They knew there was no reason to care so why bother? It was a huge commercial and everyone knew it.
Tellingly, the one match that actually had anything important at stake had the crowd actually responding to it.

Most of it. I'd assume Nikki vs. AJ as well, if not bringing up Charlotte like they did with Paige last year. Probably Bryan vs. Sheamus.
Orton vs. Rollins and....uhhh......yeah.
I don't need to see two old guys fighting because they had remotely similar gimmicks back in the 90s.

So you have never wanted a Sting vs Taker match before? Being old might make the match a little less entertaining but just like the Rock and Hogan ( I am well aware Rock was still in his prime), it's something you have to see. There has got to be a little bit of excitement there surely. That mark in you has to come out!
Do you think WWE has screwed up the Nikki vs Brie Story. I understand temporarily re-uniting them but shouldn't of Brie cost her sister the title to set up the final encounter at WM
Do you like Reigns being the heir apparent or has VKM not decided who Cena's heir apparent is. IMO Lesnar should win because when WWE is under PG the face always wins the title at WM and that makes it too predictable
Would it make sense in a few years when WM is in Philly that Heyman, Taz, and Dudley Boyz go into the HOF
Last night, with Wade Barrett trying desperately to leave the ring and retain his title by being counted out, I kept waiting for an official to come out and announce that if he didn't finish the match, he forfeits the title. We've seen this before, right? Usually, it keeps the "runner" on the straight-and-narrow and regardless of what happens in the match, at least it goes to completion.
But have you ever seen a match in which the champion was threatened in such fashion......and chose to leave anyway....thereby being stripped of his belt? I can't think of a single time that happened.
By the way, that cowardice wasn't typical of Wade. Do you agree?
I still don't see Nikki walking into Mania with the title. I could see Paige getting a rematch sometime over the next few weeks due to the ending at Fast Lane and winning it then. Or AJ winning it upon her return which I'd assume happens on Raw tonight.
Triple H and Sting will have a combined age of 101. Has there been an "older" match between two competitors on PPV?
dit: Just calculated that HBK - Flair was 31 days older. Damn, that's close! Hogan - Sting happened in TNA and is older as well.
Hulk Hogan and Sting at Bound For Glory a few years ago would have been older
Somehow I think so too. But then I think Bryan has more time as IWGP champion ahead of him as well, giving him more future world champion days.
Predictions on the Mania main event? Who will get cheered more, who will win, will there be a cash-in?
Could TNA have done a cover of Like A Prayer for Grado?
And going off on that tangent could a wrestling company simply just do a cover of a popular song for a wrestler and not worry about being sued?
