They said Hardy would never show up in TNA when he left WWe and Brian Pillman wasn't meant to be destined for WWF when he appeared on ECW after being 'fired' by WCW. Let's be honest, I'm surprised that Vince pushed the shoot boat out as far as it went but referencing Impact would have been that one step to far. I'm in no way indicating he will show up but these things have occurred in the past.
As I always stated, the stronger the competition, the better the overall product for us grap fans. I'd love to see CM Punk in Impact.
Who would you want him to feud with?
Start of simple; AJ, Joe & Daniels. Punk has worked with all of these guys and put on absolute clinics. If you want to illustrate 'wrestling matters', you start this way. Hold of any feud with RVD, Angle, Sting (Hardy?) etc until he has 'proven' himself. Impact need to portray themselves as legitimate WWe contenders, hotshotting CM straight to the main event immediately screams 'WANNABE!'. A Joe style introduction in the XDivision could be a great bedding in position for him.
Heel or Face?
Heel. Works better for his natural character and the guys you want to see him lock up with are predominantly faces.
Should he keep his name/gimmick?
Of course, he should emphasise it to the nth degree (it was nice to see Low Ki, another guy Punk has worked excellent programs with in the past, back this Thursday - rather than Kaval or Senshi[t])
How would you have him debut?
Something along the lines of a hybrid of these two promos -

Couple points of emphasis: Keeping his name. He's the world's best wrestler and he wants to work were wrestling matters. Past history with XDivision guys to start off his initial program logically.
