My gf just bought me the Starrcade DVD and although I haven't finished it, it seems to be one of the better WWE produced DVDs. Anymore recommendations?

Oh let's see.

Best of SNME
Mick Foley's Greatest Hits and Misses (make sure it's the new three disc version. You get four extra matches)
Rise and Fall of ECW
Shawn Michaels: From the Vault (that's an older one but well worth checking out for sheer levels of awesome alone)

I miss Coliseum Video. Some of their tapes were incredible.

People give HBK a bad rep pre his 2002 comeback and said he had a garbage championship run in 1996, and everyone give accolades to the Hit Man of carrying the WWE through it's toughest time - I disagree with this, I think that it was HBK and HBK alone, being as good as he was, was the reason the WWE didn't crumble at the peak of the WCW onslaught in '96. Do you agree with the preceding statement or was HBK not a great world champion during his '96 run? And if so, who gets the distinction of carrying the WWE through that rough transitional patch in '96?

More important be able to make great promos or great wrestler.

Talk. If it was wrestle Dean Malenko vs. William Regal would have headlined about 10 Wrestlemanias in a row.

Bigger gift to wrestling: Terry Funk or Mick Foley?

Funk. Without him there's no Foley.

It was a combination of a few things. The real rough stretch was in 97 though when the NWO was just destroying them. That was more about Bret vs. Austin and the Border War though. Shawn was good, but he wasn't an incredible draw (as far as I know) but that wasn't exactly his fault.

If you were a pro wrestler, what three moves would you have in your arsenal? I'm quite fond of the elbow drop and springboard legdrop ala Kazarian.

That's an appropriate term. I had skin cancer and had it removed before it spread so any time that someone calls something a cancer in wrestling, I get annoyed with them. Also times where my intelligence as a fan is heavily insulted but that's annoying in a different way. Also wasn't a fan of some of the stuff WCW did, such as having Kanyon get tossed off the triple cage in the same arena as Owen Hart died in less than a year after Owen died.

The next "next big thing" will be someone very few people expected: agree or disagree?

Do you think any of the guys in WWE who come from wrestling families have what it takes to be as or more successful than their predecessors?

Define segment.

Probably. Austin, Rock and Hogan weren't expected to be huge stars, at least not in the way they became huge stars.

Sure but it depends on how they're pushed.

Better music for Punk, Cult of Personality or This Fire Burns?

Also, Should John Cena switch music? He's had the exact same song for since 05 I think...even Rock/Austin who had iconic music (If ya Smell...Glass Shatters) had subtle changes made to it (Jim Johnston always tweaked with the drum beats)

Finally: When will Zack Ryder's routine get old? I get the feeling he's popular as a Jersey Shore parody, but fad-shows like that end...when that happens, what happens to Ryder?

Cult of Personality is kind of pointless now since he's just another guy and not saying anything significant.

Nah. He's fine right now and the theme song is catchy, unlike so many other songs today.

Depends on where his push goes at the moment. If he wins the US Title, it goes in a totally different direction.
