Has anyone tried to relocate a team in franchise mode? If so, am I totally fucking something up, or is this function just totally broken?

I do all the editing, set everything up, and when its time for the first game, everything is just utterly fucked up...Like the stadium accents are all the default ones, and my uniforms are all jacked up and not even close to how I set them up....What the fuck man?

I don't think I've ever tried it in the 2010 version, but I used to get bored and create my own team from scratch in older versions. Upload them into the Franchise mode by taking out another team. (usually the team with the worst jerseys, so the Browns)

From there, I'd just go.

If its not allowing you to relocate a team, then either try making one from scratch and uploading it by taking out the team you wanted to relocate.. or get used to playing with the default features.

I'll look more into this and try relocating a team, and designing everything and get back to you.

I just decided to move the Jets to LA, and become the "Awesome." Next season I will be in LA at he "House of Awesome" hopefully. I'll sim until I play with the new stuff to see if it indeed worked. Of course I am leaving the house for the night in about 5 minutes, so I gotta hope it goes quick.

While I'll remain committed to seeing what I can do with a made-up team. I have never found the ability to create them, entertaining. I simply don't get it.

Mainly for the simple fact that all the logos and names are generic and horrible. Vipers. Bumble Bees. Stupid stuff, really.

I think the one time I made a team and tried really hard to use them, it was the "Comets". Only because thats the only football helmet logo that looked good.

The Stadium designer is okay at best. Not great by any means, but not complete crap. The Sharks default look is probably the best you can ever get though, and thats just bad. Plus, that default stadium looked too fake and futuristic.

Just to update this, I actually really prefer importing a created team over relocating one. It is legitimately like starting a new franchise from scratch, your entire roster is made of shitty rookies. So I released pretty much the whole roster, besides 8 guys, who i had "drafted" and then made the rest of my team from the Free Agent list.

and yes, we were fucking AWFULL for 3 years after that. it only took 3 years though, now we should definately be good enough to make the playoffs.

I just got to my first game in the new stadium. The LA Awesome (formerly NY Jets) have their uniforms I made (Powder Blue and Gold) and play in my custom designed House of Awesome. I don't know if you are still interested in the whole relocating thing, but it was a glitch in your system or something.
