The battle lines are drawn as Locke puts his plan into action, which could finally liberate him from the island.

Previously on Lost...

On the island, Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sawyer set off to rescue Desmond. On the way there, young Jacob confronts Hurley and demands the ashes of his body that Ilana took. He places them in a campfire and explains that, once the fire burns out, they will not see him again. The rest of the group arrives and can see Jacob. He explains that he brought them to the island to replace him as its protector. Jack agrees to take up the mantle. At the barracks, Ben, Miles and Richard get C4 from Ben's old house but are confronted by Widmore and Zoe. The man in black arrives and Widmore and Zoe hide, Miles flees into the jungle, and Ben and Richard decide to talk to the man in black. However, the man in black attacks Richard and confronts Ben, learning from him where Widmore is hiding. The man in black kills Zoe and agrees to spare Penny's life if Widmore tells him why he came back. As Widmore whispers the information to the man in black, Ben shoots and kills Widmore in retaliation for Alex's death. The man in black and Ben travel to the well where Desmond should be, but they find it empty. He reveals to Ben that Widmore brought Desmond to the island to use as a "failsafe" to keep him stuck on the island. However, he plans to use Desmond's resistance to electromagnetism to destroy the island.

God, what a great ride these last few episodes have been.

No idea what's going to happen tonight and I'm psyched about this. Apparently spoilers have been making the rounds on the internet, so DON'T FUCKING SPOIL ANYTHING PLEASE.

Also, thank god Zoe won't be around for this episode. A poor woman's Tina Fey + Bad acting = Not a good combination.

The whole thing was just a dream inside an autistic child's brain. Or at least if it was, I'd save up to hire someone to kill every Lost writer.

There's a theory that Widmore might not be dead. Remember when Ben met with Widmore in Season 4, and they talked about how they "Can't kill each other, because of the rules?"

Of course, now that Jacob's dead, I'm not sure if any of those rules exist anymore.

As soon as this ends I'm rewatching the entire series.

This going to ba a sad night. I've been hooked on this show ever since it premiered, and I'm going to hate to see it go. I haven't been this upset over a series finale ever since The Sopranos and The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. I just hope the ending to this doesn't piss me off like The Sopranos did.

I'm happy Kate,Jack,and Sawyer are still alive. The final showdown tonight should be awesome.

Also, thank god Zoe won't be around for this episode. A poor woman's Tina Fey + Bad acting = Not a good combination.

I prefer his character on Flash Forward. Too bad that's getting the axe, yet they're renewing V. While I enjoy both, Flash Forward is a much cooler show.
