KB Answers Wrestling Questions

Hey KB, first time asker. I like to think I know my shit.

However, I'm stuck. Do you know what the technical name for the clutch used in a rock bottom/side effect/exploder suplex?

I believe Tazz calls it a 'high collar' or some shit.

Much appreciated.

Hey KB, just wanted your highly respected opinion.

Do you think TNA should re-hire some former X-division stars like Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams, Low-Ki, maybe even Austin Aries?

I doubt these guys would cost much (Especially if they're allowed indy bookings).
I think they would benefit greatly from it, what about you?

The X Division is more or less dead and has been for awhile. They're not going to be featured, so why put more money into them? Also the roster is bloated enough already.

Half-joking: Do you think TNA would have fared better over the past 12 months with someone like me in charge?

Can you make a storyline and realize that people don't want to boo people like Hogan and Flair while not having a huge storyline with plot hole after plot hole and managing to not botch the post mega heel turn stuff by having Jeff Hardy, a drug addict that has major charges facing him be put into a major spot on the card?

Yes. I'd start by never bringing in Hogan or Flair. Or Hardy.

Bringing Hogan in was a good idea. Making him top heel wasn't. Have him be the trouble shooter or the GM guy or something like that.

When he was coming in, I said it was stupid to think he could ever be a heel again. You and I agreed on pretty much everything surrounding the "ordeal". If the options were "Hire Hogan and misuse him as badly as ShamWow guy used a hooker" and "Don't hire him", I'd go with B.

Yeah I remember that. I didn't think Hogan would work but it gave them some publicity which is the right idea. He's still a huge name and TNA was seen as a company that needed star power. Giving him authority though and more or less full control wasn't going to work as his booking style has never been good or entertaining as it takes him FOREVER to get to anything.

Pretty much. I was a fan of Bischoff coming in, but that was the mark in me, hoping for a flash of brilliance. It all went downhill fast. I tried to support it for the first few weeks, and just couldn't do it anymore, without sounding exactly like the THEY situation...

I kept saying that they would be interesting at first and then it would fall apart after that. What do you know, old KB was right.

La Familia: crap, barely even a stable.

Foley wasn't in his element and you could tell that. In his book he talks about Vince really getting to him and you could hear it in his voice.

I didn't think it sucked for the most part. Hogan shouldn't have gone on last and should have gone over clean, but the show was good.

Another question KB:

Is the greatest promo of all time the sit down promo that The Rock and Austin did with JR for their match at WrestleMania 17?

For some odd reason, that's the promo that I remember the most out of all of the ones that I've seen.
