Whatis your definition of a spot monkey, I just read that RVD is being accused by many as a spot monkey and just wanted to clarify what it is

So in short what is a spot monkey?

Depends on who you ask.

I tend to call them people that know nothing but their signature moves. They do nothing between spots and just go from one signature move to another. Another definition is a guy that does nothing but high spots (dives etc) without any traditional wrestling in between.

KB, just wanted to ask for your opinions on the Wrestlemania press conference in which John Cena got such a terrible reaction.

I hope he wins at Mania just to spite the ********s.

Also, what do you think the likelihood is that he will go heel?

First and foremost, Cena is not going heel. This needs to die as it's simply not happening.

As for the press conference, you have to feel sorry for Cena. Having it in New York was asking for trouble though.

Is it odd that I'm looking forward more to an FCW Match that's going to air tonight (and hit youtube sometime in the week) than I am about any of the WrestleMania matches?

Nah. Local matches can be awesome.

Any thoughts on the match order for tonight?

And if JR should be working tonight?

Cena vs. Miz needs to go on last.

And I hope so. He belongs there.

This isn't a question, but just some comments on tonight. I love being able to be a mark and enjoy the show, but still find a few things wrong. Cole and Lawler was fuuuuucked up. It should have been just like last year with Vince and Bret, and fuck the GM. I hate Cole. I highly enjoyed Edge and Del Rio, but it was rather short. Taker looked like he got jacked pretty good. Punk continued to show why I love him, and Orton did a solid job. Cody and Rey was good, glad Cody went over. Definitely enjoyed the 6 Person Intergender match. Cena and Miz was meh, but the ending sets up Rock and Cena so I can dig the Rock's interference.

Where does this Mania rank overall in your book?

Right now, I think it's a bottom 5, but that can be blurred by the fact that I'm still very upset about some shit that was delivered.

And what do you think holds the future for Daniel Bryan and Sheamus?

One thing that blurs my view on this event is that I had to think all the time for what shit there was enough space and for a guaranteed show stealer (when you look at the other matches) there wasn't. And even as the pre-match it was butchered. I honestly think these guys may have shed some tears that night in their beds, Bryan more so because it was his first Mania and he could've really stolen the show (imagine little hours before the event of your dreams you get your moment robbed). On the other hand, it wasn't enough for Taker to kick out of three finishers between lying on the floor for the rest of the match (what they learned from HBK / Taker: more finishers -> better match), Pee Wee and others who needed no place at the show had to have their shit segment, The Rock had to butcher Miz's moment (what rub would Miz have gotten if Rock just raises his hand to end the show?), we needed to drag Cole / Lawler until there were inevitable "BORING!"-chants (and of course there had to be five minutes afterwards to reverse the decision) and Corre had to be stomped into Oblivion, so of course there wasn't enough time. Right now, I honestly can't think of another option than Bryan being demoted to eternal doghouse status and Sheamus slowly becoming a Mark Henry.

I feel like Vince (who personally scrapped the match if I'm correctly informed) has absolutely no desire anymore to create interesting wrestling, it was all about the hype and nothing else. Cody / Rey was good and Punk / Orton was interesting (but painfully obvious) and that are about the only positive things from the top of my head. I read that WWE wants to cut the W out (yes, the word wrestling in their name) and I think I heard the notation "entertaining match" yesterday. Is Vince really ashamed of the only thing he's good at, promoting wrestling? My desire to watch a wrestling company which is ashamed of being a wrestling company is very low, and in this moment I could imagine that in ten years time W(W)E will totally abandon their wrestling heritage and try other things, which would bomb of course like everything Vince did outside of wrestling. I decided to take a WWE hiatus until SummerSlam after tonight's RAW, just to cool down and give smaller promotions a bigger chance to catch me (€dit: no, not TNA).

Do you share some of my points or do you think I'm a bitter idiot?

Bottom five might be a stretch but it's close. 2, 9, 11, 13 and maybe 25 would be worse than this one.

Those two will have a match on Raw or at the next PPV.

Vince is a promoter. Hyping is what he's supposed to do.

With a little distance, I can just shake my head and am sure it's not as bad as 2, 9 or 11. Then again, I don't think 13 was that bad and 25 had its standout moment that this Mania is missing. 5 bores me a lot and I've never liked 23 that much, time will tell how much I really dislike this.

I have a strange gut feeling that Vince wants to turn his company away from "wrestling" and its history more and more, and I don't see how that can benefit in the long run. The bad thing is, I don't see any other promotion that could step up and fill the breach. A while ago, there was talk of a rich guy trying to create a new huge wrestling promotion from sketch and I was pretty excited for it, but I've nothing heard since. Do you have information about that?

And, uh, where was Justin Bieber?

13 had Austin vs. Hart. I think it has that match you're looking for.

That has more or less died off.

Bieber was only rumored and never confirmed.

There are occasions, namely when the face ultimately leaves with the title. Starrcade 88 is a good example in the TV Title match.

Yes, that saved 13. 1997 was my overall favorite year in wrestling (WWF, WCW, ECW), so I probably have it in better memory than it deserves.
What I meant was that this Mania (27) was missing standout moments or matches. Rock Bottom to Cena should've been the moment, but the lukewarm match before, the unnecessary draw and GM interference and Rock attacking Miz as well combined with the tired crowd totally killed it. Additionally, it wasn't totally surprising. The setting was great, but there's not much more that speaks for the event. The best matches were nothing more than good, although HHH vs Taker with the ridiculous kickouts seems to be a love it or hate it thing.

Since this is a question thread, a question:
If you could choose a spot: wrestler, booker or announcer?

You should totally sticky this thread.

I think I mentioned this before, how smart is it to have Cena who already gets mixed reactions, get in the ring with the Rock? Especially in Miami? Won't that just totally kill the cena character? Even if he beats the Rock, the crowd will still hate him. You gave me the answer last time of Cena going heel or earning his respect. The answer still stand?

Another thing, what is Cena going to do throughout the year? You think an injury angle is coming? Because Cena won't necessarily be chasing championships or trying to win the royal rumble and whatnot. What wil he do until wrestlemania?

I have no idea what they're going to do, but the more I think about it the more I think they're going to actually do it.

Booker but for a far smaller company.

Is TNA even worth watching anymore, I haven't watched it in four weeks and I cant say I miss it. Is it worth me starting to watch again or should I just stay away for a while?

How in the world did I miss all of these?

What did you think of tough enough?

I liked it a lot. Austin on there is a nice perk because he's gone through all this and has made it work. Also them knowing the basics is a good thing.

Thoughts on wrestler's court?

As in like a kangaroo court? That's an old tradition and it's fine.

What's your favorite gimmick of all time?

Foley's multiple personalities.

Tonight's wasn't. I was dying for it to be ove.r
