Pretty low as the ending wouldn't be in doubt. Put it at another show and the value goes up.

Some but I'd point you to 2008 with Hardy. Look at the buys for the 08 Rumble as the fans believed in him and were willing to pay to see it. People don't want to see heels win titles.

Same with his brother chasing midcard titles. I remember the MVP US title fued. It worked so well for the chase.

Kind of curious as to what the story is (if there is one) with Dustin Rhodes. He debuted in the WWF back in late 90 or early 91, seemed to be a guy they were going to push and than was gone.

Is it as simple as they let Dusty go and he followed? Or is there more to it?

Nothing more than that. Dustin wasn't ready to be on his own in 1991 and Dusty made sure he had a job in WCW.

Why didn't Goldberg have another title run in WCW after losing to Nash back at Starrcade 98?

******ed question but how does a match exactly work.

Do they plan out everything in advance or bullet points or what exactly. It's something that's fascinated me for a while.

Depends on who it is. Randy Savage and DDP were famous for wanting every move of every match planned out in advance.

Most people call matches on the fly though. Watch a CM Punk match and you'll see him put on a headlock and jam his head next to the other guy's ear. He's calling spots. Occasionally you can hear this kind of stuff such as at Survivor Series with Big Show clearly saying "Two clotheslines" to Orton, followed by two clotheslines. As for big spots and sequences, a lot of those are worked out and finishes are given by agents before the match. The referee will also tell them how long there is left in a match which you can hear every now and then.

Absolutely. Luger was basically Superman in 1988.

Around 1990 when Luger became as lazy as you can possibly be while still breathing.

After reading your response I noticed that Luger had a 8 month or so WCW Title run like in 91 or 92. Was it simply a case of Flair's gone so give it to Luger? Did WCW hope the title would motivate him? Or is there something else to it?

That's a rather complicated story.

Short answer, Luger was the only person to give it to.

Absolutely.

Certainly nothing unheard of and a better idea than renting out a baseball stadium like they did here in Lexington. They rented out the park here and it had maybe 1000 people out of about 8000 seats. Why spend that kind of money when you don't have to?
