I'm surprised. I didn't see this coming. I figured his injury wasn't that serious. I wish the best for him. It's kind of a blessing in disguise for Jimmy. He got an opportunity to grow as a solo wrestler and him and his wife could be used in different capacities.
I'm viewing it as quite the opposite as you, I think this is horrible for Jimmy. You figure all he's really done since his debut, is team with his brother. So now that he's out what's he going to do? Will he be like Curtis Axel was when Ryback got injured? 1 squash match and then vanishing from our TV's for months? Will it be like when one of the Los Matadores got hurt and they managed to stay on TV for like a month because of the bull but then literally just vanished? Jimmy will be a jobber most likely and that might hurt the stock of the team when Jey returns.
Granted if Naomi does become divas champion maybe we could see a similar thing to Natalya and Tyson Kidd? Maybe even leading into a midcard feud for them...yet without Jey there it can't be for the tag titles.
Bad for the WWE also because the Usos were about to be the only credible face team, New Day was about to turn heel, Ascension are heel, Kidd/Cesaro are heels, Lucha Dragons are fresh on the scene, Matadores aren't really tag champ material but they might have to be until Jey returns. And this is why I never have faith in the tag team division, good luck WWE
