I would argue that each WWE brand only has about two and a half hours to fill. They get their main show and then roughly half of Superstars. I'm not sure what the point I'm trying to make is, but RAW has 47 listed Superstars and Divas to use in story lines and Smack Down has 36. Both have roughly two and half hours a week to be used in story lines.

Again, I have no clue what I'm trying to say.

NXT also, plus any potential PPVs.

You're right. I don't care. A live audience means fuck all to me. Explain in what way that makes it more difficult to script a good product. Yes, guys might go long or fudge their lines or the crowd might be apathetic or worse. But in no way is the fact that the show is live an excuse for the levels of stagnant mediocrity we're subjected to each and every week. The writing doesn't need to suck just because they're playing to a crowd. As for the time point, five hours vs. six isn't that big a difference when you discount recaps and in-show promotions on wrestling telecasts. Finally, the WWE comes nowhere near using as many characters as prominently as some soap. They might have 50 guys on the roster, but they don't have 50 characters.

And yes, a lot of your perspective comes from your overwhelming love of wrestling. On that I can agree. You've got a huge blind spot on this.

Well first and foremost you have one chance to get your lines right. You can't stop and say cut and start over again. Second you have hecklers, the idea of having 5000 people looking at you, millions of people watching you at that moment and the idea that if Vince doesn't like what you say your TV time could be killed almost instantly.

Yeah I know. I actually like the stuff I watch and don't complain about how much it sucks while I keep watching it.

Wow, it's almost like the impact of these factors could be negated by hiring professionals who know what they're doing. Challenging. Still doesn't explain why the writers can't churn out anything but garbage.

That's a damn lie and we both know it. I've seen you posting after iMPACT.

But more importantly, why shouldn't I hold the biggest game in town as far as wrestling is concerned to a higher standard? What's wrong with that?

And again it's far from garbage.

I've said many times I like TNA and whether or not people believe that is up to them.

Because the standards of wrestling fans are absurd and no wrestling company has ever lived up to them. We'll also leave out you're not their target audience.

So because no wrestling company has ever lived up to my insanely high standards, it's wrong to have them? No. I don't buy it. There's someone out there who can give me a wrestling show on the level of The Wire.

Also, target audience has nothing to do with it. They should be able to write for hick children and make the writing flow properly. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Never watched the Wire so I'll take your word for that.

Sure they are. Writing flows differently for children than it does for adults.

And yet Pixar somehow appeals to both children and uber-critical adults. Almost as though a balance does exist.

Your refusal to acknowledge that professional wrestling writers could try harder is infuriating. No, I don't expect high art. But I'd like to sense that they're giving it an honest go.

Then once again I question how a guy with such a massive obsession for Hollywood has such a poor eye for good stories. It's striking. It really is.

what is your favorite incarnation of undertkaer? debut, biker, ministry, deadman?

and should he get one more run as the boker before he retires.

is there a dream WM match w undertkaer you'd like to see?

Probably the one he's in now. It's had his best matches. The era vs. Mankind was good also.

I didn't know he had one in the first place.

Not really. Cena maybe.

Not to beat the same horse as before but when they were cutting to the crowd during back-to-back Rock/Shawn Michaels pretapes, I couldn't help but feel sorry for those in attendance. Was it as hard to watch for you as well?

The Shawn thing was worthless. Rock's was entertaining but the crowd shots kept taking me out of it. Could have been a lot better otherwise.

Where do you see Sheamus fitting in at WrestleMania?

Likely a midcard title match, leaning towards DB.

Since we all like Rock vs. Cena

Summerslam in Los Angeles or Wrestlemania 28 in Miami, which is more likely to happen?
