Macho Man to TNA?

Bischoff worked for the WWF in the early 90's as an announcer. It isn't like he'd never seen Vince before in his life. Not only had he met him...Vince had given him a job. It's not like they were strangers.

Wrong again. Bischoff auditioned for an announcer job, but wasn't hired.

Nope, he did not. He did, however, testify as the prosecution's star witness in a trial against Vince McMahon. Vince's defense didn't call him to the stand...the opposing side did.

Except that Hogan's testimony HELPED Vince. Hogan testified that Hogan had never bought, nor been told to use, steroids by Vince McMahon...in the middle of McMahon's trial for distributing steroids. You're really on a roll now.

Oh, so what Bisch did was just business? But, Savage, who wanted to still wrestle...and whom Vince told would only be an announcer/personality if he reamined in the WWF...jumps to the competition, which allows him to wrestle...it's more than business?

I didn't say Vince was right to feel that way, I just explained WHY he feels this way and what the difference is.

What's personal is TOOK the business from Vince. It was Vince's advertiser, and Savage took them. And Savage was one of Vince's "boys." His favorite wrestler while he was a competitor. I understand why Savage left, but I also understand why Vince would take it more personal than most other people.

At least I've provided likely arguments based in solid logic, not "I think Savage may have had sex with a 12 year old and Vince didn't do anything about it."

I don't believe it, the thread is about what if Macho Man could go/do in TNA and it turned into a whole rant about the problems Macho Man is supposed to have with Vince Mcmahon. Like i said before Machon Man as a commentator or manager isn't a bad idea.

i guess steph really snapped into savages slim jim.. but seriously folks... if she had banged macho dont you think HHH would have had him brought him back to make him job to him over and over agian, seeing how hes had how many babies with steph, even if their was a realitionship and im not saying there is any truth to it... could it be steph the one that doesnt want him to come back to the wwe because of the emotional baggage...

First off, what the Hell. I love Macho Man just as much as the next person, but I'm tired of TNA bringing in all these old wrestlers. TNA has some of the best young talent, but they are getting pushed aside for all these old guys, I'm just tired of it.

I also think this is just wishful thinking on Hogans part, I don't think Macho Man would come to TNA, but you never know. The fact that Hogan wants Macho Man in TNA bothers me thought. Why would you want him, what could he really add to your company? Like I said, I love Macho Man, but his time has past, and he would be only taking airtime away from some young talent in TNA, that needs it more than him.

Maybe I'm way off base here, what do you think?

Well if he were brought in strictly for the purpose of working backstage, working on the creative team, working out match finishes and the like, I could see this as a good move if we're to believe he's very good at this aspect of the business.

However, if he were brought in to work in front of the camera, then I'd see this as nothing more than HH bringing in more old friends to get them paid. And who here doesn't think that we'd eventually see MM square off with Jay Lethal in a MM impersonation contest? Or maybe even a gimmick infringement angle like DX with Hornswoggle? Point is that overall this could only end badly for TNA as yes, it would take even more focus off younger talent and place it directly on someone who indeed HAD his time in the spotlight.

What's so amazing to me in all of these discussions about TNA is this: At some point in their careers guys like HH, MM, Bischoff, Russo, Sting, Nash, Angle, Jarrett, and the like needed to get their opportunity to become stars. Here we are more than 20 years later and these guys STILL won't step OUT of that spotlight and offer it to someone younger, more deserving, and in NEED of that spotlight in order to continue to build their brand and the business overall. With that said my question is this one. What happens when HH and his pals FINALLY move on and we as fans are left with guys largely unknown and untested? What then? Does TNA just fold up their tent or wallow in absolute mediocrity as they try to pick up the pieces and rebuild a brand left in shambles after the fact?

TNA does not need to bring in Macho Man considering he was already there a while back.... Oh wait.... That was Jay Lethal....

Anyways, back on topic. If Hogan didn't give a significant jump in ratings, then what makes them think Macho Man will? There isn't a lot he could bring to the table in TNA, at least not in the ring. He could possibly help mentor young guys backstage or something. I'm ok with TNA bringing Macho Man in for any role other than something onscreen because the young guys need to be the focus, not legends who are decades past their prime. TNA will not be able to function in the long run if they don't make some more future stars. Giving World Championship shots to Macho Man is a step in the wrong direction and I hope they do NOT go that route if he comes to the organization.
