Kenny Dykstra and future stars

Dark Match Jobber
Thought the last name was funny. Anyways, I saw him on Raw tonight against Ric Flair. I really hadn't seen this kid. He put on a good match and beat Flair clean. Pretty impressive and apparently the WWE will be pushing this kid. Not to mention he knows how to get heat from the fans. What do you guys think about him?
Theres probably another thread about this going on, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it. Who do you guys think will lead the WWE in the future? IMO it will be Kennedy, Carlito, Nitro, MVP, Kenny, CM Punk.

I like all those wrestlers and think they all will be big stars, except one.

M.V.P

I no wwe will push him cause he as already been in an inferno match but i just dont see him with a wwe title.

Kenny should get a HUGE push!

Anyone else agree>

Kenny, CM Punk, Nitro, Carlito and Kennedy will be the ones that lead them on into the future. I haven't seen much of MVP so i can't say much on him. But Carlito was part of the group that was big in RAW last year, he sort of helpped John Cena and Chris Jericho carry that time when there were no big names that held a title (By big I mean Triple H, HBK, Taker, Kane type names) John Cena was decent but im slightly off topic. Kenny is showing skill in the matches against Ric Flair. CM Punk is probably the best of the New Guys on WWECW, his heel turn should be interesting. Kennedy is showing that he can run with the big boys with this feud with Taker. I can see a good future for Nitro, he just needs to have a proper finisher.

But I like the way that they are developing these guys. they at least need to have a good run as a Heel, before they can truely be shown as the future of WWE. Carlito has had that time, so he has the depth behind him to be the future of the company.

While you didn't suggest this i will give my prediction of who the first out of this group will win the top tier title in WWE. This will probably be Carlito. This is dependant on Injuries and other such events.

Im sorry, I forgot to mention Shelton. All these guys are the future. Everyone is unique in their own way. CM Punk is without a doubt the most loved. I think the situation with MVP is that they have to let him showcase his talent. He really can't against Kane. He needs someone his own size that will push him to the next level. And I imagine when he is a top name, he will be the Kane sort of figure, not holding the world title but still being important. These guys are in for something big. All they have to do is wait their turn and not mess up their chances for success. One of the things I like most about them is that they are not all big and muscular. They are just the right size. Kennedy, CM Punk, Shelton, MVP, Carlito, Kenny, and Nitro: get ready to become the biggest names in the WWE!!

I think they will give Kenny a solid bush but not a superstar push. I dont think he look's big enough for the WWE main event scene. He's about the same size as H.B.K. which make's him look tiny compared to H.H.H. and Cena.

Actually Kenny Dykstra (I don't know if this has been pointed out, but it sounds similar to former MLB player Lenny Dykstra, a member of the '86 World Champion New York Mets) is built a little bit like Edge, only not quite as ripped. He stands 6'4", and that height certainly played to his advantage when it came to winning over Vince McMahon. I would say that height and age were probably top factors when it came to keeping him on Raw. IMO, there are other members of the Spirit Squad that are every bit as talented (Johnny and Mikey), but they didn't have these factors in their favor. I hope that we'll get to see them back on the main roster soon.

in 10 years, i still see Cena and Orton as top superstars on the WWE. I see the futur of the WWE like that: Cena, Orton, Kennedy, Nitro, Lashley, CM Punk, Carlito. Theses guys are going to be the top main eventers. I can see Kenny as Nitro is right now. I hope MVP will not stay long because he sucks!

Maybe turn Kenny Dykstra face and have him form an aliance with his real life fiancee, Mickie Jamies.

Ya kenny will definetly be a big player in like 5 years, but for now he is only 20 years old. He is already being pushed heavily for a 20 year old. beating ric flair, and geting involved with rated rko and dx. I like him a lot, but no his last name. IMO they should of just left it as Doane.

In terms of the next ten years of wrestling, the following guys will be on top: Edge (33-years-old...we'll see if he can go another decade), Cena, Orton, Kennedy, and Lashley. The reasons are obvious: the McMahon's love their size and charisma. Edge is a great heel, so is Orton, Cena looks to be improving, Kennedy is just a great performer, and Lashley is getting progressively worse each match.

