Masters' claim to fame gone

Pretty much all that Chris Masters had going for him the past 2 years was the masterlock. Now that it has been broken by Bobby Lashley (another move to make him seem unstoppable) what will Masters do? I think that should have been an everlasting thing not having anyone able to break the lock.

Well, I'm glad it's over because now we can stop wasting another ten minutes of RAW over a stupid idea that was played out after the first week.

This I see as being the death of Chris Master's career, nobody is going to give two shits about the guy now that he has no reason to appear on TV. Besides, it's not like anybody's going to be pissed off about him leaving, imagine someone saying "WTF I wanna see a Chris Master's match!"? Doesn't sound right does it?

Kick dirt Masters.

This marks the end of Chris Masters and his somewhat small push that could have been made possible. The guy will probably be sent to ECW to job to guys like Lashley and undeservingly feud with guys like Punk and RVD...

I see a small future possible ahead of him, something with mid-card being his prime, possibly a United States Championship or something. Only time can tell...

I'm actually getting real shit of Bobby Lashley (this should probably be on another board). Why does Vince think that pushing a star you need to put down other potential stars in the mean time? Two perfect examples last night Lashley breaking the masterlock and Beniot tapping out to John Cena. Chris Masters is a nothing in this business right now but they spent 2 years of our time making us watch the Masterlock Challenge making us think the move was worth something and within 2 minutes they killed it . For Beniot they were talking about him coming to Raw to feud with Cena and HBK but what is the point now.

As for Lashley the guy has no mic skills what so ever. Within the last month Vince made Kennedy (twice), Master, and Orton look like jobbers in matches against him. I still have no idea why Vince pushes guys like Khali, Batista, Umaga, and Lashley who can't cut a promo at all. Not to mention this stupid Battle of the Billionaire is the most predictible match ever. There is no way Donald Trump is going to get his head shaved. I don't like Umaga but they spent all of 2006 pushing this guy to have him lose to John Cena twice and Lashley.

If Vince wants to know why no one watches ECW anymore look no further then 1) Its not hardcore 2) A Champs with no mic skills and 3) Why should people have to watch Lashley squash whom ever he wrestles?

he definently should go to ECW or Smackdown because he has tons of talent and they dont let him show it! I think people on raw smackdown and ECW should not be on the roster that they currently on pnly because i feel they are being left back from their true potentiols!

even tho there r more than 1 ppl on each roster ill name 1 from each:

Smackdown --> Chris Benoit def. should go to raw and feud with Cena or go to ECW to become the champ considering he is from ECW (I think)

ECW ---> C.M. Punk --> go to raw already!! (enough sed)

Raw --> just for argument sakes Masters he should go to Smackdown im tellin u!! but this is all of my own opinions

This master lock challenge was just a stupid way to put over bobby lashley.this hold should have been something that went on either until his last match or that no one should have ever broken it.this challenge was stupid.the best one had to be with hbk and him.

I'm kind of indifferent on Masters. I guess he's ok, but whatever. Problem with the Masterock challenge was that after just about every one I would find myself scratching my head thinking "What was the point of that?" But Masters, love him or hate him, you've gotta feel for the guy. He's been at it for a while and all he had left was his unbroken finisher, and now it's all gone, and for what? To put Lashley over when he's already way more than over enough. I don't really have anything against Lashley, aside from the fact that he can't cut a promo to save his life...but I hate how he's being shoved down our throats. I really hate when they do that with anyone quite frankly, like John Cena too.

Funny how Masters used to be viewed as the future of the business. Now his career is completely disceased for the sake of making Lashley look good.

I think it's funny that everyone is talking about Masters like he is dead or something? His hold got broken... big deal. Maybe now he'll get pissed off and maybe start winning some wrestling matches rather than put someone in his damn hold every Monday night. Alot of you are saying that he'll never go beyond mid-carder status, and that's probably true. But what exactly is wrong with that? The WWE can't build up every superstar to be a main eventer... there isn't enough room at the top. Career mid-carders like Masters are needed in the business and I happen to think he's not too bad at getting heat because everyone views him as a big,muscled idiot. The Masterlock may have been broken... but the guy is still young and now we'll get to hopefully see him develop within actual wrestling matches.

