Pre-Show Stalwart
What does everyone think of Samoa Joe net being advertised for Genesis tonight? Do you think he is the mystery opponent for the x division title, do you think he will be involved with whoever is debuting tonight? Do you think he will cash in his briefcase at the end of the show? Maybe he is not involved at all. Any body else wondering this?

I still cant believe how management is handling Joe, this guy was best in the world for about 3 years (2005-2008) and then in 2009 he has been non-existant. it's probably due to the fact that he put on weight and the creative dont care no more. This guy needs a proper fued, this guy holds a world title shot oppertunity DAMMIT.

I see him making a appearence, thats it.

It is a bit odd that Samoa Joe is left off the card. He shouldn't be the mystery opponent against Amazing Red, he doesn't need to go back down. If it were up to me, I'd have him come out during the AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle match and watch, possibly making it look as if he would use his briefcase. AJ Styles wins (Even Angle would be fine, but Styles is preferred) and Samoa Joe goes into the ring to tell Styles that he (Joe) is the next number 1 contender (Using his briefcase, but for another night - the next PPV). Samoa Joe has to look somewhat significant at this PPV.

I agree! How do you give a man a briefcase towards a World Title Shot and do nothing with him. On that Live Monday Night edition of Impact Joe should have definitely been more relevant than what he was. I mean come on he fought Abyss! I get it, it was there first time meeting blah blah blah and all that but Unfortunately Joe is above doing matches with Abyss until Abyss starts looking like a credible main event threat again.

Joe should have been all over that show and even have had interaction with Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, and AJ Styles letting them know that he plans to cash his title shot in very soon. Definitely have mixed it up with the upper card. Maybe even come in during one of those Jeff Hardy segments to let him know this is a different beast in TNA. Hell even Joe could have went up to Lashley to shut him up considering they both hold World Heavyweight Title Shots.

Honestly I think the only reason Joe got the World Heavyweight Briefcase is because the Feast or Fired '09 was probably the least star studded of all the Feast or Fired we have already seen and Joe was pretty much the only logical choice besides maybe Kevin Nash.

I really hope Joe isn't Amazing Red's mystery opponent. I can see that spot going to Jeff Hardy or Shannon Moore most likely. Like all of you guys I hope they actually do something with Joe. Here's hoping they are just eventually working him back into a Main Event spot. Wars against Lashley or Daniels couldn't hurt as those guys sit on the fence of the Main Event too. Here's hoping the best for Joe.

i really dont know if hogan or biscoff arnt fans of joe or what coz it seems very odd that joe is not involved in this ppv at all, plus this week on impact joe lost cleanly to desmond wolfe in about 3 and a half minutes !!! i mean fair nuff for wolfe to get the win to gain momentum but to beat samoa joe in less than 4 minutes and cleanly seems abit odd to me

I don't know why I forgot, but Joe is carrying that title shot around. I don't think he'd cash it in yet, because Hogan seems content showcasing AJ and Angle in the main event, but he can definitely make an appearance during the match, or even just come out and call the match, teasing with cashing it in.

It's not much, but at least he'd be involved, and everyone would remember that The Samoan Submission Machine can cash in at any time.

I wondered what happened to Joe the last couple of months. He vanished from the company after the triple threat main event with no explanation (I assumed another minor injury) and then returned in Feast of Fired which is beneath him in all honesty (but then again someone has to win the heavyweight title shot and it's better to have someone legit) and he's spent the last month not even interacting with AJ besides on Twitter.

Now he's not even on the PPV and got short matches against Abyss and Desmond Wolfe, the latter of which he actually lost and it all seems a bit strange. Russo still reportedly has very big creative control despite what people assumed when Hogan and Bischoff arrived so I'm not going to blame the new regime and say they're trying to bury him but it is very odd he's been so low-key lately.

I did enjoy his brief stint with the X-Division title last year facing Homicide and such but I don't think he should revisit that well too often so I'll go with Shannon Moore or someone like that as Red's mystery opponent and agree that Joe will watch the main event, maybe even do commentary or something.

If we're lucky we could even get some huge altercation with Sting, Flair, Joe, Angle, AJ, Tomko (yay) and others. Nothing like a good brawl to end a PPV eh?

Ever since Joe lost the TNA title to Sting at BFG 08', he has been poorly handled. TNA should use Joe as their "Rabid Wolverine", and have him handle the roster with his stiff offensive maneuvers.

I liked that he won the MITB, but he has no build-up at all. Creative should let Joe side with Jarrett, and have Joe win the title to give Jarrett some pull in TNA.

I think at Genesis that Joe should come out at the end of the Styles/Angle match and tease cashing in his case. Either that or as NSL said, have him call the match just to keep them on their toes and let the world know Joe is still out there.

Maybe part of the reason he's not seen so much is because when he cashes in his case they want it be a total shock. Maybe they want it to make it so that it's like " The world has forgotten Joe, OH SHIT HE'S CASHING IN HISE CASE MTFO!!! " Anyone get what I'm saying?

Joe looks unhappy and injured out there and doesn't look motivated. If he got into good shape or even back into the shape he was before he'd be a lot better. I'm sure wrestling with all that extra weight has got to be hard especially when his knee (I think) is messed up and I'm sure he's got other injuries.

TNA did mess up with him but Joe is messing up right now. Get into shape and get motivated again and I'm sure he'd be pushed.

Uh...What? I'll admit he's not in the best shape, but he is back at the same size he was when he last held the title. He's down about 20 pounds, and he's been moving a lot better. Sure, it isn't flying around the ring like he can, but his style has just changed.

I personally thought his match with Abyss 2 weeks ago was a good return to form for him, and can't wait to see what he does at Genesis.

While I'll admit I am not a fan of any respect to Samoa Joe, I do find it odd how he's been booked and promoted as of late.

I decided, against better judgement, to watch the 01.14.10 episode of Impact and was kind of surprised how the match with Joe against Desmond was pretty one sided. I mean yeah, all day long I'll say Desmond is the better guy move wise and mic skill wise, but still, it was extremely one sided for a Samoa Joe match.

In my honest opinion, and I know I sound like a broken record here when it comes to discussing TNA, alot of the problem is how much attention Dixie wants to be thrown on AJ Styles. I'll admit it's because of AJ and Samoa Joe both that I do not watch TNA much anymore, but mainly because of Styles.

Personaly I'd like to see them use Joe in a better fashion than they have been the past year. The Nation Of Violence angle was just so poorly done. I mean it's so laughable how they make Joe out to be this unstoppable force and now he's just barely a mention at TNA. But then again, with all the talent TNA is bringing into the company, I think most viewers, outside of the die hard Styles and Joe fans, are going to realize how bland those two are compared to alot of the new guys and we may see more of this happen.
