The man has skills, it was obvious both in his promo and in the ring...it's the gimmick that's got to go. Unless it could somehow become entertaining, but i doubt it. LOL Yet, I hope WWE doesn't bring him back later as the typical asian from the orient either...his gimmik deserves some thought. In fact, what do you guys think Jimmy Wang Yang's gimmick should be? And has anyone see him wrestle before? What was his gimmick then? Why am I asking all these questions? LOL Curoius I guess.

jimmy wany yang has been in the wwe for a few years, first teaming with tajiri
then has a cruiserweight for a while. Damn the guy wrestled at wrestlemania a few years ago. He is best known for probely with his sereis of matches against Paul London. They were amazing. Unfortunely they were on Velocity. Also anybody think it was wierd how JBL said he saw Jimmy Wang Yang wrestle for years then that fucking moron Michael Cole says how could you have seen him wrestle this is his first time ever on Smackdown! I hate Cole!!\

OK either you are joking or never watched later WCW or Velocity hell or saw the stable Tajiri had on Smackdown a few years ago (sorry if you are a newer fan because that would acount for basicly all of the above.)
He was called Akio in his last WWE run and I guess after the stable broke up he didn't have much of a gimmick but he did have some of the best matches in Velocity history with Paul London.
On the subject of what I think of Jimmy Wang Yang and what I think (topic name) the first time I saw Jimmy's new gimmick I wanted to hunt down the guy that came up with it and hurt them really bad, but it's grown on me and must be one of the top 5 things on Smackdown right now.

Jimmy Wang Yang is a horrible gimmick. The wrestler who has the gimmick sucks as it is and is a total pud. Akio sucked even as what he is a Japanese wrestler.

The cowboy gimmick is okay- not the best, but no really horrible either. Wrestling wise he's amazing, and just as good as when I saw him a few years ago. I really hope they give him a decent push.

I think Jimmy should go heel. it would be funny. Him trying to convince everyone that he's a cowboy when he really isn't. I was dissapointed that he was face.

JWY is a great wrestler. He has the skills that will take him far in the Cruiserweight, and maybe even the US Title picture. Yeah, the gimmick kinda blows, but give the man credit for running with it. I mean, he could have basically phoned it in and turned in horrible promos and not cared, or gone the Dustin Runnles route in WCW and after all the build up, got in the ring and said he wasn't gonna do this crap and walked out.

My biggest problem is just the gimmick itself. He is an amazing wrestler. I remember him and Kaz Hayashi as the Jung Dragons against Jamie Noble and Evan Karagis at I believe was WCW Sin in 2001. An amazing match. Akio is probably one of the best japanese performers of all time. I think the perfect fit for him would be an a japanese mafia style gimmick, similar to what he had before. But he, and possibly Kaz himself would have to work for a bigger head honcho. It was such a great gimmick the first time around...btu the writers effed it up like normal...

hes definitely a keeper in wwe he can play his role and wrestle great, he needs a push but then so does sylvan-- they work good together
