Ziggler had two great outings with Cena last week in which both brought the best out of each other. The matches were booked as competitive but Cena went out of his way to get Ziggler's offense over and Ziggler has a lot of offensive moves for a heel.
On the other side of the coin Ziggler being the bump machine he is made Cena's offense look great as well, even the often poorly sold shoulder blocks. My only gripe was Cena's no selling of fatigue in his comeback sequence but he always does that so nothing new to gripe about.
I honestly felt these were the two best matches Cena has been in since his series with HBK, and that Ziggler was the best heel foil for Cena since Edge in 2006. It's a credit to both men that the two matches were also different and not just carbon copies as can be the case when some wrestlers face each other twice in close succession.
I am guessing the biggest mission with the two matches was to add layers of credibility to Ziggler to prepare for a main event push, and they succeeded completely.
