'Maru and friends' thread of randomness

You should tell your future employer all of the spells that you used to try to get the job. I am sure that they will appreciate how dedicated you are and hire you on the spot.

Yeah I'm just going to guess that this isn't really all that trustworthy, even for the topic at hand

Also, without bringing the "magic is/isn't real" argument into play, I'm pretty sure it'd be completely impossible to change free will, which is what half of the interview is going to be i.e.; the boss/interviewer's opinion of you. The only thing something like this could really do in this situation is affect yourself, and I'm pretty sure that'd have very little effect on the process when you take references/experience/appearance into effect

Seriously, hop on the internet and do some research of your job, and cherry pick the fuck out of how you'll respond to questions based on that, it rarely fails unless you do something like this

don't take this the wrong way but are you trying to get me to say it won't work and I'm an idiot for thinking it does?

No, I'm saying what specifically could it do

Say if you cast a protection spell on yourself, and like, a car door got shot off from an accident and was heading towards you (unlikely premise, but work with it), and a gust of wind suddenly picks up on a clear, calm day that diverges the path of the door juuust enough so it misses you by a few millimeters. You could say the protection spell caused the wind to pick up, since it probably wasn't going to be a very common occurrence on a calm day like that.

How would a spell help you get a job? Is there really anything it could specifically do other than just increase your luck or something?

It doesn't. In the very first spell that he mentioned, you had to do the spell every day until you get a job. Very similar to do a rain dance nonstop until it rains.

Hey now, The other day I did a rain dance and it worked. I was only doing the rain dance for 20 seconds before it started pouring down...could be because I felt it start spitting
