So we have, basically:

Reigns vs Lesnar - This is a fresh match, but comes with loads of external baggage which will no doubt affect its build from tomorrow night till Mania itself.

Rusev vs Cena - Happened already tonight. So Mania will be a rematch.

Sting vs HHH - Practically the only match that has a legit interesting storyline build. However, we don't know what shape Sting is in and how good of a match he can have. I'm looking forward to it, nevertheless.

Taker vs Wyatt - No real build as yet. At this point, I really wonder if perhaps, we get ABA Taker instead of the Deadman.

Orton vs Rollins - This has legit storyline build also, but still, Orton has been off for so long, tonight's run-in seemed half-arsed and sort of wasted. Disappointing start, lMO.

Ambrose vs Barrett - Screwy ending, but I am interested in seeing how long Ambrose can hold onto the title and how much time the WWE devotes to the IC storyline.

How much of the above will get onto the Mania card? Are there any other more worthy matches for it? What does Daniel Bryan do at Mania, and why should I care at this point?
As I said before, at the start of this year, Mania had potential for a great card, but they have done virtually everything to destroy that potential. :(

Most of it. I'd assume Nikki vs. AJ as well, if not bringing up Charlotte like they did with Paige last year. Probably Bryan vs. Sheamus.

I was listening to the PWTorch podcast post show and they were saying how they prefer the Elimination Chamber in a different spot because it dilutes the RR win if the next month 5 other guys get a shot at the title and that the inbetween ppv should basically be a maintenance show. I disagree because, as evidenced by tonight, a maintenance show doesn't get the crowd rocking and I always told the story to my self that the challenger to the title had to outlast 29 other guys and go through a grueling match so whoever the champion would be so go through something equally grueling. I see what they were saying about 5 other guys getting a shot but I just always looked at it as RR and EC are the two most grueling multi man match types in wwe so to Main event Mania you should win either of those. What are your thoughts?

Also tonight Bray Wyatt convinced me he should beat Taker at Mania. But the thing is where would he go from there? I would assume the title isn't far behind because that's a big accomplishment but you would assume Reigns is gonna hold the title a while, Rollins still has the briefcase so they'll probably feud. He's already had a Cena feud?

Orton vs. Rollins and....uhhh......yeah.

I don't need to see two old guys fighting because they had remotely similar gimmicks back in the 90s.

So you have never wanted a Sting vs Taker match before? Being old might make the match a little less entertaining but just like the Rock and Hogan ( I am well aware Rock was still in his prime), it's something you have to see. There has got to be a little bit of excitement there surely. That mark in you has to come out!

I still don't see Nikki walking into Mania with the title. I could see Paige getting a rematch sometime over the next few weeks due to the ending at Fast Lane and winning it then. Or AJ winning it upon her return which I'd assume happens on Raw tonight.

Do you think WWE has screwed up the Nikki vs Brie Story. I understand temporarily re-uniting them but shouldn't of Brie cost her sister the title to set up the final encounter at WM

Do you like Reigns being the heir apparent or has VKM not decided who Cena's heir apparent is. IMO Lesnar should win because when WWE is under PG the face always wins the title at WM and that makes it too predictable

Would it make sense in a few years when WM is in Philly that Heyman, Taz, and Dudley Boyz go into the HOF

Last night, with Wade Barrett trying desperately to leave the ring and retain his title by being counted out, I kept waiting for an official to come out and announce that if he didn't finish the match, he forfeits the title. We've seen this before, right? Usually, it keeps the "runner" on the straight-and-narrow and regardless of what happens in the match, at least it goes to completion.

But have you ever seen a match in which the champion was threatened in such fashion......and chose to leave anyway....thereby being stripped of his belt? I can't think of a single time that happened.

By the way, that cowardice wasn't typical of Wade. Do you agree?

15 years ago sure. Now, no.

Yeah it makes no sense.

There's no need to keep the title on Lesnar. We've seen that it doesn't work long term.

Sure why not.

Not off the top of my head. Orton attacked Christian knowing that he would lose the title by DQ back in 2011 if that counts.

Yep, but the writers have the attention of drunken goldfish so you can't expect them to remember things like character development.

I hope it's not the Bellas in any form. I like looking at them in their outfits and that's the extent of my desire to have them on TV.

Triple H and Sting will have a combined age of 101. Has there been an "older" match between two competitors on PPV?

€dit: Just calculated that HBK - Flair was 31 days older. Damn, that's close! Hogan - Sting happened in TNA and is older as well.

Hulk Hogan and Sting at Bound For Glory a few years ago would have been older

Somehow I think so too. But then I think Bryan has more time as IWGP champion ahead of him as well, giving him more future world champion days.

Predictions on the Mania main event? Who will get cheered more, who will win, will there be a cash-in?

Could TNA have done a cover of Like A Prayer for Grado?

And going off on that tangent could a wrestling company simply just do a cover of a popular song for a wrestler and not worry about being sued?

Lesnar, Reigns, no.

They could but it could get them in trouble.

I'd assume it depends on how big the song is. If it's some no name band, they could probably get away with it. With something like the Rolling Stones, not likely as the Stones have better lawyers.

What are your thoughts with respect to the subplot of the Hell in a Cell match at Armaggedon 2000 with McMahon being so concerned with the well being of so many of his main eventers in the same cell match?
