Why in the absolute fuck would they let Batista win the Royal Rumble?

Do the WWE brass even know what booing means anymore?

Do they know what thousands of people screaming "YES! YES! YES!" or "Boooooooooring!" means?

Oh... and I'm back.

Am I wrong in thinking that was still one of the best Rumble events of all time, despite Batista's controversial victory and the twattish smarks in the crowd?

I have a few questions starting with some WWE Questions:

I will not overreact with the Rumble results because I will always watch no matter what Looking at last night what direction for Mania is Lesnar,Batista,Punk, and Bryan heading towards to

This week in Scotland for Impact the mystery investor will be revealed IMO it could be McGuiness so who do you think the mystery investor is

I have a feeling that a ROH/TNA angle is coming with terms like hostile takeover and Honor has been used in the last few weeks seeing TNA has former ROH talent and ROH has a former TNA talent along with Joe recently talking bad about ROH it sounded alot like a work Whats your opinion on a possible battle between ROH/TNA cause it would be great to see Steen get some more tv exposure

Quick opinion query: Bryan wins at Elimination Chamber to face Heel! Batista & Heel! Orton at Wrestlemania?

Bryan in the main event is a good thing, a three way isn't. Granted that's because I can't stand triple threats.

I'm fine with Batista winning. Bryan needed to be in the match, not necessarialy win it.

Not at all. I gave the whole show an A.

Punk vs. HHH is as obvious as you can get. I'll go with Lesnar vs. Undertaker and Bryan vs. Orton vs. Batista.

Unfortunately I think it's going to be Sting.

No benefit to TNA for that.

Indulge me in a bit of retrospective fantasy booking if you will, but I feel as if this entire Bryan situation could have easily been avoided:

They built the whole Bryan vs Authority story without any thought for a payoff and there were tons of plotholes and scrapped ideas. Also, there were complaints about Bryan not drawing buys. But considering that he was going to main event those autumn shows anyway, would it not have made more sense to placate the fans by letting him hold the title Summerslam to Survivor Series and then have Bray screw him out of the title to start that feud?

All this crowd dissent is because they were stupid enough to start a long build for a payoff that they had no intention in delivering against characters (HHH and Steph) who make no sense.

If they had just given Bryan that short run with the belt, could this situation have been avoided?

Yes, though I think there's a chance they're trying to get people to DEMAND a Bryan title reign with him getting the title at Wrestlemania. If they don't do it by there, it's one of the worst decisions they've ever made.

As of now it looks as if Cena/Wyatt and Orton/Batista are 2 of the big matches at WM30. I love the idea of Cena/Wyatt, I don't love or hate Orton/Batista but I don't think either match would be the definitive main event of Wrestlemania 30. With that said I got 2 questions:

1) Do you think another match should be the main event of Wrestlemania 30?

2) Your thoughts on Lesnar vs. Taker as the main event.

Lesnar vs. Bryan, Taker vs. Reigns.

Reigns has even been built up for it with tying the Survivor Series record and breaking the Rumble record.

This Bryan/Rumble crowd thing has got some mainstream coverage in the UK now (BBC and Independent) How come this story has gone so big? Will mainstream attention change WWE's perspective/plans?

How relevant is the term "smark" when almost every viewer is a smark to some degree / a major portion of the audience is "smarky"? This will obviously increase when most of business is done over the internet / mainstream media is increasingly discussing booking (http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/25911039). When more and more arenas react smarky and more and more business is made with them, at some point you can't paint them as the annoying outsiders anymore.

I think the crowd last night will.

Also, is Foley talking his way out of making future appearances/having a comfortable legacy in the company?

Nah. He'll be fine.

True but I don't think it's to that point yet.

You're having a busy time KB. Controversy Creates Cash, eh? Just wanted to say, your review was on the money as per usual. Have a good day.

Thanks. It was my third biggest day ever and I just put up more thoughts on it. They were meant to be quick but as is my custom they wound up going over four pages.

Just reading it now.

While I mention Controversy Creates Cash... I can't be alone in expecting an increased viewership for Raw tonight? Any thoughts?

Third biggest day?

The top two being Punk's pipebomb and... something to do with Rock vs. Cena?
