Jey Uso out 6 months. | WrestleZone Forums

Jey Uso out 6 months.

I'm surprised. I didn't see this coming. I figured his injury wasn't that serious. I wish the best for him. It's kind of a blessing in disguise for Jimmy. He got an opportunity to grow as a solo wrestler and him and his wife could be used in different capacities.

I'm viewing it as quite the opposite as you, I think this is horrible for Jimmy. You figure all he's really done since his debut, is team with his brother. So now that he's out what's he going to do? Will he be like Curtis Axel was when Ryback got injured? 1 squash match and then vanishing from our TV's for months? Will it be like when one of the Los Matadores got hurt and they managed to stay on TV for like a month because of the bull but then literally just vanished? Jimmy will be a jobber most likely and that might hurt the stock of the team when Jey returns.

Granted if Naomi does become divas champion maybe we could see a similar thing to Natalya and Tyson Kidd? Maybe even leading into a midcard feud for them...yet without Jey there it can't be for the tag titles.

Bad for the WWE also because the Usos were about to be the only credible face team, New Day was about to turn heel, Ascension are heel, Kidd/Cesaro are heels, Lucha Dragons are fresh on the scene, Matadores aren't really tag champ material but they might have to be until Jey returns. And this is why I never have faith in the tag team division, good luck WWE

He could turn heel, be in mixed tag matches with Naomi. Jimmy is entertaining unlike Axel before Axelmania came around.

Kidd/Cesaro could be a face tag team if WWE pushes it. PTP also could be another legit team if WWE finally pushes the trigger on them instead of having them be a comedy team.

I think this is a blessing is disguise for the tag division. Usos have been the center of the division for almost 3 years with no competition. We had an USO overload and they were becoming stale. This gives jimmy time to develop as a singles star maybe support Naomi in her hunt for the divas title and when jey comes back we get a fresh set of twins to make a splash once again in the division. I'm really pulling for Lucha dragons and PTP to step up in the place of the Usos

Jimmy has been working solo on live events picking up wins against lower card talents. I expect this to spill over onto Main Event and Super Stars. If he gets a decent reaction he may get a small push on Raw and Smackdown. Personally I don't see much coming from a singles move. There just isn't much personality there. With the talent on the mid card there is no way he belongs there. Maybe he is best used in NXT's mid card or as enhancement to the bigger names.

It's easy have jimmy answer John cena open challenge and see what the kid is made of I for one think he will kill it make him kick out of one or do I dare say two AA's and go from there it would be bullshit if he sits out for six months to or if he becomes a jobber

Bad news for The Uso's, but it gives the opportunity for another team to take the spot as top team in the division, and we get to see what Jimmy Uso can do on his own for the next few months.

If Jimmy impresses in singles matches, I wouldn't be surprised if WWE decide to have him working alongside Roman Reigns due to them being related, which could work.

However, unfortunately I could see him ending up jobbing after a couple of months if his singles push doesnt work. Jimmy and Jey just scream "permanent tag team wrestlers" to me, I don't see him as a singles guy. Hope he succeeds and changes my mind though.

I like The Uso's. They have really helped the division over the last few years and just as soon as there are a whole bunch of teams to work with, this happens. A real shame. When Jey comes back hopefully there is still a good group of teams for them to work with. I do also think they will be crazy over when a return happens.

Replacing them probably isn't an issue. Cesaro and Kidd, Dragons, PTP, New Day and The Ascension is a decent group. You can add various random parings and they will cope for a few months. In the long term, Blake and Murphy as well as Enzo and Big Cass could come up to the main-roster.

As for Jimmy, I can't see a big future as a singles star but it will be good to see him get a chance. Maybe there are opportunities to work with guys like Sheamus and Barrett for a decent amount of time. There are also worse options than sending him to NXT as a singles star. 6 months is plenty time for them to create a story of him trying to build a career as a singles superstar; getting to the main roster and either it being either a success or a failure. Plus he can lose to someone like Owens because he is just a tag-team wrestler.

I think it's safe to say that Jimmy will now be inserted in the Diva's title story line in some capacity, just to keep him around and in front of the crowd. It would make no sense for Jimmy to just be "okay" with Naomi's change in attitude, given how they've been booked for the past few months... Naomi has played a big part in the Uso's last 2 feuds, and WWE has been putting them over as this "perfect couple."

It might make sense to keep Jimmy face for a while longer while he tries to combat his wife's change in attitude, before succumbing and aligning with her as a heel. Yes, I know it would make Jimmy a secondary piece in a Diva's program, but let's be honest... Jimmy and Jey have been hit with the curse of twindom. A large part of the audience is always going to view them as a pair, and it's going to be twice as hard to rise up the singles ranks, especially one as cluttered as we have now. Naomi as a face Diva's champion... meh, but I think Naomi as a heel Diva's champ with a heel Jimmy Uso protecting her ass would make for some compelling Diva segments.

Plus, there is always the option of having Jey return as a face and feuding with his brother, which would make for quite a program heading into Mania.

I knew he was having shoulder troubles and that it kept him really participating at WrestleMania, but I didn't know it was so serious that he'd be on the shelf for half a year.

It sucks that he'll be out for so long as I thought The Usos were a good babyface tag team, but this is a potential opportunity in disguise. Jimmy Uso, real name Jonathan Fatu, could possibly go onto do something in a singles career. Since Naomi looks to have turned heel and is married to Jimmy, maybe some sort of heel power couple angle could be done with them. Both The Usos have personality and I think Jimmy has the potential to make something out of going heel as a singles guy with his squeeze by his side.

I mean, it's not like he has anything else to do since his tag team partner's gonna be on the shelf for half a year. He's got personality and can be entertaining inside the ring, so I just think it's preferable to try to do something with him rather than spending the next 6 months jobbin' the crap out of him.

Well, I suppose this answers the question of whether Jey aggravated his injury at WM31 or it was planned he show up and intentionally be removed from the match within moments. I figured it was a work, that his shoulder was hurting too much to work a full match, yet the brothers had to come out as a team to make the match official, so they marched him out there with the plan of taking him right out. Wrong-o.

Then again, I also figured Dean Ambrose was legitimately hurt when thrown on top of that ladder and I wondered how long it would be before we saw him in the ring again. Wrong again.

Pro wrestling being what it is, we can never really tell when someone is legitimately injured and when it's part of the act.

Get well soon, Jey.

You can never tell with these things can you? Barrett was out for quite some time with his shoulder, and wasn't Sheamus as well?

I'm not used to seeing one Uso without the other. That's the weird thing about this team, neither one of them are really know as singles wrestlers, unlike other tag teams. Don't really ever remember seeing a match with just one of them in it to tell you the truth, so this will be a very telling time for Jimmy Uso, as with his wife's heel turn, she won't be there to support him either.

I hope he can do well, but I don't see him getting a huge push, or teaming up with Reigns. Reigns is so far above him on the roster, it would be a step down. What I believe will happen is Jimmy Uso will just be put in filler matches, to keep him on TV, and when his brother returns we'll see them back together.

Prayers to Jey Uso for a quick and successful recovery.

A thought occurred to me. What are the chances Creative uses the old twin switcheroo when Jimmy returns? This would be a tactic most recently used by the Bella Twins.

We've done the old switcheroo on RAW a couple of times when the illegal Uso won the match. But the idea is very interesting. They would have to wear the face paint on the same side then wouldn't they?

Even with the paint it can be difficult to tell which is which. Maybe toss in a twist where "no one knows" Jey is back and he starts messing with Jimmy's life.