Personally, the guy's who deserve to be the future of wrestling are Kennedy, Kenny (it'll take me some time to begin calling him Dykstra), Orton (I know he's average in the ring, but man!!! what a great heel), and the greatest performer of them all: CM PUNK. We'll see. I don't think the McMahons are that impressed by him. Shows how much they appreciate talent

They had best push Mercury when he gets back, he took a shot to the schnoz. Personally I think he is a better wrestler than Nitro. I never cared much for Nitro, but he is getting better, I just didn't get the whole point in having Edge win, when it should've been Nitro.

But, hey that's just me. Maybe the so called "smart" marks thought Edge winning was a good idea, and that's why the idiot card writers decided to let Edge win it.

It would've only made sense for Nitro to win, since Cena is facing...hmmm Kevin Federline! Just idiotic card writing, IMHO!

They should push Joey Mercury, but they should change his character if he is going to be on a different show from Nitro. They should base it on the man behind Mercury, Adam Birch. They could turn him into a smooth-talking stone cold white pimp daddy playa! This guy is the resident boot knocka of the WWE, having hooked up with several of the Divas already, the latest being recently released Amy Zidian (Jimmy Wang Yang's valet). Since WWE likes to incorporate real-life occurances into some of their characters (like what happened to Edge & Lita), I think this would be a great idea. Joey Mercury could really get over if he did something like this - just going out there and being himself.

The future of Wrestling is going to be bad compared to Today!
With many companies rising and WWE not giving a "F" about their young talent then these superstars will not rise! WWE needs to get Hulk Hogan and so many other OLDIES out and bring in more Young Effective Talent in the Tryouts....and if they do this then we gonna see some real WWE!

Kennedy: Needs the US title or the Tag Title Quick and needs a Quick Big PUsh! He has the Charisma and can Heat the Fans up!

Carlito: Is he a playboy? why is he always getting Storylines with Diva's? Carlito needs a Huge Major Push for the WWE Title and needs to turn heel.

Nitro: Nitro is total Talent as well he needs to go for the WWE Title right now! maybe they can start a Feud Carlito and nitro for the WWE Title!

MV-Porter: This guy is full of crap i cant even get his name! MVP is really not WWE style! he needs to get 3-4 more runs then outta the WWE!

Kenny: If he joins the Rated-RKO and go for one run as a under-dog then surely in his coming Decade Dykstra will be good.

CM Punk: ECW was all about fighting jumping throwing Suicide and Blood! Now its just another Smackdown so i Actually dont Care!

Is everyone forgetting that Kennedy is actually in his late 30's? I know hes good and deserves a run at the top but he won't be there for too long.

I think Jeff Hardy is another guy that could/should be put in the main event scene soon enough. Money In The Bank perhaps?

I already think Lashley has been pushed too far too soon, but Im sure he will end up with a major title run. I can also see the WWE messing up CM Punk. An ill timed heel turn perhaps?

I heard thar the reason kennys second name was changed is because wwe already have a doane on the roster - referee jack doan, still i wish they had made it something better than dykstra. Carlito and orton will be the top heels in wwe in next 5 years and cena will be the top face.(argghhhh)

My comments to your comments:

To my knowledge, Kennedy is only 30. You can never guess how long a wrestler will go, but I'm confident this guy will be in the spotlight for another decade.

Jeff Hardy should not go anywhere near a Heavyweight Title. I got sick of his performances years ago. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that the guy has some of the biggest balls in wrestling. But man...is he sloppy or what? You wanna talk about a limited move-set? Look no further than Jeff Hardy - the far weaker performer of the two Hardys. Great charisma and definitely over with the fans...but being at the top just isn't for him.

Months ago I was rooting for Lashley. He's a talented dude whose style would've done either Heavyweight title a year from now justice. Then he moved over to ECW and showed me how awkward he looks in an ECW ring. Maybe it's cuz I haven't seen him put up against a greak worker in a while...but he performs best when put in front of a Benoit, a Regal, or another technician. I dislike him the more I see him. People are saying Cena was pushed too fast...Lashley epitomizes someone pushed too fast, too soon.

