Lana and Dolph?

Uh, what, why, and how? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but I was shocked to see her come out and plant a smooch on Dolph. Kind of leads me to believe that she's not splitting from Rusev for long. This will probably lead to a program between Dolph and Rusev, in which I see Lana eventually turning on Ziggler.

I could very well be way off base here though. What do you personally think this odd relationship is leading to?

Indeed, what is this relationship leading too?

It would be one thing if Lana planted a kiss on Cena or a face who is in the middle of a major push, but for her to go from Rusev to 'It's too bad, he's not good enough to win meaningful matches' Ziggler is just odd and out-of-character. If this is just a ploy, why? Ziggler doesn't have any gold right now and on a booking level, is beneath Cena and Rusev.

I think she should've stayed with Rusev. Gave his character so much more appeal.

I think it could be good...look how it helped AJ catapult on up..dolph is gold with fans and so is Lana...

Are trying to progress lana's wrestling as well yet???

She will come out with dolph next week with no accent and her hair down like in her swimsuit pictures....

She will tell everybody that the accent was fake and she used rusev to get her foot in the door!!!

Where is this thing going? I have no idea, it's weird. You would think that they would have waited a week or so before having her come out with another guy.

One minute she's in the ring telling Rusev she cares about him, and only said "I quit" to protect him, and 45 minutes later she's kissing Ziggler. Doesn't make one bit of sense at all to me.

To men this might seem like natural behavior but I'm a woman and it's not. So either she's lying to Rusev, which makes no sense because of how long she's been with him, or she's lying to Ziggler on Rusev's behalf. I'll wait to see what happens this week and next and see if she goes after any of the other chamber participants.

If she does then she's helping Rusev, if she just stays with Ziggler then yea I have no clue.

I think it's much more simpler than all that. She wants the D... I remember Dolph's ex-girlfriend saying that the reason behind their break-up was that Dolph was too athletic during sex. Maybe the Ravishing Russian wants to ravish that athleticism.

Or maybe this is just the first step towards a heel turn. Dolph + Woman = #HeelZiggler. Meanwhile, an unstable and vulnerable Rusev will soon become Bray Wyatt's next target.

I think what will happen is that Lana will flirt with each member of the Elimination Chamber up until the event, which will get in their heads, then Lana will turn on them all at the Chamber and side with Rusev once again. Rusev will walk out as Intercontinental Champion.

This really makes a lot of sense or something along the lines that she is going to use jealousy to bring back the beast he wants was because his losing streak to Cena has made him SAWFT!! I am not sure really where all of this is headed but I just don't see WWE putting Lana with Dolph (the modern day Boy toy......I guess..........who would've guessed that a man with a HUGE underbite could become a sex symbol)

I'm wondering if it was intentionally awkward, to hint that Lana is going to play the field in an effort to get the IC title on Rusev.

The smooch was very "tee hee" for lack of a better description, kind of like when a Japanese girl kisses her pet poodle. Dolph went to the ropes and motioned like he was going to hold them open, and Lana just made her own way through a different section of rope. They both casually strolled away as though they were about to drink Dr. Pepper and play some Mario Brothers.

Either they're not very good actors, or they're awesome at playing two characters with zero physical chemistry trying to force a rapport of physical chemistry.

Yes, that's a possibility. Many folks seem to feel Lana doesn't belong anywhere but with Rusev, which is based mostly on the fact she hasn't been anywhere else since entering WWE. I could see her leading Dolph on, pretending to be with him and betraying him, leaving Dolph open to a Rusev attack.....and a Lana return to the side of the human cannonball.

Of course, it would be nice to have WWE explain how in hell she picked Dolph in the first place. They seem to have skipped a step in having no history between them to suddenly kissing in mid-ring. Then again, it might not be explained at all.....was the Bella twins reunion ever explained?

If I were to guess, though, I'd say Lana isn't secretly working with Rusev. There doesn't seem to be anything covert about him; he's as obvious as a punch in the mouth.

But having Rusev become jealous of Lana's relationship with another man could add a badly needed dimension to Rusev's character. So far, he presents as more machine than human and it might be fun to see him interact with Lana on a personal level. So many folks on this forum presume Rusev's run is over now that he's (presumably) done with Cena.....I'd like to see something new developed for him aside from the same old anti-American routine.

Alas!! I'm happy right now. Because I thought I'm the only one who thought this is going weird. But phew after reading all these comments I can breathe a bit free.

There's no point in Lana pairing up with Dolph. Its more like Rosa splitting up with Fandango and eats Adam Rose in the ring.

They should've probably kept Lana out of TV till the Elimination Chamber and made the fans to miss her more and then probably build up some kinda potential feud or just a heat between Dolph and Rusev, and Lana to take over Dolph's side. Anyhow let's see where this leads to..

An intergender tag match with Lana and Ziggler facing Rusev and a NXT Diva that hasn't debuted yet at Summerslam.

I can see WWE dragging out this storyline for a while. Rusev costs Ziggler the IC title at Elimination Chamber, Ziggler costs Rusev the MITB Briefcase at MITB, Rusev and Ziggler finally have a one-on-one match at Battleground where Rusev wins with help of the debuting NXT diva, then goes the inevitable feud ending intergender tag match at Summerslam.
