Well it's not like it hasn't been done before (or close to it that is). I know it's blasphemy to remind people of this but Flair's last title reign started and ended on the same night. But yeah that would be kind of lame. I'm expecting it too though.

But flair would have already had the record at that stage i would imagine yeah? Plus on top of that when you say started and ended on the same night i imagine (based on the wording) that there is a break between the match he wins and then loses. For cena to win his 17th and be cashed in on he would have to be in a gruelling match or suffer a post match beatdown. In either of those two scenarios there would be no feel good moment (or at the very least the feel good moment is ruined by the beatdown) and I cant imagine WWE have the idiocy to ruin that kind of moment when they would probably prefer to go the whole confetti route and probably drag flair out for a hug. I get that you said you wouldnt be surprised but surely when you lay out the three possible scenarios you cant expect anything other than a celebration whenever it eventually happens?

Well Flair didn't win his sixteenth title. Kevin Nash just handed it to him and Flair lost it later in the night.

You underestimate WWE's stupidity.

look i was going to tag along something like "surely if you present the three options to an average individual they pick the feel good celebration*

big assumption on creative department having average intelligence*" but i figured at this point when deciding on which path a story will take you have to try and gauge the level of logic that creative has at this point. But seriously its john freaking cena why would they screw over his moment, he's the guy the made and not some indy god

Side note: I'm pretty sure its you that mentions that when cena retires he'll pretty much be referred to as the greatest wwe superstar of all time by commentary. However, there is no way (at this point in time) that cena could have any claim to a second HoF induction could he? He doesnt have his version of the hoursemen (yet, maybe one day, who knows, etc.) so is that going to be a way that WWE can have like some network special where people debate who is the greatest of all time and you dont have a clear answer because technically you can make arguments for both

Do you think they finally pull the trigger on Sasha Banks's heel turn after Bayley wins the title at SummerSlam (obviously an assumption)? They've been teasing it for awhile now.

They probably will with Cena, but I'm sure we'll have to hear about Flair too.

Either there or the night after. No reason not to.

Do you think Sami will get to the point of Daniel Bryan and being someone that fans just are dying to see pushed and he will get that actual underdog run? I think he could thrive in that and it would be quite a Mania moment to see him Helluva kick someone and end the show as champion after a long storyline of getting there.

Elias Simpson is now simply Elias. What is up with Vince's obsession with shortening people's names? If Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels wrestled today, they'd be refereed to as Bret and Shawn respectively.

Similar to it but not on Bryan's level.

I have no idea and it gets really old, especially whem people are going to call him Elias Samson anyway.

I'm watching a bunch of stuff from Angle's debut year. People talk about how great he was in the ring to start and how natural he was...fuck that. His ability to work a crowd is veteran-like right away. I just listened to him deliver "Even though I suplexed and 82 year old pregnant woman..." with complete sincerity. He also used silence so effectively, as well.

Brock has better accolades, but has there ever been a better rookie than Kurt as a total package?

With the feud upcoming between Wyatt and Bálor, could we see Wyatt reunite with Harper and Rowan, and Bálor with Gallows and Anderson to form a feud between Wyatt Family and Bálor Club?
And if that's the case, who then who would be the ones feuding with Breezango, or would the Wyatt Family reunion just happen after?

This will probably happen but it makes the Orton feud even more lame. Dude spent like 6 months trying to break Wyatt down from the inside even dismantling He family then Bray just puts it back together just like that. Then again this is Bray the guy who seems to have the memory of an ant and just loses a feud then goes to the next guy without giving a damn

It isn't anything new sadly, as this isn't the first time the Family separated; hell, Rowan and Harper were on opposite sides of the Authority vs. WWE Survivor Series match.
WWE just doesn't seem to get how to book any of these 3. Wyatt unfortunately was nothing more than a transitional champ from Cena to Orton, Harper's run with the IC title didn't last (though his ladder match at TLC with Ziggler was fun), and Rowan hasn't done anything.

I've been hearing rumors of a possible Women's Division show, similar to 205 Live, after the Mae Young Classic ends, with mention of them even introducing Women's Tag Division. Do you see this happening, & more importantly should it happen?

I really hope that's not what they do as it would seem like a major step back for them.

It does. I have no idea why they would do that, save for "well, what else are wwe supposed to do?" That's the response I would expect of course as creative continues to come off as very, very lazy.

I haven't heard anything about it but I'd hope not. The women have already shown they can do a lot of things the men can do. I have no idea why we would need to put the women over on one side when we can have them doing what they're doing now just fine.

If you take away Hardcore Titles, he's tied with Morrison for most titles without a World Title.
i thought for sure it was Gunn, dude has won so many tag titles that I wouldn't be surprised

I'd freak if Kofi wins the big one, and I'm really genuinely hoping he does, but I don't see it happening unfortunately

Also I watched the TNA tag match you had mentioned earlier and it's pretty damn funny. PWG has some decent comedy matches and I haven't seen Yano/Omega at the G1 yet.

Best/favorite match with dudes just absolutely pummeling each other?

So Jon Jones just publicly called out Brock Lesnar in the middle of the Octagon right after his title victory over DC tonight. Do you reckon Brock's losing the belt at Summerslam now and fighting in UFC before Wrestlemania?
