwe is really trying to put him over. Putting him in matches with great tallent like Kofi will deffinatly shoot him to the top. Work for work and trade for trade this match was the best of the week imo.

Shit, I'm going to have to update this. Getting far too lazy. Anyway, I guess I'll go with Team 3D v. the Motorcity Machineguns, mostly because they are the best thing in wrestling at the moment and there really is nothing else that jumps out at me. I don't think I could ever bring myself to choose an Albert Del Rio or MVP match.

I'm going with Daniel Bryan VS Jack Swagger from Old School Raw this week. This was a pretty good match. This match was very physical, it had a nice pace to it, and Bryan's missile dropkick from the top rope looked awesome. Man I wish Swagger could return to Raw, because I would love to see more matches between these two. Bryan continues to look strong as the US Champion, and I really enjoyed this match. Although, Cole being a dick on commentary was kind of distracting during this match. The rest of the wrestling on Old School Raw wasn't that good, but that night was about nostalgia. Also, the matches on Smackdown were pretty solid.

I wasn't too crazy about the stuff on Impact. The mixed tag team match was solid, but the majority of the wrestling on Thursday was very lackluster. Although, I really enjoyed Angelina Love VS Mickie James. This was one of the better Knockout matches I've seen on Impact all year. Also, the main event between Morgan and Flair was kind of a mess.

Yeah, Daniel Bryan vs Jack Swagger is really the way to go this week. Not only was it a great match in itself, with some good technical wrestling like we know these two can put on (I still think it's a shame that it had to end with a kick to the head rather than Jack tapping out).

I think it helped the match get over a little bit more with the special guest appearance from Jim Ross, who pretty much sold this match damn well. As well as he made the match seem a little bit funnier with Cole's bickering in the background.

Overall a good match, and more or less the match of the week by far.

I'm gonna go with Cody Rhodes vs Kofi Kingston. Great back and forth contest with surprisingly quick paced wrestling from Rhodes. The crowd was into the match and some heart pumping near falls made this match into a solid 3 stars.

I enjoyed Bryan/Swagger, mostly because Swagger is basically my favorite wrestler. I beat off to him regularly, just to give you an idea. Also, great to see JR there. You forgot how must better he is after he's been gone for so long. On the negative side, Cole got to ruin it the whole time by being an annyoying douche. Don't get the point of that character at all.
