Cripple it? No. HHH vs. Orton having a stupid stipulation and absolutely no chemistry hurt it a lot though. The Raw Title match was fine. It was just a bad time and badly booked show.

Why do you love Foley so much but hate Dusty? They're both fat and neither are amazing workers but everything Dusty did was way more entertaining than watching Foley get his ass beat and fall on the floor in every match

Foley: has great matches with nearly everyone he's put with.
Dusty: managed to screw up a Ric Flair match in the mid 80s. Ric Flair got a good match out of HAWK.

Foley: wins the title in a feel good moment.
Dusty: books a Dusty Finish in the main event of Starrcade

Foley: amazing worker.
Dusty: managed to be lazy on a snapmare.

Was just watching CM Punk's return on RAW after absconding from MitB with the title and was thinking about how much of a missed opportunity that really was. His return and face off with Cena was good but it could have been something really great had it been held off until at least Summerslam if not later.

I would not ascribe to the view that it could have gone on for months and months but I do think that Punk could have spent that next several weeks defending his WWE title at indy shows, perhaps even at ROH or New Japan. Then after his return when someone brought up that he should be stripped of the title for not defending it for 30 days, he could show some footage/photos of him doing so. He could even have gone as far as to 'rent' out commercial time during WWE broadcasts to promote his victories over someone like KENTA or Colt Cabana.

It is not like WWE did not have a ready made WWE title match to fill the schedule up to Summerslam with Mysterio defending against Cena. Unfortunately the hotshotting of that match began an unfortunate series of hotshots that led to very little, right up to Survivor Series.

I suppose my questions are why do you think WWE pulled the trigger so quickly (was Punk considered too popular to keep off tv?) and what would you have done differently?

When was the last time a result of a wrestling match affected you to the point that it mad you mad or ruined your day much the same way as someones favorite sports team losing affects them?

Could you give an example of a well booked Mania that turned out to be poor?

Or how about the opposite, a poorly booked Mania that turned out to be good?

What you suggested sounds fine. Having Cena vs. Mysterio the same night that Mysterio won was just plain stupid.

As for why they did it, I think it was just because they were afriad the PPV numbers for Summerslam would be down if they didn't do it immediately, because WWE is so paranoid about building anything for the future that doesn't have Rock involved.

Not many have done that ever. Actually it would probably be Ryder losing the title to Swagger the way he did.

Not many of them are like that. Most Manias people are on fire and don't have a string of terrible matches.

24 was pretty badly booked but worked out well.

-What financial gains does TNA and ROH have to make in 2013 to avoid substantial economic collapse if they both already aren't in some sort of financial crisis

ROH needs to tone things down. They need to just stick with what worked before. That and stop trying to do this stupid strong style stuff. Have some fun angles instead of having the same feud over and over again.

As for TNA, they seem to be stable. I can't imagine them collapsing anytime soon as they've gotten a bunch of sponsorships latelyw hich will help them a lot.

weeks ago, i tried to say RAW from 2002-03 was good.

I watched 5 episodes last night and i was wrong. It sucked ass.

Random Tag-Teams: RVD/Booker T, Cheif Morley/Lance Storm, Kane/RVD

plus to top this off: katie vick.

why was i so blind KB?

After looking up your grades for the three ppv matches Bret and Shawn had I saw that you graded them as follows:

92 Survivor Series A-
97 Survivor Series B+
WrestleMania XII B

What is the difference between these matches that made you rate them as you did (this is not a question of why you gave them these grades as your wirteups do them justice, but rather what seperates each match from the other thus ending with the grades you gave them)?

Because you're not that bright.

The Iron Man match is too long. Seriously, that's the problem with it. It just keeps going and has WAY too much resting in it. They would have been better off having a regular match that ran 35-40 minutes and it would have been way beter.

Any surprise returns you'd like to see in the Rumble this year you'd like to see and favourite surprise return thus far in the Rumble? Also, funniest Rumble match moment?

None I'd specifically like to see.

Cena in 08. I was legit shocked.

Probably Santino and Foley's duel. That was hilarious. Either that or Too Cool and Rikishi dancing which isn't really funny but it's awesome.

What should Mike Knox's TNA name be? I for one think Boss of Experiments, Artillery, Research, and Development

I'd wish his name was "the guy you might possibly maybe remember as MIKE KNOX who we're not really calling MIKE KNOX, even though he was in WWE for such a small sip of coffee so WWE probably doesn't remember that his name was MIKE KNOX so we can probably get away with saying MIKE KNOX because WWE won't care."

Favourite Raw moment evah?

Foley wins the title.

To be fair, he did take part in a WWE Title match.

I was thinking of what WWE has done with Punk and have a few thoughts and wonder if you agree with any of them:
-Should of made Punk more of a tweener where he successfully defended the title against faces and heels
-Making Punk weaker than Flair as a heel champion has made the character non-believeable to beat anyone especially a 65+ old promoter
-Making Punk heel was done in alot of fans minds because he was threatening Cena's merchandise control over the company similar in how they mad Savage a heel over Hogan
