Jay Gruden Is The New HC Of The Redskins

Cena's Little Helper

Mid-Card Championship Winner
I would love to get Shocky's opinion on this one. As a long-time suffering Redskins fan, I must say that I am a little disappointed with this hire; this is for two reasons. One, I am really not sure who is responsible for Andy Dalton's regular-season success: is it Andy Dalton himself or is it Jay Gruden's system? Two, Gruden hasn't shown signs of working with what he has in terms of his offense. RGIII is the antithesis of the drop-back pocket passer. I would much rather have seen someone like Ken Whisenhut (sp) or Greg Roman come in to work with our franchise QB. Oh, well, here's hoping I'm wrong.

Cincinnati resident and life-long Bengals fan and I'm excited to get rid of him. He was not a very good OC his play calls have been suspect multiple times and good riddance and we hopefully welcome Hue Jackson with open arms and maybe we'll be able to win a stupid post season game. To the Redskins good luck with Gruden as your HC but I don't think it's going to work out for you.

If you think Gruden was the problem with Cincinnati's offense you are out of your mind. He didn't fumble the football and throw multiple bad interceptions in that Wild Card game.

Gruden has had success at every level he has been at. Obviously the AFL and UFL are not the National Football League but he has shown he can be successful leading a team in a professional football league. In the NFL he took a Bengals offense with almost no talent and a rookie qb and in only 3 years they became a top 10 offense in total yards and a top 6 offense in scoring. In the UFL as an offensive coordinator he helped Brooks fucking Bollinger become the MVP of that league. RGIII is easily the most talented quarterback Gruden has ever had to work with and he will work wonders with him. I think it's a great hire for Washington.

I am beyond excited to be getting rid of Jay Gruden. I think he did a good job of elevating this offense to a certain level, but his play calling left a lot to be desired. Dalton, made mistakes, but Gruden put his quarterback into terrible positions a lot of the time. I absolutely love the hiring of Hue Jackson. I was hoping this exact scenario would play out back when Dalton had his first slump quarter way into the season.

Again, Gruden is a capable coach to a certain level, to me he clearly capped out what he gave to this team. Addition by subtraction. I will cry myself to sleep if they lose Zimmer.