I'm calling it now. Masters moves to ECW to feud with Lashley (since he broke the Masterlock) and Snitsky. This way Lashley can still be touted as a unstoppable monster, even if he loses, because he had to deal with two serious contenders every night. Maybe the three of them can make ECW entertaining again, then again maybe not...

It may seem like it could be the end of his career or something at this point, but I mean seriously we all should of known it was gonna be broken sometimes before WrestleMania23. I could care less about the MasterLock personally but that was kinda his whole gimmick and really know its gone I really never cared for Chris Masters that much at all but some how this could be a bonus for him. Maybe to get him back on the spot or something and get him a new gimmick and then he may actually start winning some matches or something.

I think at this point, it could be good for him to go to ECW or maybe even Smackdown. He could get more of a push some how and everything but just the signs the past couple of Raws I knew it was coming to a end. I mean when Lashley came out I just about knew that the MasterLock was gonna be over, I know though it was no way that they was gonna let Lashley lose it when he's getting all this hype and building up so of course they gotta make him look good for the hair match. I'm just getting sick and tired of Lashley and Cena getting shoved down our throats like every damn week it's annoying and im getting sick of it. Having to watch Benoit job to Cena almost made me sick on my stomach and pissed me off and guys like Orton also jobbing to Lashley on ECW but anyways to wrap it up I'm thinking in a way Masters will take a little chill break and then we could see him with a new gimmick or on a different show.

I get this feeling that this will make the battle of the billionaires event into more of a jke then it already is with, Masters having the hold broken by Lashley at WM there will be interference by MAsters causing the match to be a No-contest and therefore noone gets their hair cut.

I would have had Mark Henry come out at wrestlemania....But i'm not sure exactly how much longer he's gonna be out...they said he gained al ot of wieght and looks immobile though....but he's back on the road w/ smackdown gettin ready for return!!!!!

The way I see it is now that the Materlock was broken he can finally move on. I don't think Masters is that bad and he isn't that bad on the mic either. If Benoit goes over to RAW, Masters can wrestle him at house shows and learn to get better. I can see enough in Masters that he can go for the IC Championship or make a Tag Team and go for the titles. I wouldn't want him to go to ECW because he would be wasted as there isn't a mid card title that and to be honest, Lashley isn't going to drop the belt any time soon. I say give Masters a chance to prove himself and let go for mid card titles on either RAW or Smackdown, because i'd rather see him as a mid card champion instead of Umaga (even though i did like to see him wreslte when Estrada was allowed to talk for him).

This shouldn't even be an issue...if you remember history...SHAWN MICHAELS actually broke the Masterlock eons ago. The camera actually caught a closeup of Masters' hands coming apart as HBK fought him. Not to mention these bullshit "unofficial" wins, like in Iraq...seriousdly, the Masterlock Challenge was ******ed from the start, it was merely to build a jacked up nimrod to mid-card status, hopefully he will fall into the ECW fold, where, let's face it, no one will watch him ever again.

Chris Masters is a no talent loser just like Cena, Batista, Snitsky, and others. Ok, so his little masterlock challenges nobody ever cared about. They were inserted into the show as a time wasting no pop crapfest every night. Just like the vince mcmahonnican promos, dead air. Or Khali talking... Masters needs to turn heel, oh I forgot he already is one. yet the crowd doesn'rt even know he's alive...

I dont think we have seen the last of Masters. All Masters needs is a new finisher like cool slam of something that is unique to him, keep the Masterlock and start a good feud with someone. Masters is one of the youngest stars in the WWE at the moment and with that he should team with Kenny Dykstra to get "noticed" with possibly Carlito added into the fold as a heel group of young guys who are sick as shit of being over looked and DEMAND respect from guys like Tits Flair and HBK. This could be awesome.

Maybe throw Orton in as their leader or something.

I would not lower K Dysktra by making him team with a no talent loser like Masters. Dykstra has a ton opf talent and ability & needs a push, and if anything, should team with other underrrated and underappreciated future of wwe supastars like carlito, benjamin, or nitro.
