Are the WWE sucking up to The Rock?

I mean they've made Reigns number 1 contender for the world title and winner of the royal rumble. I mean they've also made the Usos really prominent.

Is this just a coincidence or is it plausible?

Had Michaels been willing to drop the title to Bret at Mania 13, what do you think that would have meant for the other top names in the company at the time (Austin, Taker, Sid and Vader) in terms of there match at Mania?

Who is the next person to be the "He's not in the Hall of Fame so it's a joke!" seeing as Sammartino, Warrior and Savage are all going to be in it within the next month?

As for modern big names, Rock, Undertaker, HHH, Vince.

I'd assume this wouldn't happen until he retires or (more likely) dies? For all his faults, I think Vince is fairly humble about such a thing.

Is it just me or does the Mania card still look really good on paper? I've been mostly skiping the build this year because it's been fairly awful, but this card here (as projected) looks fairly sound does it not?

Lesnar/Reigns
Sting/HHH
Rusev/Cena
Taker/Bray
Rollins/Orton
IC Ladder Match
Divas Tag
Andre Battle Royal
Maybe something with the Tag situation

What's the likelihood of Samoa Joe signing with WWE?

Fairly high it would seem.

Probably true.

Yeah it's not bad. Like you said though,t he build has been a disaster.

Based on last night's Raw I gave my predictions for Mania in a separate thread. If you care to read it what are your thought's or comments on my predictions?

I could see most of that working other than Ambrose winning.

If TNA had shut down in December, and assuming WWE would have bought their video library, championships + a few contracts, who would you expect to see picked up by the WWE... and who would you have wanted to see picked up by the WWE?

Not as many people as you would think. Off the top of my head, mainly just some legends like Sting and maybe Magnus. They're just too old for WWE for the most part.

As for want to, EC3

Hm. Not even on like a two year contract or something for the older guys? I mean, if I was the 'E, I'd grab Magnus/Bram, Roode/Storm, Joe, EC3, Angle (Legend's Contract) maybe a couple of the younger Knockouts like Rayne & Terrell, and finally Tigre Uno & Khoya.

Magnus/Bram for NXT, Roode/Storm for the main roster, Joe for the main roster (vs. Cena, IMO), EC3 for the main roster (vs. Bryan, IMO), Angle vs. Rusex, Rayne and Terrell in NXT, Khoya in NXT, Tigre Uno in NXT.

A nice mix of youth, capable veterans, hot Divas, and a couple of ethnic wrestlers to replace Khali and Rey.

Don't know if you've seen this but I think Lance Storm has really hit on something here:
http://www.stormwrestling.com/013015.html

Here he's talking about it with Corny:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joXCb1Wr4FM

The basic gist: The WWE is reaping what it sowed with 20 years of the evil authority figure angle. They've conditioned the fans to the notion that the COMPANY is the true heel of the show. And now they're shocked that fans reject everything the company gives them. Afterall, the fans are supposed to be against the heel right? So why wouldn't they reject what the heel is trying to give them?

How do you feel about the lackluster Reigns vs Lesnar build as well as the other matches? Reigns and Lesnar had one interaction.. they COULD HAVE had an interaction yesterday but they didnt even though lesnar was on the show. wow man. all the feuds are just so one sided, its one person carrying each feud with the opponent not even showing up on titantron. its just HHH and Wyatt rambling, and Reigns is too busy facing authority members than interacting with his own opponent. wtf is with this build?

I've heard worse ideas. That being said, Reigns hasn't done himself any favors either.

Yeah it's been lame. I think they're either hoping the show sells itself or they're resigned to the fact that Wrestlemania is a big deal every other year.

So, let's get this straight, Sting is really, really(had to write it twice) seeking 'revenge' For the WCW after 14 years???? Who writes that shit?? Seriously... that was like the worst way they could have gone with that story, ntm, the lack of logic and insulting our intelligence... :banghead:

WHat worries me more is the ending. I can't picture them having the WCW guy go over, but it would be the stupidest idea this side of most of this Wrestlemania build to bring Sting in and have him lose.

lol.
I was actually going to add that as well... "WCW vs WWE"... even if Sting goes over, I assume there is Taker vs Sting(I know you aren't high on this) being planned(once they both can prove they can go this year) and thus, it will be "WCW vs WWE No.2" between those 2 with Sting as a "Heel"... again, none of it makes sense.

As I said quite a few times in recent weeks, it's almost like Vince and/or the WWE is deliberately trolling us with this build by going about the storylines with the absolute worst directions possible for almost all of them.

"I've been called a vigilante but I'm more than that. I'm the face of retribution. I am the silencer of injustice. I am Sting. And I've been watching you. I know first hand how power and ego like yours can corrupt and destroy lives. When WCW perished, it fell under the watch of a broken authority. I tried to save WCW ... I failed. I know pain -- the pain of loss. And after WrestleMania, Triple H, you will too. You talk about control but you cannot control vengeance. You will be the one to collapse beneath your thirst for control and realize that I control your destiny. My loyalty never wavered. Despite your lies, your loyalty is to yourself. You need to be taken down, and I've been waiting 14 years to do it. Triple H ... at WrestleMania ... game over."

Enjoy! :banghead:

Not quite "When a man's heart is full of deceit, it burns up, dies and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man is risen a curse. A wrong that must be righted. We look to the skies for our vindicator, someone to strike fear into the black heart of the same man who created him. The battle between good and evil has begun. Against an army of shadows comes a dark warrior. A purveyor of good, with a voice of silence, and a mission of justice. This is Sting."
