There seems to be a problem with your review site.

....egads.

For that time period, I think his wrestling was really good and that was pretty much the focus of wrestling back then. Why didn't he have such exposure and fame compared to someone like Bruno, and what was it that Bruno (and Inoki) did to become so popular?

Thesz' heyday was before Bruno. Also the WWF was always better at promotional stuff.

Elaborate on short leash? Yeah, some of the WCW shit was horrible, but WCW was on the rapid decline. Blame has to spread between Russo and WCW corporate, but most of what I read, Russo gets buried by everybody. Agreed that both Russo and Ferrera had brilliant ideas.

When Russo goes nuts, it gives us stuff like the Corporate Ministry with its Satanic wedding and Vince terrorizing himself. Yeah it was entertaining for parts of it, but man alive its stupid looking back.

Yeah that didn't help things. He was more like a Shawn Michaels: known to wrestling fans but not as much outside of wrestling. Some people would know him, but not the masses.

Do you think Wrestlemania 30 is the last big Mania to be full of part-timers?
Should it be?

Seeing all those names (Rock, Lesnar, HHH, HBK, Batista, Taker etc.) coming back to have dream matches is good fun and pops the buyrate but it's hardly sustainable. They need to put someone over big style at Mania 31 to establish the next big star.

Part of the fun of WM is having the new crowd getting a shot and returning favorites for matches\segments. I doubt they will ever stop featuring HOF or part time guys because they can do that with the other PPV's each year.

Honestly if a WM card had no-one but rising stars and left off the big names of past- the sales would take a dip and that isnt acceptable for the #1 PPV. If you had to watch a divas tag and a 3MB match without the hope of seeing someone like Taker, Foley, etc soon after- I doubt any of you would actually watch the show.

It would be horrible.

Here's the thing: other than Wrestlemania 17, more commonly known as the best show ever, the biggest shows of all time either had major celebrity involvement (Trump) or part timers. You stick with stuff like this until it stops working. by the time these part timers are done, there will be new part timers. Wait six years or so when Punk, Orton and Cena aren't going full time and come back for Wrestlemania and see what they draw.

Besides the obvious mismatch pairing with Sting, who do you think EC3's tag partner will be? I dread it being Spudd, but that's doubtful anyways. Was also thinking possibly Magnus.

Do you see Spud actually wrestling at all. I mean he was ok in the few matches he had, but damn he is actually really short

Hey it been a while and I have a few questions:

With the recent lack luster DVD Buys especially for JCP/WCW material would it be better to release anthology volumes instead of "Best Of" seeing that the concept of "Best Of" which no company outside of wrestling uses anymore you only get at the most a 33% share in the DVD business

WM 30 could be Vince's last big push for that event for creative direction Just for a short period have Cena as a heel which could lead the older fans to like him more seeing it worked for Hogan Punk wins the Rumble and you set up the best full-time rivalry as Punk vs Cena on the grand stage Or

Maybe have HHH screw over Orton and be the champ going into Mania facing Punk Which one do you like and think makes the best sense

Those DVDs have done well from what I'veheard.

You don't want to do a short term Cena heel turn. Either go big or don't do anything.