I feel some of these so-called future WWE stars could or will shine in TNA.
For instence Shelton Benjamin and Johnny Nitro would shine in a revamped X Divison. Randy Orton, when the WWE gets tired of his shit, they will release him and he'll be THE man to lead TNA to the promised land IMO.

I agree that Lashley was pushed too fast, too soon, AND on the wrong show! As for CM Punk, I see good things for him. If the WWE messes this up, I think it'll be by giving him the title way too soon or a heel turn at the wrong time.

The tna fan has spoken randy orton will be god to tna, lead them to the land of a rating above 1.3. I think orton would be a dick no mater where he would be. but back to the topic. Kenney was really buff back in ovw but i think they had him slim down for the SS i like him and i see great things for him down the road. MVP is a POS and will be gone in two years tops. Kennedy is good but i think its about time for him to make the move to raw i think after this undertaker thing is over he might get buried on SD. CM Punk is just the best, I saw him perform and he was just fucking fantastic, if he can survive the implosion of what truely is Extreamly Crappy Wrestling at this point, He will be gold for the wwe in years to come. Carlito I think, will be wwe champ in some form within the next 2 years. And so you ECw fans do piss on me i enjoyed ECW when it was good, Now, its crap.

The future of WWE will not be M.V.P. I carnt see that guy going anywhere. I dont like him for a fact. Kenny is formerly a Spirit Squad cheerleader so that doesnt do well to his lastest gimmick plus in that Flair match, He looked a bit slow. Johnny Nitro might get somewhere. Him and Jeff Hardy put on a hell of a combination. Someone said ^^^ that Jeff Hardy shouldnt be put in the main event and I totally agree. Jeff, I dont think is a singles competitor. He is so much better in the Hardyz as is Matt. I think people got bored of Matt ages ago. Plus, The Hardyz are much better known than if they wrestle in singles competition. Whoever thinks Randy orton is the future of WWE is wrong IMO. Orton I think will get fired sooner or later and if he doesnt then main event status might not be that good for him. Shelton Bengamin I think has the capability to be the future if they pushed him but he is without a storyline at the moment.

the people who will lead the wwe for the next decade of wrestling is edge, orton, kennedy, mvp, cm punk, kenny, and johnny nitro. all of these guys are great at what they do and they can make their wrestling matches exciting. very athletic and most of them have great mic skills. my favorite out of them all is orton though and i hope that he will be the triple h of 2010 and edge will be the shawn michaels. they should have a nice rivalry in those years. and possibly kenny

6 heels and 1 good guy ehh? well i know, they could move some of them face.

this is what i dont understand, yes. a heel character has to be pretty good, and cant break down, because constant boo's would just get depressing unless the right person is playing the role. but why is it that almost every face in the wwe gets NO respect from smarks? i duno, i do like most of those guys tho. they all will be good, maybe not mvp. but the rest should become the leaders. i would also add shelton benjamine and cena on the list.

you need to face it...

cena isnt going anywhere. he sells and he has charisma. his storyline will have to change sooner or later, but he is still young. and unless he gets a "Rock" oppourtunity and drops wrestling all together for something else. he'll be the main face along with CM Punk, and i think shelton when he gets pushed and prolly will turn face. he is just too likeable when pushed as the good guy (Tripple H vs. Benjamine)

Lets Not Forget One Thing Important Thing, Hhh Loves Cm Punk. So Punk Will Be A Huge Star Down The Line.

Kenny Has The Tools To Be Very Good.

Carlito Is The Man.

Nitro, Mercury Show That The Wwe Has Guys Who Can Perform In The Ring.

Kennedy Is Just An Instant Star.

Mvp When He Feuds With Someone Other Than Kane Will Probably Surprise Some People With How Good He Can Be.

Dont Forget The Coming Soon Daniel Rodimer, Supposedly A Leaner Version Of Batista With Some Of Edge Thrown In.

Kenny Dykstra is a pretty good talent and he has good attitudes backstage. He is engaged to Alexis Laree, so maybe they can turn Mickie heel, bring in more Women for the Womens division, and pair Laree as Kenny's on-screen girlfriend.
