Major Hip Hop Star To Perform On Raw Next Week

Jack-Hammer

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
WWE has confirmed, as ot maybe an hour or so ago, that hip hop star Flo Rida will be next week's guest star of Raw and will perform on the program. Other details of next week's show haven't been revealed, but word is that it'll be a loaded show as it's the go home show for Battleground and will be the official kickoff to SummerSlam's build up.

What an awful idea. This is exactly why I TiVo raw. So I can fast-forward through garbage like this. Nobody cares. I'm sure there are a few fans out there that will be offended by my remarks but for the most part, nobody cares and will walk away from the set when he is on. This will definitely hurt the ratings

To poster #2, please shut your bitching ass up.

If you don't like Flo Rida, feel free to fuck off when he comes on like some others will and leave it for those who either like him for have to fucking decency to put up with probably 2 minutes of medleys and a bunch of pyro.

With that said, I'm not a fan of Flo Rida, I find it kinda hard to embrace EDM-Hip Hop artists/collabs (I'm more of a straight hip hop guy) but 2-3 mins on a 3 hour show isn't going to kill anyone, talking shit about
This will definitely hurt the ratings

I'll watch his performance on Raw because it's something that doesn't really happen on Raw, the last time I remember is when Chris Jericho and Fozzy performed against Cena, Trademark & Bumpy Knuckles on a Raw which I believe was in 2005(?) And was only to play off their feud they had going on.

Flo Rida will most likely come out at the start of the 2nd hour and perform maybe 3 songs and not even the full song either.

Personally, I've never been into musical acts during the show, but I do see how it would appeal to some of the audience. That said, I just kinda figured this would be just the type of thing to be axed during the cost-cutting frenzy.

Thing thing is that it's bringing another kind of star power to the show that they lack in wrestling talent right now. The idea being that Flo Rida gets a decent payout, and WWE (hopefully) get a few more views that he brings with his fanbase tuning in to see him.

I've never been a fan of these either, and will also probably skip through it, but I can understand why they do it.

Well I wouldn't call Flo Rida a "major" anything let along a "Rapper". When you think of a major name in Hip-Hop right now it's guys like Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, even that cornball brotha Kanye West still has a following. You would have to put Flo Rida on the same level as guys like Macklemore, Machine Gun Kelly, and Mac Miller. And Flo Rida is what you would call pop now since his label reps made him switch his style. The music industry did the same thing to the Black Eyed Peas since Fergie joined the act.

For what it's worth, I'm glad WWE didn't reach out to Justin Bieber.

For whatever reason I was expecting Snoop Dogg before opening this thread. Flo Rida and major don't go together but I can tolerate a 5 minute set. It's good they're doing something different on Raw as I'm sure they would've found a way to waste the 5 minutes.

LOL. WWE is ALWAYS so awful and out of touch with it's music "stars" they put on their shows.

If even ONE person tunes into Raw just because Flo Rida is on, I'd be shocked.

I don't think he really has a fanbase. He makes the kinds of songs that radio might play and people know, but his albums don't sell that well and he doesn't make the type of music that would garner any kind of passionate fanbase. People know who he is, but nobody really cares about him. It won't help ratings, and is a waste of time.

This is why I'm glad I don't stay up late to watch Raw live. I can wake up in the morning and skip through the crap like this. Sorry to any Flo-Rida fans here but...nah, sorry. Not for me.

I can't imagine what Flo Rida has to offer to the show. Obviously a cheap way of attracting a bigger audience of children, who are the only audience that's acceptable to listen to Flo Rida. He's been irrelevant for years now, might as well bring in Kevin Rudolph as his back up singers.

Not to be a hater, but the go-home show for Battleground was on Monday.
