You missed the awesome Oscars LD we had, asshat. Thanks to Loveless, Lee, cookis, Shango, IndyJon, GuyCompton, FrozenTrash, and (very surprisingly) klunderbunker, it was a huge fucking success.

But LOL... Tdigs, all your picks turned out to be gigantic losers (the reason Michael Haneke didn't win was because he didn't deserve be on the same stage as such a brilliant director like Quentin Tarantino), and all my predictions/hopes were spot on for the most part.

Also, Shango... Mo'Nique refused to do Precious media because she didn't get paid for it, and because of that rumors started flying that that's the type of thing voters notice and take offense to. So that's why she threw out that politics line. However, you are correct... she's a fucking bitch. And for the record, I haven't seen Precious but just looking at the previews, the performance doesn't strike me as truly great. You could have gotten any heavy set black woman to put on the same performance. It's not that hard to play a mean bitch....

Nice try, but AMPAS went with some film no one has heard of over The White Ribbon and A Prophet. Also, I'm pretty sure once you see A Prophet, you'll be polishing off its director's knob just as much as you polish off Tarantino's.

I'd rather be a talentless hack director who's funny and nice then a brilliant director who's a gigantic naive turd of a person. So in that department, QT > Haneke all day long. It's difficult to take Haneke seriously when every time he opens his mouth to the press he makes himself look like a bigger and bigger ******* than ever before. That and he's a monumental hypocrite.
