Kane; a Lucky Luke Gallows?

People will be wondering wtf I'm doing comparing Kane to Luke Gallows but let me explain.

Before Kane was Kane he was re-packaged over and over again, some terrible gimmicks such as a dentist and the Fake Diesel. Now, Luke Gallows also had quite a few gimmicks, Fake Kane and Festus off the top of my head.

It has been reported that Kane wasn't supposed to be a lasting caracter and was only supposed to be in the WWE till WM 14, so do you think if it wasn't for the characters popularity that he would have eventually been future endeavoured, like Luke Gallows? And do you think if Luke Gallows was given a gimmick as good as Kane's, would he have made it a success?

Your thoughts?

I Think the main difference is Kane is talented and can get over, so i think that no matter what gimmick, Gallows had ( Festus, Masked Kane.. ) I don't think any of them gained any heat, so i believe, yes while they have some comparisons, I think Kane would always of stuck around in WWE, no matter which gimmick.

i hate it when people ask obvious questions.!of course if wwe's creative kept
re-invinting roles for kane that never got over that they would of eventually released him, that goes for any wrestler.example A-Hulk Hogan-he was released by the old wwf,he tweaked his charecter after rocky3 from a cocky heel into the real american hero baby face,so if HOGAN of all wrestlers can be released than any1 can.

Now as far as Luke Gallows is concernd.its also obvious YES if givin a charecter like Kane he could be a success.Look at example B-Ultimate Warrior, originaly the dingo warrior.this man knew nothing about the wrestling buisness.was really bat shit crazy f*cked in the head crazy.Him & sting were work-out buddies and some no name in the biz said hey you guys are strong and have the wrestler type look, they started paying there dues in the indy circuit.Back then Vince was in love with the "ROID" body type.He sighned DINGO WARRIOR,changed his name to THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR, & this guy got beyond over, they did a face/face match for the WWF & InterContenetial titles & Vince had Hogan put over THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR @ WRESTLEMANIA for Gods sake.So if
Jim Helwig who actually changed his real name to WARRIOR can get over in the wrestling biusness than any1 can, hell even The GREAT KHALI(LoL) won the top belt.So if Luke can find a charecter that can get him over with the crowds he could be back in the WWE.He is not that bad for a big man.I think if he ever went to TNA & started off in a fued with Abyss maybe he could get over.by the way Luke & Abyss about the same height, people always say how Abyss can move for a big man, well Luke Gallows can move & besides the hardcore stuff can probably work better than abyss in the ring.

!!just 1 mans opinon!!

Glenn Jacobs has had an interesting run in the WWF/E. He came in as the vengeance-seeking brother of The Undertaker, one of the most beloved characters in the history of pro wrestling. Before that, he was the Dentist, and that was another character that was only meant for a short run.

He has really surpassed every expectation I had for him. I figured after WM14, he was gone. I thought Taker would slay another giant, and that would be it. Somehow, the character remained popular. I think the First Blood match with Steve Austin at King of the Ring 1998 really helped him stay above water.

But I don't think Glenn Jacobs has done anything overly impressive to make me believe he is more special than someone like Luke Gallows. Kane was a hell of a lot more muscular in 1997/98 than Gallows has ever been, but size is the only difference I can see. When the Kane character appeared, he didn't need to cut promos or anything like that, he had Paul Bearer. I think Glenn improved over time, and can now stand on his own two feet.

Glenn came into the perfect character, and that character continued to be booked pretty well after Mania 14. In all honesty, I don't know how much credit can go to Glenn Jacobs. He was a monster who wore a mask, and if Gallows had been in a position similar to that of Jacobs, it might have worked out for him as well. I give Jacobs credit for sticking around, but he really isn't anything special.

I think one of the reasons Gallows didn't get over is because of his look. He just looked like a big guy, but that is no longer impressive if you don't have more than size. Look at Shaemus. Sure he probably got over due to HHH being his buddy, but he had a sort of unique look and well in all honest not so fat. Husky Harris kind of reminds me of Gallows and is another reason why I think that he will never get over. People no longer get into those type of fat characters. They seem big and vicious, but unless they have a mask and a badass costume that sets them apart, in today's wrestling they are less likely to get over IMO.

If you look at KAnes earlier matches and even most of the later ones you can see he is a really talented wrestler when given the chance, Ive never really seen Gallows give all that good a performance... although i could be wrong as i doubt ive seen all of his matches. When he debuted as KAne you could see he was massive aswell and is one of the most naturally strongest men in the company... gallows is tall but thats about it... never had the shape or build to match KAne throughout KAnes whole career.. even when he did get a bit of a gut back in 2006ish.

Saying that... a good gimmick can work wonders for everybody and Glen was lucky to have gotten this one.

They may have had the same career but Kane actually had great fueds with Undertaker while Luke Gallows was mostly jobbing on superstars or had a short ass feud with Punk which would surface if the fued was even notable and actually happen. Mind that, he could actually wrestle as well. Luke had skills but was mostly green in the ring while Kane dominated with a monster gimmick.
