Does anyone know what's so good about him ? He was nominated for 8 grammies and most people act like he's a musical God. But personally i dont see the appeal in him. He sounds like a frog when he sings and most of his songs are terrible. So would anybody like to explain his so called greatness ?

I listen to a little rap. But i seriously dont see why he's blew up over the last year.

He has made more songs in a year then almost anyone in history, he raps, plays the guitar, and can do soft rock songs. I am not a rap fan by any means but this guy is very talented. His voice might not be the greatest, but no rappers are. Wayne is more successful then many singers of today, and deserves all those nominations. This is coming from a hard rock fan to lol.

I think he's annoying. The best song he's ever been a part of is "Let it Rock" and he even made that suck.

"Let it Rock" wasn't even his song. He just did one verse, which is my least favorite verse in the song.

Lil Wayne's new stuff isn't that good, its his second album (and some of his first), plus his mixtapes, that got him noticed. He is very good, but he's hit or miss to be honest. He kinda just starts throwing things out there too see if they work, and he can do it. He's very good, but it all depends on what he's trying to do.

i hate him seriously. i dunno why every one likes him. and just me i love my rap/hip hop genre

I just dont see the appeal of his music. It's all about sex or crime. And as i said before , he sounds like a frog when he's singing/rapping. Let it Rock is a great song and he almost killed it because of his crappy singing.

there is only one song of his worth listening to and that is hydrolics. but it features other people so yeah.

He called himself the greatest rapper alive since the greatest rapper (Jay-Z) retired. I don't think either of them are even close, although Jay-Z does make my top 10. I listen to a lot of rap, and it's almost all southern rap, and he is by far, not the best. That would be Z-Ro, Trae, SLAB, UGK, everyone else, then Lil Wayne. His voice annoys me and his lyrics are terrible.
