Well they did have a title match in 92, just not at Starrcade.

I noticed when I looked it up that the event was SuperBrawl II. Went over to your site but did not see a review. Do you have one and I missed it? Are you going to put one up?

Also noticed that it was Luger's last match in WCW before he went to the WWF. Was that the only reason he dropped the belt? Or was that always the plan and it just coincided with his departure?

It was known in advance. Luger vs. Sting had lasted over six months and Sting beat him to win BattleBowl at Starrcade. Luger had sent Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher after Sting but SuperBrawl was his comeuppance. Unfortunately Luger treated the match like a joke because he was leaving but Sting was FAR better in his second run as champion than his first. It led to the storyline that got WCW on top again for a bit: Sting Fights EVERYONE.

I'll throw up the review sometime this weekend.

I could see either one, but I think this is better. It sets up something huge for Mania instead of it having the first match out.

With Roman being the main guy to be the breakout star from The Shield, who do you see following him as the second main guy? Ambrose or Rollins?

WWE has announced nominees for the Slammy Award for Match of the Year, which will be presented by Bret Hart:

* Undertaker vs. CM Punk (WrestleMania 29)

* John Cena vs. The Rock (WrestleMania 29)

* Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns (Battleground)

* Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar (Extreme Rules)

This is a shitty list right? You have:

A by the numbers Undertaker match
The most unnecessary wrestlemania rematch ever.
The most unnecessary rematch to the 2nd most unnecessary wrestlemania rematch ever.
Even though the Battleground match was great, it wasn't MOTY.

No D-Bry/Cena
No Punk/Lesnar

Also if we're taking this from December 9th 2012 to December 9th 2013 then Shield v Ryback/Hell no should fit there too.

Hell there's about half a dozen Shield matches that would make that list being more justified than Rock/Cena II or HHH/Lesnar.

Daniel Bryan's gauntlet on RAW too is an example of MOTY because you had 1 good match with Swagger, a masterclass with Cesaro and a great David/Goliath for Ryback. And there was a compelling story.

FUCK.

Do you reckon if Triple H hadn't been injured in 2000, or hadn't been taken down a notch by the injury upon return, he'd be a lot closer in comparison to the greats like Austin & Rock?

For D-Bry not to get a nomination for his sterling work throughout the summer is pretty bad.

Somewhat surprised that there is not a TV match there such as Punk vs Cena or D-Bry runs the gauntlet as a nice reminder that "good wrestling matches can happen on a weekly basis so continue to tune in."

As for a question, when it comes to best in-ring chemistry, you think of the likes of Flair/Steamboat and Punk/Cena and the surprising like Batista/Taker, Rude/Warrior and even Show/Sheamus but are there any others that you would point to as truly great or almost stupefying in their surprise?

Again, WWE isn't that bright all the time.

It was 2001.

Nah but it would have helped.

Dustin Rhodes and Vader. They had a match on Clash of the Champions which was as good as anything I can remember in a long time on that series.

Can/Will Cena surpass Hogan as the #1 guy in WWE? To be honest, I don't think that's a question that needs to be answered. Just want your take on it please.

What was Hogan up to in WCW between the time he dropped the title to The Giant at the 95 Halloween Havoc and when he was revealed as the 3rd member of NWO at Bash at the Beach 96?

Nah. It's too late for that huge of a run.

He feuded with the Horsemen a bit until he beat Giant in a cage at SuperBrawl in February. Then he feuded with the Alliance to End Hulkamania, setting up the most hilariously bad match you'll ever see at Uncensored. It was so bad that Hogan disappeared for a few months until Bash at the Beach.

Vader certainly sold the shit out of that opening barrage from Dustin and continued to do so throughout.

Unsurprisingly, Vader managed to make a wheelbarrow slam, which can be one of the weakest looking moves, look completely brutal.
