The fans really did her wrong last night it was pretty pathetic to say the least.

I enjoyed Cryme Tyme coming out but it got out of hand quick. I really felt bad for Lita but you could tell she had fun with it :)

So at least she had some fun at the end but I really wish the fans could have shown some support after all she has done for the WWE.

At one time Lita was the best solid wrestler in the womens division but after breaking her neck she got kinda sloppy looking out there. But anyone who has seen Lita video of when she was with Essa Rios and later, Team XTreme will see that she was just as good as the Hardys!

Good luck to Lita and see ya sometime in the future because you KNOW she'll be back eventually.

It was really sad to see how the fans treated Lita last night. People have such short memories, they only remember stuff from a year or so. Back in the days of the "attitude" era, Lita was by far the best women's wrestler out there, and even better and more technically sound than some of the men. What she said on RAW last week is true, she revolutionalized the Women's division. The struggling Women's division is going to crap out fast now, with only 2 or 3 women who can actually wrestle a decent match.

Yes, Lita was a part of a storyline where she was made out to be a ****e and easy, but no one can deny what she's done for wrestling.

I remember when i first saw lita she came out with essa rios and was popular at the time wasnt really wrestling and her matches with Trish were classic its sad to see another WWE wrestler just leave like that its makin the woman division look terrible shes done what shes done for the business i'm hopin she doesnt go to TNA and sticks with her band.

For the record, the storyline was only done because of what happened when she was screwing around on Matt Hardy..hre real life boyfriend.
And yes, she did revolutionize the women's divison, but, there are quite a few women who could potentially go for the gold...Mickie, Jillian, Melina...yes, she IS a decent wrestler, Trinity, Victoria, Beth Pheonix and there are plenty of indy women they could sign..i.e. Nattie Neidhart

Well the storyline was done because Matt let all this dirty laundry air out on the internet. WWE definitely ran with it overboard IMO.

I'm not saying that there aren't women right now who could go for the gold, but they aren't ones who have been showing what they got. What have we been seeing for the past while? Lita vs. Mickie. Yes at one point Melina was in it too, but she definitely needs work to get up to championship caliber. Jillian is a decent wrestler, but she's doomed on SD where she's just eye candy and a random bra and panties match wrestler. Beth is injured, Trinity isn't a wrestler by far, so that leaves us with the usual suspects: Mickie, Torri, Candace and Victoria. Ashley and Crystal are in the same court as Jillian right now. Yes, the WWE can sign people, but they aren't. Women's wrestling isn't what it used to be. Yes, there are women who can carry the gold, but I don't see any of them (except for Mickie James, if she gets some good competition), who could do what Lita did for wrestling.

That's one of the problems with the Women's Division. That the division doesn't have a lot of stars that can really impact and change it, like Lita, Trish, Chyna, etc. If it did we wouldn't be here complaining about it.

Just days before she walked into Survivor Series to defend her coveted Women’s Championship against Mickie James, Lita informed the world that this match would be her last. After seven successful and controversial years in WWE, Lita announced her retirement from sports-entertainment.

By Sunday night, before many WWE fans could even fully grasp the weight of Lita’s announcement, the match had come and gone. Lita was no longer Women’s Champion. No longer a WWE Diva. No longer side-by-side with World Tag Team Champion Edge.

Amid the fans in attendance in Philadelphia, sects of Lita loyalists in the Wachovia Center shared an emotional mantra: “Thank you, Lita!”

And, by the time the bell rang to signify the end of the match, it was clear that WWE would be missing a star.

“I’ll have a lot of memories with me and a lot of experiences with me but I’m ready to keep moving ahead,” Lita confessed. “I’ve been looking around the locker room and there aren’t many people left that were here when I started. It’s a sad time, but I know this is right.”

Even after Lita’s exhaustive post-loss in-ring tirade, it seemed her truest fans were present for the ex-Diva’s final WWE match. This augmented Lita’s strong sentiment for her supporters that have stuck by her through thick and thin, good times and bad.

Perhaps the greatest of her fans is the Rated-R Superstar, who lingered behind the curtain at the Wachovia Center during Lita’s championship defense. Once the defeated champion made her way out of the arena, the two stood together backstage for one last time.

“[Edge] is so close to me and he has heard me weigh out these options and talk about my feelings,” Lita said. “He is supportive and he understands my decision.”

Despite their deep bond, Lita candidly explained that her intentions to leave sports-entertainment began in mid-2005 with the onset of very personal issues involving Edge. When Lita’s relationship with the Rated-R Superstar became publicized and broadcast on WWE programming each week, the former Women’s Champion experienced a drastically sharp transformation.

