I think it would have come through yeah. He's too big of a talent for Vince or Bischoff to not see him eventually. That was what, 97? Give him a year there and imagine how fast Vince would offer him millions to sign. Not to mention Vince tried to get him already and he said no, so in other words Vince knew about him already and was interested.

Oh wow, I didn't realize the crucifixion angle was that early. For some reason, I always thought it happened around 1999.

But didn't Stone Cold get crucified by the Undertaker while Angle was on the roster? Isn't that a bit hypocritical of him to not sign with one company because of an angle, only to not do anything when it happened later on?

I think you can only blame Paul so much for it as he was deceived. That being said, there was NO ONE else on the roster that he could have put out there? Really? No one was capable of pulling a double shift that night?

Do you think it wouldn't have been as bad if New Jack hadn't done what he did with the blading?

October 96 apparently.

The Austin crucifixion was in 99 as the Ministry formed in very late 98 and Angle debuted in August of 99. Money talks I guess.

No. Vince was more or less desperate back then and was trying to boost his ratings. He doesn't need to do that now.

One could argue that TNA does need the ratings. So would they benefit by having ROH or some other major independent promotion doing what ECW did on RAW back in the day? Doesn't TNA have ties to one of the Japanese promotions, New Japan Pro Wrestling? Would that be beneficial to anyone to promote them on iMPACT?

WCW tried taht in 95 and it did nothing for them. As for ROH, nah. TNA has a bloated roster already so they don't need to add more.

I didn't mean it as a long term thing. Just a one-night special, like Global Impact was a few years ago. I don't know, maybe I would just be geeking out about some of the possible matchups.

This may have been brought up already, but what is your favorite gimmick of all time? And does the wrestler make the gimmick? I mean, would Goldust have been as successful as it has been if it was, say, Bob Holly playing the gimmick instead of Dustin Rhodes?

Do you think someone on Raw should turn face to even out the ME scene given that there is Nexus, Sheamus, Punk, Miz and Jericho when he ruturns as heels and only Orton and Cena as faces? Also given that Cena is with Nexus and a heel turn seems more likely than ever. And if so who should turn?

For WCW it was a one night hting. Starrcade 95. It bombed.

And Foley with his multiple personalities.

Rhodes had actual talent. That's what got the gimmick over.

Nah I think it's ok. Miz is still in the upper midcard and Nexus is more than keeping Cena and Orton busy. A feud for Sheamus with Morrison would be good for both.

Thats not a question?

KB, what do you think will happen with "Matthew" Hardy if & when he joins TNA?
Probably something far beyond what he deserves to be doing.

fine, What 5 matches do i absolutely have to see before i die? Was that better

Hogan vs. Andre
Steamboat vs. Flair (Wrestlewar 89)
TLC 2
Taker vs. Mankind Hell in a Cell
Chamber of Horrors

All for various reasons.
