John Cena Possibly not at RAW?

I may be wrong, but if he uses the WWE private Jet it's a much short flight. Plus he can always sleep on the plane. I think if John Cena shows up at the very least you guys should appreciate the work ethic.

Isn't the Race at Noon or 1pm local time in Daytona? Im sure Cena can make it to Portland by the time RAW begins out there.

EXACTLY!!

I'm sure Vince will have a jet waiting for John at the airstrip,He'll wave the flag, take a few photographs and be wisked away.
Even if the green flag waves at around 1PM eastern,RAW doesn't end until 11,even with a 5 to 6 hour flight...John should be there in plenty of time

That would be hiliarious is they have Cena mocking Rock via satellite. But I doubt WWE would be that creative.

He will have a jet waiting for him and he will be on Raw.

One of the WWE Corporate jets will be at the airport ready to go as soon as Cena's Daytona duties are over. Even if there is a delay, John Cena doesn't need to be at the arena to confront the Rock at 9pm EST. The Rock segment is almost certainly going to be the final segment of the show, so Cena essentially doesn't have to be at the arena for Raw until about 10:45-10:50ish, EST. Gives him another hour and a half of leeway. There is no way that Cena won't be able to make it by the start of RAW, but even if he did, he would still have at least an hour and a half after that to make it in time to confront the Rock.

If anything, Cena flying cross country ADDS to his beef with the Rock. The Rock likes to claim that he was too busy making movies. Cena can already claim that while he was away making movies, he still showed up on RAW, unlike Dwayne, and now he can add flying across the country the day of RAW just to be able to make it argument. That even though he couldn't control the weather at Daytona, he fulfilled his obligations there, and then did everything in his power to get to RAW. He can say that unlike Dwayne, he is a man of his word. It shows his dedication to the WWE, that he could have appeared via satellite like the Rock loves to do because of the time constraints, but instead, he did everything he could to be there for the fans in the arena and the fans watching at home. It just makes Cena look more dedicated, and the Rock like more of a diva for never doing it himself in any of the 7 years he was gone.

Cena can turn this situation into a huge WIN if he plays his cards right tonight.

errrrrrm, never mind. Just heard on the Dan Patrick Show this morning that the Daytona 500 has been delayed AGAIN until 7pm, EST. No way in hell Cena can do both. Does he skip the Daytona and fly to RAW, or does he honor his commitments to NASCAR and skip RAW? I have no idea. There are pros and cons for each option, and I think they are fairly well balanced.

Option 1: Keep NASCAR commitment, miss RAW
Pro: In essence, John Cena is still working for the WWE as a Public Relations ambassador of sorts. It shows those NASCAR fans that are iffy on the WWE that the WWE's top guy respects them enough to perform his duties, despite the conflict with RAW. Certainly nobody could blame Cena for bailing, he agreed to do the race on a Sunday afternoon, not a Monday evening. But by staying anyway, Cena may convince a few people to tune in to RAW next week.

Con: Obviously, he misses RAW, he misses the confrontation with the Rock, he misses an important chance to further his feud with the Rock.

Option 2: He skips the Daytona 500, and flies to Portland for RAW
Pro: Obviously, it means he is there for RAW, and can do whatever it was he was scheduled to do with the Rock, whether it's a direct confrontation or whatever. It's Wrestlemania season, and Cena's presence is very important to selling tickets to it.

Con: While nobody in NASCAR could fault him for leaving town because of the delay, it could be seen as a huge missed opportunity to regain some of the crossover fanbase that used to watch the WWE, but have since found other things to watch.

Either way, some people will be happy, some people will bitch. I have no idea what he will do...although, if I had to make a choice, I would say that anyone can fill in for him at the Daytona 500, the fact that it's HIM doing it isn't necessary for the Daytona 500 to function, so he will go to RAW, because his presence is much more crucial to the WWE than it is to NASCAR. But, that's just a guess.

Well, it is official. Cena cannot do both. Race is now 7pm EST. According to his twitter, Cena will be at RAW and not THE 500

The Rock could use this, saying that Cena couldnt keep to his commitments.

There is no way Cena misses Raw. His whole schtick against The Rock has been that he's been there while Rock hasn't, so on the night that The Rock returns Cena is going to "live via satellite" him? Not a chance. Cena will be there tomorrow night.

Besides, does it really take six hours (the time Cena waves the flag to the start of Raw in PST) to fly from Florida to Oregon, especially if he's doing it in a private jet (which he most assuredly is)? Even if it did, he probably only has to be there for the last 20-30 minutes of the show; I bet he could easily swing doing both.

You're exactly right. There's no way they can let this happen unless they want it to (to build up the feud even more). If he doesn't show up, he would look like the biggest hypocrite of all. Even the Lil Jimmies wouldn't even be able to defend that. He'll be there even if it means getting off of a plane, getting into a car and going right to the arena. I'm assuming The Rock will be going on at 10:50 ET so cena has until then to get there.

They have Rock live, so the show will do around 3.4 rating which is the highest in months so they dont need Cena there

They can do a satelite thingy and play well into the storyline of Rock burrying Cena for not being there etc.

Cena is already on his way to Oregon, if not already there. When they announced the race was going to be at 7 ET, he left. There's all sorts of UFC dudes floating around Daytona, too, so they'll prolly use on of them dudes to throw the green flag.
