Cena is probably one of the better performers on the roster right now. Not because he is amazing in the ring because he is far from it. He is so because the general package he put out to the WWE fans is interesting. No one is asking you to like him or even respect him.

John Cena Bashing FTW. In all seriousnes I really dont like Cena and i think most people have come across my views of cena on these forums.

I think Cena's aight. It definitely helps him that almost all of his fellow wrestlers in WWE are either washed up or flat-out terrible. But, if I had the choice of any wrestler from either TNA or WWE to build my own promotion around, I'd take AJ Styles over John Cena in a heartbeat.

I can't hate on John Cena. He seems like he really is a nice and humble guy who wants to entertain his fans. He also wants to do what he can for the good of the company, working hard out of the ring to be the WWE's ambassador to the mainstream, as well as granting the most "Make-A-Wish" wishes for sick kids. You never hear anything bad about him in the dirtsheets, and he always puts 100% in the ring.
It's not his fault that the WWE writers make him out to be Superman, or that his moveset is limited (FIVE MOVES OF DOOM ROFLCOPTERLOLLERSKATES)... if you all remember, back when he was a generic guy early in his WWE run who wore the colors of the sports team of the city he was in, he was a damn good wrestler. The fact that he's always feuding with Orton, or HHH, or Big Show... it just shows that the WWE doesn't elevate new people on the Raw brand. Not his fault at all.
That being said, his matches as of late aren't my cup of tea, and I've grown sick of him over the last year, mainly because it's the same old shit with Orton or HHH (two other guys who I like that I've grown sick of), but I don't understand why so many fans hate on the guy.

I am so tired of people saying that whenever Cena has a terrible match it's creative's fault. Or whenever his character starts to get a bit bland, it's creative's fault. I guess that means that we can say that about anyone can't we? I mean, if it applies to Cena, then it should apply for everyone.

Well, the thing is, it sort of is. Cena's not having terrible matches with Orton and Legacy, it's just that we've seen it so much that it's uninteresting. That's why I liked the feud with Miz. It was something new... and it was the first time Cena had been interesting in awhile.
They need to build up some new heels, like Swagger or MVP. An MVP heel turn would do so much for him.
I completely understand where you are coming from, however, creative is always to blame for anything that goes wrong with Cena. ANYTHING. However, if something questionable happens with 'Taker, HBK, HHH, Orton, Mysterio, Edge, and so on, they are just horrible and suck.
I'm tired of the double standard that people around here apply when talking about Cena. He is not that GOOD!
FTW, I do think that his last three encounters (SS, BP, and HIAC) with Orton have been utterly terrible. Especially when you compare the latter two matches to matches of the sort from the past.
I don't want to argue this with you in here, however. We have a Cena thread for that, so if you feel up to it. Address me in there so we will get credit for our posts.

Where did Cena have this terrible match you speak of? As far as a bland character, that's almost uniformly creative's fault. You could probably blame Jericho for his character if it gets bad, because I'm assuming they let him have a lot of leeway with his character.

Oh IDK, Breaking Point, HIAC. Take your pick between the two. They were both sub par, IMO.
I can agree with the character comment and I can also agree that creative can be blamed for horrible finishes such as the clusterfuck at Summer Slam or the Breaking Point finish, however the performers should be blamed for horrible matches.
Also, I really do not want to argue Cena in the Bar Room. Please, if you have anything else to say to me about Cena, do so in the Cena Thread.
I go to college as well and I understand the pressures that college can apply. That is why I always make time for what I have to do. If you see me posting on here, that usually means that my work is done.

You can blame HIAC on the crowd. The match gets infinitely worse when you can't engross yourself into the match, and you can't do that when the crowd is actively working against the pre-defined character definitions of the play you're watching. It's like the crowd pointing out Anne Frank's hiding spot when the Nazis search for her in a play.
Once again, where is his horrible match you've seen? Subpar is one thing, horrible is another. The entirety of the Orton/Trips feud was subpar, Khali/Kane was horrible.
