I'll admit the last great hip-hop he had was from Graduation, but to say 808s and Heartbreak sucked? From a hip-hop point of view, it sucked monkey balls, but it wasn't meant to be a hip-hop album. It was meant to be pop. Not that hip-pop shit that New Boyz and Soulja Boy are doing, I'm talking about shit like what Michael Jackson and Madonna did.
