It was Batista vs Guerrero vs Orton, I went and checked because PPV didn't seem right. Forgot that there were more episodes inbetween the PPVs due to them being brand exclusive

Do you think Miz should turn face within the next year?

If you could take and 1 retired/deceased wrestler and bring him into todays WWE in his prime, who would it be and why?

Benoit, so we could get him help immediately.

What do you think of the theory that WWE keeps all it's top tier superstars on an even kiel with one another to avoid a huge void when they leave.

I think it's at least partially true. Almost no one other than Cena or Orton are huge stars and everyone takes two steps forward and two steps backwards it seems. No one is allowed to get the huge push which is bad I think. Cena got it and it certainly seems like it worked.

I've heard stories about this many times and it makes sense. It wasn't at the PPV actually. It was on Smackdown in a triple threat with Batista and Kennedy (I think Kennedy. Batista was champion at that point.) Eddie had been feuding with Big Dave and was teasing a face turn so no it really wouldn't have surprised me. I had heard rumors of it beforehand so yeah I think there's some legitimacy to it.

I heard it was supposed to be Eddie vs Batista vs Orton.

Ah ok.

A year is WAY too long to project something over. It depends on the crowd. He's a natural heel but everything depends on the crowd. At the end of the day they're the ultimate masters.

Not a lot of people know about this storyline, but I've read about a number of times. When Benoit died the storyline was immediately cut-off, but here goes...

Remember when Vince's limo blew up? Seconds before that, what did you see? Paul London flashed a smile. Keep that in mind. That storyline was supposed to turn into someone taking out all the McMahons, then take the WWE Title from HHH. No, I'm not kidding.... It was supposed to be PAUL LONDON.

What would you have thought of that?

With that being said, do you think people will get bored of watching everyone be nearly equal and wrestling take a big enough hit to make them realize they need to push someone to the moon?

I don't buy it. I've heard it too and I don't buy it. There's little to no way it was going to go all the way through. London might have been an accomplice but no way was that going to be the end game.

OK, I should have rephrased it. IN-RING only, who is the 1 retired/dead guy you bring back? Guy you want to see wrestle in his prime against current WWE guys. Nothing about being fucked up outside the ring.

Bruno Sammartino. Always wanted to see how he would do.

What about before he cashes in his briefcase?

Nah. He's the modern day Roddy Piper. Let him get further than Piper got.

Yeah. Sheamus got that push last year. It's a dying art but not dead yet.

Same thing I thought KB, but it somewhat makes sense. Punk feuds with Benoit, McMahons get picked off one by one. Plus, keep in mind that London was on creative. I don't know though. Go back and watch it, Lawler gets irritated and points out London smiling. He made it too obvious. I don't know what to think of it.

Did you hear about the whole Goldust ME run as a heel a few years back? That I can't believe.

I'm a pretty big fan of the Hotrod, so I don't know if I'd go that far, but I do agree that he should stay heel. It seems to be harder to make a good heel than a good face these days

What do/did you think of the Chavo Classic storyline?

Sheamus is still on that even kiel, I'm talking MONSTER push.

Barrett then.

Your favorite theme for a wrestler?

Real American. Still awesome.

Nah. he's a comedy character and that's fine.

He never shuts up, you want to kill him because he won't shut up, he keeps proving everyone wrong, he slowly works up the card, he rarely loses clean.

Am I talking about Piper or Miz?

I had tried to get it out of my head but thanks for putting it back in. I have no clue what the point of it was.

...woooah

I think my one problem is not taking in what "Modern day" really means when people aren't allowed to branch out as much as they did. I genuinely think a lot of the phrases Piper said that are still quoted were thought up by him, but I might just be a blind mark caught up in the business -- Miz hasn't really said anything that I remember yet, other than his two catchprases that aren't really all that innovative. Not saying I don't enjoy his work, but

Of course I don't know as much about how Piper was in his early days, I became enamored of him from watching his DVD set a couple years back, which I highly recommend

Never knew that

Eh maybe but it's not like Matt has meant anything in years. Jeff kept getting pushed and Matt's career highlight is a forgettable ECW TItle reign and a funny Cruiserweight Title reign. If he's being mistreated now, what's his excuse for the last 9 years?

03 - Highlights were his funny gimmick with Mattitude 1.0 and an ok run in The Cruiserweight Division where he had some pretty good matches.

04 - Highlights were his fued with Kane over Lita, where they had an ok story and some pretty good matches.

05 - Highlight was definately his Lita-Edge love triangle. The fact that it was real was the only way it really worked, otherwise it would've been just another love angle. He goes throught being fired, coming back, having some great matches, but then it all dies when he goes to SD! He couldn't even get a one month World Title run since IMO thought this was his best period as a singles wrestler.

06 - Highlights.....he pretty much did nothing.

07 - Highlights were that he teamed back up with Jeff, wins the Tag Titles, starts to fued with MVP.

08 - Highlights were that the fued with MVP ended. He gets The US Title and The ECW Title.

09 - Highlights were his ok fued with Jeff which he says he just plain didn't like. Him going heel was the only other option. Hell he could've had a small Title run if he hadn't gotten hurt as he was a pretty solid heel.

10 - Highlights were his return from injury where he was still out of shape and couldn't do much. Had an ok fued with McIntyre. Gets released after a love/hate relationship with Christian that never really materialized.

So basically he wasn't really mistreated, but WWE never did with him what they did with Jeff: give him a run in the main event. It could've bombed, or it could've been succesful. That's the real problem: he could've been relevant as a top guy if WWE had given him a chance.

I know this is KB's thread, but no. No to all of it, and that's not just blind Hardy hate either.

He was more toned down but taken as a more serious wrestler also. I've seen the DVD and read his book. The book has so much bullshit in it I couldn't think straight halfway through it.

Favorite PPV?

Mania X7 or Summerslam 90.

Will Sting ever wrestle in the WWE? Not sure if this had been asked, but it should have been.

I would be legitimately shocked if he did.

Did The Rock deserve to win the title clean more times? Honestly, he never won it clean. It made him look kind of weak, and on top of that all his title reigns add up to like 9 months.

Dude worked as hard as anyone I can remember in a long time and made himself a big deal. Granted turning down the NWO was the springboard of a lifetime but he ran with the ball when it was handed to him.

In his era the title changing dirty was typical. Also, not a lot of people remember how you get the title but what you do once you get it. Your reign means more than one match.
