4-Real

Gunnery SGT. for Team Bring It!
Around the forum, there has been quite a bit of debate over who the top heel on Raw really is. It can be any one of a few different guys. And currently, there isn't a well established guy on Raw who fills the void (in other words, no Jericho, Edge, HHH etc). Here are some of your options:

The_Miz_WWE.jpg

The Miz

He is the current WWE Champion, and many of the people who matter backstage have anointed him the "next John Cena." He is said to have a great work ethic, as well as exceptional mic skills and natural charisma. However, what he has in those departments he lacks in physical presence. He's just 6'1 and isn't as physically dominant as the other guys I'm about to mention. He has only won one match clean in recent memory, and that happened to come against Randy Orton when he won the WWE Championship. And even that was after cashing in Money in the Bank.

Wade_Barrett.jpg

Wade Barrett

Wade Barrett has all the tools to be considered great. He is 6'5, 265 lbs and has been compared to an eagle by his former NXT Pro Chris Jericho. He is the inaugural winner of WWE NXT, and is also in charge of the Nexus, which as a whole are said to be one of the top heel factions in the company since Evolution. He has also feuded with the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, and other various members of the Raw locker room. And he's only been on Raw for some 6 months. His one minor flaw is his finisher: Wasteland, which is a Fireman's Carry Forward Slam. Being on Raw for as little as he has, he is also a little green in the ring.

Sheamus.jpg

Sheamus

Sheamus is a former WWE Champion in his own right, and is the only Irish-Born WWE Champion at that. He is the backstage favorite of major players such as Triple H. He is probably the stiffest worker on the show, and stands at 6'6, 270 lbs. He has a cartoon like look to him, which suits WWE's PG objectives, and has a nasty finisher in the Brogue Kick (Big Boot), and High Cross (Running Razor's Edge). It has been one year to the date that he defeated John Cena for the WWE Title, and added King of the Ring to his resume just last week. In the ring, he has proven to have the ability to put on solid matches on a consistent basis, similar to Randy Orton. His only major flaw is his Irish accent and sometimes cowardly nature.

My vote would go to Sheamus. He just got this new "King" gimmick, which bumps him up just another notch. Miz has always been mediocre to me. He's yet to prove he can put on matches on a main event level. But that could come in time. As for Wade Barrett, much of his success could be due to the heel faction behind him. But he has still exceeded all expectations since showing up on NXT.

So who do you think is the top heel on Raw? Is it somebody else?

Oh there's no doubt that it is now Micheal Cole with that stunt he pulled last week. I tink this may be the first time when a full time commentator has ever been the biggest heel on their brand.

Oh yeah, totally slipped my mind. You could very well be right. Talk about drawing megaheat... I don't know if it would be Cole, simply because he's not a wrestler and can't work "in the ring" as a heel, but I definitely see why you would say that.

I have to say sheamus. not only is he easily hateable, he also is able to draw the hate out with everything he does.

Wade Barrett for the win. I hate the guy's guts so much that I forget that he is kayfabing. Just saying.

Yea, so I guess the biggest in-ring heel would probably be either Miz or Barret. RAW could use a huge face to heel turn, my pick would be either Morrison or Truth because they're extremely over with the crowd and the crowd would be pissed to see either one of them turn.

I saw something out of John Morrision tonight. A passion and a fighting will. He was pist off a Shamus, and I saw a different site. I believe that WWE could be leading to a Morrision heel, using this as a chance to make a push. Yea, they gave Shamus the KOTR win, but maybe that is part of the story line for a Morrison heel and push.

I don't know what this "well-established" garbage is about. One doesn't need to be "well-established" to be at the top. And Barrett has been at the top since the summer.

I'm going to say Wade...this was tough...but he has had the longest storyline so far to date (not 100% how long taker and kane has been going) in WWE. He leads the most hated group in WWE...and he "fired" the biggest star in the business in John Cena...this was close between them all three though to be honest...which i think is a great thing.

Maybe a hint at a heel turn or maybe Jo Mo was mad that his jokes weren't getting by with the fans. Just saying.

Or maybe he was mad because he got slapped. Shocking thought, right?

Miz is a main eventer by no stretch. Over-achieving midcarder is more like it.

That slap was heard from China! Shameus slapped the tatse out of his mouth!

As far as The Miz goes, he may be overrated but has improved from 2006-2010. WWE needed somebody like him and look how he is carrying The WWE Title. Better than Shameus did to say the least. People said the same thing about Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, and John Cena but look at them now. You can't really get on The Miz so harshly because he has only held the WWE Title for about three weeks. Give him time. He will just keep improving and improving.

Chris Jericho is still an over-achieving midcarder and Shawn Michaels still never drew a dime as the top guy.

Also, I don't know why anyone "needs" someone like The Miz.

I don't get it. The WWE needs someone who sucks out loud because it's the PG era? In what fucking universe does that notion make a lick of sense?

Oh, I see which one.

The Miz shouldn't even be considered. People do cheer him and he only gets solid boos when talking about the towns favourite sporting team/hero. Sheamus gets the random cheer here and there, but otherwise he always gets a consistent reaction. Wade Barrett has been deafened by the crowd multiple times... besides any John Cena matches, he has never been applauded. No-one likes him.

Michael Cole is doing a pretty good job in being hated too.

Top heel is Michael Cole. He's one of the few guys that almost everyone legitimately hates. Guy can't speak 10 words without getting boo'd.

You're crazy! I've seen tons of Barrett signs and seeing all the Nexus shirts in the crowd...I'm pretty sure he's over with the Cena haters
