In his era the title changing dirty was typical. Also, not a lot of people remember how you get the title but what you do once you get it. Your reign means more than one match.

I agree, of course Rocky is my favorite wrestler EVER. I grew up during the Attitude Era, I get dirty tactics were common... But I always think about him winning the title clean, just once... That's all I ask for

Can the WWE survive without Vince McMahon? Will it need to be a combination of HHH, Steph, and Shane for it to work?

I really do not know. Vince has been the one constant through the ups and down. I think it could, but at the end of the day, I believe Vince loves this business more than anyone else and that's not something you can get over time. Without it, things are very unclear.

Is DDP another guy who you think Vince didn't know what to do with?

Nah. I think there's a difference between not getting someone and not wanting to do something with someone. Vince has one main tendency: his ideas are better than anyone else. Coupling this with the fact that DDP's character was built up over years and years and the WCW audience connected with that. WWF's had no connection to him at all and it just wasn't going to work.

I always wonder about that. Without the machine, The 'E, I don't even know if Professional Wrestling can survive. It'll either become nothing or go back to territories unless the next regime can pull it off.

It won't go back to territories. There are networks out there that would LOVE to have TNA's ratings. Someone will put it on somewhere on a national level.

Good point. CW is desperate enough to run local wrestling, they couldn't recover from losing SD. At the same time, for the WWE to fail they'd have to just bury it. HHH is better than that. Steph knows a lot and so does Shane. They'll be alright. I just don't think they'll ever beat all the success VKM has had.

I grew up with DDP and Goldberg as my SCSA and The Rock. I would have like to see DDP with at least one world title reign in the WWE. At least Booker got one anyway,
What's your favorite match video promo?

Austin vs. Rock Mania 17. Absolutely perfect and I wanted to see those two go at it.

Not really. I thought he was fine for what he was: a guy that was a solid test for up and coming guys but never a main event level player in the long term.

Hehehe, nicely put but how do you think Goldberg's streak should have ended, should it have been Nash or Sting or DDP or somebody else?

It should have been to the next guy that was being brought up to the main event scene. Nash was there already, Sting was long since established, DDP didn't need the title. I would have gone with Benoit myself as he works the arms the entire match and weakens the spear. Goldberg makes his superman comeback and sets for either the spear or Jackhammer and Benoit counters into the Crossface for the tap out and the title. Not only does he beat Goldberg, but he makes Goldberg say I Quit, truly putting him over Goldberg and making Benoti seem lethal.
