THat was due to a variety of other problems in addition to the bosses being stupid.

And yet I see the WWE making many of the same mistakes today which leads me to believe they've learned nothing from WCW's example (or even their OWN example in the early '90s).....that doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence in the intelligence of the WWE's bosses (read: Vince). The only thing I really see them having going for them is a virtual monopoly over the business which didn't exist when those earlier examples took place.....Leading to a slow decline down to zero as fans hang on a bit longer, then stop watching wrestling altogether due to the lack of any viable alternative competition to turn to; as opposed to a quick crash and burn as fans simply change the channel to the competition.

They're in better shape than people give them credit for. They gave the fans exactly what they wanted in New Orleans this year.

Did Bobby Roode have a finisher when he was world champion. I don't remember him ever hitting the Roode Bomb

He alternated between a Crossface and fisherman's suplex.

Isn't this the first year in God knows how long they haven't made a profit? And the only reason they won't is because of the Network's launch costs, right?

Yeah that's a lot of it. The loss of PPV revenue is hurting them too. the thing is though WWE can cut SO many costs that they could make it back easily.

Before I get in to some of my questions will you acknowledge similar problems WWE has today compared to WCW. One of the biggest problems is WWE has close to 90% operational costs that affects their bottom line. That number alone is what some investment firms call a stock "toxic". As of last year they made close to $700 mill GP but NP was only around $125 mill. Thats alot of fat they have to trim and thats counting the sponsor money they get which is even more troubling.

Here are some rumors and would like to see your take on them:

Bischoff is close to buying majority ownership of TNA
Shane McMahon will be VKM's successor at the corporate level
CM Punk vs Sting WM 31 (on a side note this one is a long shot because of the lawsuits filed from both parties I believe we will never ever see Punk in a WWE ring again)
The one that has the most legs is WB buying the WWE library (WB officials have mentioned about anthology sets would be the first led DVD plans)
A major buyer will purchase NJPW,ROH,and TNA in one major swoop

They could easily trim a ton of costs. It's really not that hard.

No he isn't.
No he won't be.
Not happening.
The rumor is for the DVD distribution which is a possibility.
No they won't.

What would Cena's career look like if Brock never left. Some insiders have said Cena would have had only half the title wins he has now.

Who do you think will run WWE from a corporate standpoint when VKM steps away. with all due respect to Paul I think that would be too much for him and the board has zero confidence in Steph. I do think Paul will run the wrestling side. Do you think Paul will have WWE look more like JCP as far as lengthy storylines to culminate at the major event of the year and more heels being perceived as winners.

Why did WWE sign Punk in the first place? According to reports multiple times they were thinking of cutting him from OVW.

He would have been a thing but not as big.

They'll get an actual business CEO. The stockholders will demand it.

They sign a lot of guys and cut them. Punk had potential.

I know the diva's division is a complete joke, but why the sudden title changes for the divas? Wasn't it like last year that A.J. held that championship for like almost a year?

What is the IWC's obsession with Dean Ambrose? I've seen Facebook posts with people saying he is the next Stone Cold.

Pause for a minute...

Stone Cold led the WWE against the WCW. Dean Ambrose led.....what? I mean he's good and entertaining, but Ambrose is nowhere near Austin's level at Ambrose's stage...right? Or am I missing something that the IWC isn't?

Read that. If you still think you're post wasn't ******ed, you ARE ******ed.