From being verbally harassed by people in the street, to receiving hate mail and having objects thrown at her, Lita described the difficulty of balancing her emotions on a personal level with those cultivated within her career.

“It felt like even if I was walking the dog there was going to be someone yelling ‘You screwed Matt’ out the window,” she recalled. “It really took a toll on me; it affected every aspect of my life. Although that’s passed now, the weight of that situation stays with me every day.”

She added, “I feel like there is no way for me to escape the whole feeling that I have from being involved in such a public affair. There’s no other alternative for me than to walk away.”

By no means, however, does Lita have any regrets or ill-will towards her career. A four-time Women’s Champion and known for being in the first-ever women’s Steel Cage Match in WWE, Lita fought through multiple injuries to be able to claim her spot in sports-entertainment history.

“I’ve had an awesome career and I’m more confident in the ring today than I ever have been,” Lita claimed. “But, I’ve made my mark. There is no hidden meaning behind my leaving; this is just me needing to take a break.”

That break, Lita said, will be her opportunity for things she couldn’t otherwise do under the Superstars’ travel schedule. Outside the squared-circle, the former Women’s Champion is a songwriter and guitar and bass player for her band the Luchagors – whose shirt Lita wore in her final match at Survivor Series. In addition to devoting more time to her musical passion, the retiree plans to act in her friends’ theatrical productions.

“Now is the time to try new things for me, and to not regret things I didn’t do later on,” she said. “I’m just going to roll with it and see where this new direction in life takes me, and I’m open to whatever possibilities do or don’t come my way.”

Lita embarked upon her WWE journey in February 2000 and fought to continue it following a neck injury that required a 17-month absence from the ring. Now, she is eager for the rest of her life away from sports-entertainment. As she continued to coolly address the culmination of her career, Lita admitted that “never” doesn’t necessarily always mean “never” – especially in WWE.

“Coming in and showing a new Diva that she’s not hot stuff would be fun,” she mused. “I have the utmost respect for the amazing experiences I have had here and I am keeping the door open. I’ll figure that out when it comes.”

I think the interview really sheds some light on why she left and is a great momento to Lita. It's reflected about what I was saying about stars in the Women's Divison.

Lita has some parallels with Bret Hart where a once strong fan favourite has become a hated heel, and some fans are so petty that they don't appreciate all the good things they did until after they've left and all the angles they were involved in have faded away from the screens. It's a pity that these people can't put kayfabe aside while someone is retiring from the ring and recognise all the things Lita has brought to women's wrestling in her spells with ECW and WWF/E.

I wonder how long it will be before people start getting nostalgic for Lita and Trish? Lita is obviously really hurt by the reactions of certain "fans" towards her after her relationship with Edge became public. Lita was a good heel and her and Edge were a great team, but I'll always remember her most for her 2 years with the Hardy Boyz from May 2000-April 2002.

Lita was by far one of the great women wrestlers in the WWE. She brought the women's division back from extinction when she started competing. And she did open the door for the likes of Trish, Gail Kim, Miss Jackie, and many others. I always loved seeing that firery redhead no matter what she was doing. The way she went out at survivor series with the cryme tyme thing just goes to show how much of a professional she is and how much class she has to give the fans a great show.

Thank you Amy Dumas for nearly seven years of a hot, sexy, and very athletic wrestler and Diva who pushed it to the limit everytime she was
in the ring. And good luck with The Luchagors!!!

And if you ever feel the desire for competition again please come back!
To the WWE not TNA!

I just read that Lita wasn't very happy with the way she left. And, I can't blame her. Sure, she was heel but they really didn't have to do all of that.

I love Lita, and she will be missed. No Diva on Raw wears those cleavage showing shirts better than she does. I wasnt very into her during her face run, But man She made one Awesome Heel. and truly made me a fan. She deserved a much better exit than the one she recieved at SS, at the very least WWE could have put together one of those awesome video packages showing highlights of her career. I wouldnt be suprised to see her show up in TNA, I say put her with LAX.

I love Lita! Hate to see her go. She did a great job as a heel, and I hope to see her again--whether on WWE, TNA or wherever.

WWE did not have to treat Lita like garbage on her last day. of course she wouldnt have been happy with the way she left. They made Trish to look a million bucks when she left. 'There was never anyone better' Yeah alright i can name 5 women wresters who are better. Back to Lita, if anyone deserved a good sendofff it shoudl have been her, she did so much and yet none of the fans care to even remember. what lita does outside the ring should have nothing to do with her professional life. im sure a lot of you have cheated on your girlfriend or boyfriend. but whatever things probably wont change.. i sure am glad Victoria is back in the title picture, by rights she should have the title, but it should be a good feud ;)
